What A 'Friend' You Are
How come every time I roll the dice,
You offer the wrong advice?
Taking advantage of my loneliness
Making empty promises,
I'm but a jester in the presence of king nothing.
When we're alone, you're intimate with me,
Sharing personal feelings.
But always so cold and distant in front of the group.
Many times I wanted to break free,
But you always put your hand on me,
Promising it was all just fun.
Liar! Take your hand from me,
I'll rip it from your wrist,
Is what I would say if you weren't so intimidating.
You control my thoughts, my feelings, opinions, and even what I wear.
