Chapter 4: Do you Remember me?
Cory's POV
"Come on sleepy head!" I heard someone shout. I woke up and got up on my elbows. "What?" "We get to see the people," Christina said, sounding excited. I groaned and got to my feet. "Ok,ok. When?" "Right now!" I looked at her shocked. "Now?" She nodded. I grabbed my pass card, put on the necklace, that held the card, around my neck, and walked out the door. Outside Max as waiting for us. "Hey, you ready?" Me and Christina nodded. We started walking down to the cells. "So, why are we meeting them?" I asked. Max shrugged and said, "I was just ordered to do so and not to tell you guys why." I nodded. Singer ran ahead when we were close to the cell entrance. "Why are you so excited?" Max asked. "I've just never met outsiders!" I laughed. Max just stared at her, then at me. "Just know that they will know you, but they tried to do something bad to you, so do not believe them." I nodded. He opened the doors and led us down. I started walking slower as we got closer to the people. "What's wrong bro?" Christina asked, noticing that I was slowing down. "I just, don't feel comfortable." She tilted her head and asked, "Why?" "Have you ever had that feeling you're forgetting something, but you know what it is?" Christina looked at the ground and nodded. "Yeah, when I first woke up. I didn't know what I was missing, but it was you!" She exclaimed, hugging me tight. I hugged her back. "Stay behind me, I have a bad feeling though." She nodded. I grabbed her hand and we followed Max. "You better shut your mouth," Max said to a person in the cell. I walked up next to him and saw it was a ghoul. "Cory? Is that you?" I stepped back. "Um, Max?" Max kicked the bars. "I told you to shut up ghoul." "No way, is that an Enclave suit?" I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around and saw a man with goggles and a light brown cloak. I then heard barking next to the ghoul. "Oh, hi there," Christina said, slowly walking to the dog in the cell. "Cory, can you understand Uni?" I heard a robotic voice ask. In the cell next to the man was a red house robot with one missing robot eye. "N-no," I finally said. Max gave me a disappointed/angry face. I heard barking again, but then it said, "What?" I looked at the dog. "It's so cute Cory," Christina said. I grabbed Christina's hand and pulled her next to me. "Cory? Listen to me!" I looked at the ghoul. "It's me, Adam. What did they do to you?!" I opened my mouth, nothing came out. "I told you to shut up!" Max yelled. "I think we should go," Christina said. I nodded in agreement. As we were about to leave, Christina let go of my hand. "Cory!" I looked back and saw that the ghoul 'Adam' was holding her by the hand. "Let go of me," She said. Max took out his pistol and pointed it at the ghoul. "Let her go right now." "Not until you let us talk to him!" Adam shouted. "Or else I snap her neck." Those words angered me. I kicked the pistol out of Max's hand and grabbed it in mid air. I pushed my hand forward and it forced Adam to get pushed to the wall. I grabbed Christina, put her behind me, and pointed the gun at the ghoul. "You listen to me. I don't know you, and I've never seen you." I lifted the ghoul to come closer to the bars. "And you touch my sister again, that's the last thing you'll see." I released the ghoul and dropped the gun. "Wow, never expected you to do that," Max said, grabbing the pistol from the ground. I breathed out, trying to relax myself. "Who are you?" I heard the dog ask. I looked at the ground. "I don't know," I whispered. I grabbed Christina's hand, again, and walked out of the cell room.
Uni's POV
Cory, or whoever that was, walked out of the cell hall, taking the half camera face girl with him, I like her though, she's cool. "So, how do you like your friend?" Max asked, leaning against the wall. "What did you do to him?!" I shouted. "Shut up you mutt!" Max shouted, kicking the bars. "What. Did. You. Do?!" Adam shouted, panting between words. "We fixed him, but don't worry, he'll never remember you," Max said, walking away once again laughing. I growled. "That wasn't Cory," Nick said. "Wow, you noticed?" Adam said, doing a fake laugh after. "They must have erased his memory," Dawn said. "Then how did he do that thing he did to Adam?" I asked. "I don't know."
Christina's POV
Cory's been quiet ever since we came back from meeting the outsiders. "Hey, you okay?" I asked, sitting next to him on his bed. He was looking down at the ground, resting his head on his hands. "I'm fine," He said. "No you're not." He chuckled and lifted up his head to face me. "Well, would you like to know what's bothering me?" I nodded. "Well, I just met some people I think I've met before. I threatened one of them and then the dog had to say, who are you and then, then." Cory then began to cry. I hugged him and stroked his hair. "Calm down, if you know these people talk to them," I said to him. He shook his head. "I did something to Adam, he was my friend, I think." "Yeah, it was weird. You levitated him or something." He sniffed. "Yeah, but, how do I know that I know these people?" I shrugged. "You'll remember, just wait, it'll come to you." "When do we have to get going?" He asked. I looked at my watch and saw that we were about 5 minutes late. "We're late! Come on!" I said. I grabbed Cory's hand and ran out the room. "What are we going to do?" Cory asked. "Work on the lights. The boss said that some have been going weird lately. So he asked us to go check it out and fix it if possible," I told Cory. He nodded to me and we continued walking. I feel like a jerk...making him stay away and not remember his dear friends....I'm his sister, I should be helping him. I nodded to myself. And that's what I'll do....
