Mori wakes to the feeling of something warm, thick and metallic in her mouth. She swallows the blood and then pushes away the wrist that is being forced next to her lips. She isn't strong enough to actually push it away, but once the owner of the wrist feels her push he pulls it away on his own.

Mori looks up into the worried eyes of a strange vampire and is confused. She hears Nocturnes voice and turns towards it escaping the worried look of the stranger. "Why'd you stop feeding her? She couldn't have had enough yet."

"She's awake Lord Nocturne." The soft spoken words of the stranger reply. "She pushed my wrist away, I didn't wish to force my blood on her when it would hurt her to do so. Did I do wrong?" The stranger hides it well, but Mori could tell that he fears Nocturne greatly.

"No, you did right, Lord Lin." Nocturne changes his angry tone to one much more pleasant.

His tone does nothing to ease the fear of the vampire Lord though and Mori doesn't blame him. The king is known to attack after being pleasant, with no warning. It's just like living with her abusive father all over again.

As if Nocturne could hear her thoughts he stiffens in outrage and anger, but lets none of it show. Somehow Mori knows though. She isn't reassured by his hiding of his feelings either.

Nocturne pulls himself together and even manages to smile at his underling. "Truly, Lord Lin, you made the right choice. If she requires more I'll give it to her myself, you are free to return to your previous duties and pleasures until your next scheduled visit."

"Thank you S-Lord Nocturne." Lord Lin is quick to say and even quicker to leave.

Before Mori can stop herself she speaks, "It amazes me that any of the vampire remain loyal to you, you inspire such fear in them."

Instead of the angry reaction she expected Nocturne chuckles darkly. "Perhaps if they didn't fear my brother more I'd have fewer loyal subjects. I know after the actions you witnessed in your dream-"

"It's alright Nocturne, I knew about your reputation. I shouldn't react to you any differently just because I dreamed about-" Mori says cutting off Nocturne. Not something anyone has dared do since he'd taken the throne of the vampires. He hides his shock but then cuts her off.

"It was no dream and you know it. You saw what I saw because you were seeing through my eyes. It's not something I've ever heard of happening before but then the bond we share isn't something that has been studied. And as far as I know none of the ones so bound had been breeding at the same time. That might be the reason for the stronger bond between us." Nocturne watches her intently as he explains, but Mori gives nothing up.

"Why did you compare me to your father Mori?" Nocturne is curious to hear her answer.

Mori closes her eyes and gives a snort. "My father, after my mother died started drinking and became very abusive. I learned to be very careful about my words and tried to stay as far away from him physically as I could. It was like walking on freaking eggshells living with him. I can see that your underling, Lord Lin, feels that way about you too. As do I, at least sometimes I do. It's something I had thought I'd never have to deal with again. Now I find myself in the same damn position I was in before, only this time, there is no escape. And quite frankly, I'm in a much worse position than I was in before."

Nocturne didn't much care for the comparison between him and her father. He remembers what he'd seen of her former life when he first fed from her. He'd seen what her father had done to her. Now he understands why she said what she did earlier that day.

"Mori, the bond we have between us, it won't let me treat you like that you know. If I were to hurt you, the pain would hit me as well. You wouldn't be able to stop me from feeling your pain and it would hit me making me weak and vulnerable until you healed. I will never hurt you Mori."

Mori looks at him in disbelief. "You will feel my pain when I have your children?"

"Yes." Nocturne replies succintly. He's not looking forward to it actually.

Mori smirks a bit nastily. "Too bad all women can't have a bond like this with their partners. Men might treat them nicer. There sure as hell would be fewer children. The men wouldn't want to go through that pain again."

"You're hilarious Mori." Nocturne replies sarcastically. "But you're correct. Too bad I can't market it. It would be the answer to the world's over population problem."

"I thought that's why we are considered property of you vampires. So you could feed on us to your hearts delight. We are considered cattle are we not? You feed and cull us as you would, does that not answer the problem of over population?" Mori is too tired to keep her eyes open.

"I don't think you got enough blood Mori." Nocturne goes over to her and props her up. After prepping her he slices his wrist and forces it to her mouth.

Mori is too tired and weak to fight it, she drinks the warm blood. She likes his blood better than Lord Lin's or Lord Terrance's. She takes several swallows before pushing his wrist away. "Enough Nocturne or I'll be sick." Mori blames her tiredness for what she says next.

"Your blood tastes better than Lord Terrance's or Lord Lin's." She hears Nocturne chuckle and her heart skips a beat. She falls into sleep listening to that dark chuckle and feels comforted.
