Mori wakes the next morning starving. She gets up quickly and gets ready for the day, she's sure that Nocturne has plans of some sort and other vampires are likely to come by at any time. She doesn't want to be found naked when they come.

She quickly runs through her morning routine and this time doesn't find herself light headed or dizzy like yesterday. She manages to make herself some bacon and eggs. She figures that Nocturne is out finding his own breakfast and does her best to block whatever image that tries to come through.

She remembers quite vividly her dreams she had about death the night before. She knows that it's not something she would do, but she knows that it happened. She refuses to think about it or she'll lose her breakfast and she doesn't like the idea of another bout of vomiting.

"Oh, good Mori you're up and you've eaten already?"  Nocturne says as he comes in the cabin.

"Yes." It's all Mori can get out. She is tied to the king of vampires by unbreakable bonds, but she hadn't really been afraid of him until now. Even so she keeps her feelings under tight control, she won't let him know how she feels.

"Mori." His voice stops her in her tracks.

Nocturne is watching Mori carefully. Something has changed between them he can tell. Yesterday she had been almost carefree by the time they returned to the cabin, but now just him calling her name freezes her. He doesn't like it, but knows why.

"You remember." That's all he says. He watches her for any sign of what she's thinking or feeling, but she truly gives nothing away other than her freezing like she had.

"Did it really happen?" Mori asks him, tone leaden. She knows and dreads the answer, but in a way she's testing Nocturne to see if he will answer her truthfully.

Nocturne lets the silence grow before he finally answers. "Yes." Mori gives him no answer or even hint once he does.

"Well I guess  I should be thankful you didn't lie to me." Mori keeps her voice even and lets none of the bitterness she feels out.

"I have no reason to lie to you Mori." Nocturne says, he feels that he's on dangerous grounds here but doesn't understand why.

"You have no reason to tell me the truth either. I'm just a mere human female." Now Nocturne knows he's on dangerous ground although the words are nothing but the truth.

"Mori, there is very little reason for me to lie." Nocturne starts out.

"Please Nocturne. Even your name that you demand I call you is a lie. It is well known that vampires have little love for the truth, especially when it comes to humans. Just spare me any further lies...forgive me, I have no rights to ask or demand anything of you." Mori had forgotten just who she'd been talking to.

"You fear me now." Nocturne states. In truth it's better that way but he'd rather enjoyed being around someone that didn't fear him or what he could do to them. Rumors about him abound and if anything the truth is far worse than any rumor. That she hadn't feared him before is nothing short of a miracle, but now she witnessed what he's like, just a taste and a mild one at that, and now she fears.

"For myself? No, not really. For the villagers, yes." Mori answers voice steady and even, soft but easily heard especially for him. "I am somewhat protected at least until after the children are born. After that you will do with me as you wish, if I survive that is. You could torture me to the brink of death and heal me day after day once the children are born. I know that, I'm not completely stupid. As long as it doesn't cause my death..."

"Enough!" Now Nocturne is angry. "Do you think this kind of bond..."

Mori starts swaying, she fights it but is unable to withstand the sudden attack of dizziness that strikes her. Nocturne's angry voice fades as she once more enters darkness.

Nocturne watches her sway and does nothing thinking she's just doing this to avoid his anger, it's not until she actually starts falling that he realizes that she's not faking it. He manages to catch her just before she hits the stone floor and carries her to the bed. Only then realizing that she had only had her human food and she still needs blood for the children.
