Nocturne waits for Mori to decide that she's done messing around in the hot springs. He's giving her all the time that she wants trying to make up for his words earlier.

"Let me know when you're done Mori and I'll get you a towel," Nocturne says trying to remain patient.

Mori immediately stands up, "I'm ready master."

Nocturne grits his teeth to help him keep his temper. He gestures and hands her a towel. He offers a hand to help her out of the hot springs. Mori looks at it then starts to get out on her own. The towel getting wet in the process.

When she's out Nocturne takes the wet towel away and hands her a new one. She takes it and dries off not saying anything. She goes to put her clothes back on and finds them gone. She shrugs and wraps the towel around her and starts walking barefoot back to the cabin.

"You're not going anywhere until you get dressed Mori." Nocturne yells out finally losing the battle over his anger.

Mori promptly sits down in the middle of the path. She can't get dressed if she doesn't have clothes to get dressed in and Nocturne won't let her go back to the cabin to get dressed so she decides to make herself comfortable.

"What the hell are you doing Mori?" Nocturne asks.

"Just what you said master. I can't leave until I get dressed and my clothes seem to be missing so I can't go anywhere. I saw no reason to keep standing so I sat down. Should I have remained standing?" Mori moves to stand once more and finds herself held down by Nocturne.

Mori refuses to look at the enraged vampire. She herself is more than a little angry at him so she keeps herself locked up tight to not feed into his anger.

"What are you playing at Mori?" Nocturne asks with a soft voice. Mori could almost believe that Nocturne actually cares for her and is actually hurt by her actions. But she knows that vampires are master manipulators and know how to get the result they wish for.

"Playing master? That's not allowed, playing is for the vampires only. Us useless humans are nothing more than food, bed mates and toys to the masters." It is a truth that is taught to all during their school years to keep the humans inline. Nocturne can't get angry at her for telling him exactly what he had had humans taught.

"You know what I mean Mori. This isn't like you, what the hell is going on?" Nocturne demands.

Mori shrugs, "I broke the law as you made clear to me. I wasn't giving you enough respect. So now I will be following the law master." She refuses to make eye contact unless she is ordered to. She couldn't use Lord or King as was his right due to his order but master will suffice. Besides she knows it's pissing the hell out of him when she does so.

"Don't push me Mori." Nocturne says his hold on her chin tightening. Mori doesn't say anything. At this point if she did he'd be likely to kill her.

Mori decides that she just won't talk to him. She will become the nonentity most humans are to vampires.

Nocturne lets her go when she does't speak and he sees the bruises already forming on her chin from his grip. He closes his eyes. He'd done it again. He stands and walks away in disgust. He gestures and clothes appear next to Mori. "Get dressed and return to the cabin." He leaves Mori alone.

Although Mori doesn't sense any of the vampires as being near she doesn't believe that Nocturne would leave her alone and unprotected. She gets dressed and as he ordered she returns home and waits in the dark of the cabin.

Nocturne returns to a dark cabin several hours later. He comes in and finds Mori asleep in a sitting position almost falling off the bed. "Mori why didn't you go to bed if you were tired?" Nocturne asks softly. His voice wakens her and she stiffens at his words.

"You told me to return to the cabin, you didn't give me permission to go to bed," Mori replies softly.
Nocturne closes his eyes. He's about ready to cry. How had things gotten to this point? "You didn't need my permission to go to bed Mori. You've never needed it before."

"Perhaps, but I didn't realize just how much I've been breaking the law before master. I've been disrespecting you far too much." Mori replies looking somewhere over his shoulder as he kneels in front of her.

"Had it mattered to me earlier I would have said something," Nocturne says caressing her face and pushing back a lock of hair that had fallen forward.

Mori doesn't reply since it was a statement and not a question. Nocturne feels disturbed by this but doesn't say anything. She's beginning to act like all his other human slaves. He frowns as he looks at her in the dark. Mori gives nothing away, she's like a doll, no emotion whatsoever. "Mori, won't you tell me what you're thinking?"

"It would be disrespectful for me to tell you anything master," Mori replies. In truth Mori is finding it hard to keep her emotions in check. Nocturne's touch is making her want to shiver from the pleasure.

Nocturne shrugs, "If you will not enjoy being my bed mate, then perhaps one of the others will."

That statement elicits a response, but not the one he'd hoped for. A tear escapes down Mori's face. "It is of course your right to take what you will." Mori meant that he gave her the valley and now he's taking it back.

"They are still under your protection Mori. I still have to follow your orders in regards to them." Nocturne says trying to feel his way in this new mine field he'd created.

"I have nothing Nocturne. Humans have no rights and no property. The valley and the villagers are yours." Mori says woodenly.

Nocturne stands up and walks away. "I gave you this valley Mori. That includes this people, you are my wife that makes you more than other humans."

"But still not equal to the vampire," Mori responds.

"Is that what this is all about? Mori I told you before that you are above all other vampires other than myself. You now have two estates as well as this valley. Two estates that you earned on your own." Nocturne says his hands busy running through his hair. He doesn't know how to get out of this mine field.

"It doesn't matter master." Mori replies she's too tired to keep playing this game. She just wants it all to end. "In a short time it will all be yours once more anyway." The fetuses were growing far faster than a human child's would. "With my death my property would revert to you."

"You're not going to die Mori," Nocturne says and allows the very real terror he feels at her words come through.

"I'm sure by then we'll find some way to cut the bond between us so that you won't die as well. But just ignoring a problem isn't going to make it go away. All that does is make things worse when you can no longer ignore it. There is a high death rate among the human brood mares. Twins double the chances of death. I'm too old to have children and although you fixed it so my body is younger, it doesn't change the fact that it still weakens me. I told you before death doesn't frighten me. We are old friends, death and I." Mori says before passing out.

"Dammit Mori, why do you keep passing out?" Nocturne delves into her and finds nothing. He slices his wrist and feeds it to her to bring her round, but this time not even his blood brings her back. Nocturne feels the fear start to take over. Could her words be true? Would his children kill her? The thought makes his throat close up in fear.
