Chapter 7

A month later...

His soulmates and him got even a deeper bond but so far, they still don't know about his magic. He couldn't tell them and still learning how to control it. So that it was not uncommon him to be with Merlin. As the two in the evening working on their magic.

Even Merlin and Arthur seemed to be closer now and he was happy for the two. It was a good thing, but he still was worried because he had no idea what the prince thought about magic. So far, he avoided asking his by now best friends about their impute.

But the gaze and the anger when hearing Urthur's one made him believe that they weren't agree on his thinking of magic, but they couldn't tell as he still wasn't sure. There was also the fact that he had no idea about Arthur's input. All was well, that was until he heard that people starting to die because of a sickness and that this could be magic related.

He wasn't sure what to think of this but people starting to get sicker and dying 24 hours later. So, he tried to help out as much as possible. But this sickness was strange, and he felt helpless seeing people die. Magic might help but the risk was way too big.

He ended up helping out Gwen and trying his best to help her out with his father. What was weird was that his Spidey sense tingled when he drank the water. But that can't be because he had taken this himself out on the well. So, he brushed it aside.

Later on, he went back to his soulmates chambers and he felt off. His Spidey sense constantly buzzed, and he cursed under his breath. That was not a good thing because it meant danger but there was no danger.

"You good, Cal?" Delbert asked concerned and he realized that Carnell was not there.

"I may have found out that the cause is; the water." He blurted out and Delbert stared at him and alarmed expression was now on his expression.

"Don't tell me you..." He trailed off and he rubbed the back on his head and feeling really of dread washed over him.

"Yeah but I didn't know that the water was not alright. But should have not brushed my sense away." He felt his cheeks heat up and Delbert gave him the eyebrow of disappointment.

"Your Spidey sense are there for a reason, moron." It was said with a deadpan expression.

"Let's just hope that you don't end up sick." He could just nod at this and going soon to sleep. But not without getting scolded by Carnell for not listening to them.

Then the morning came and got he felt not alright. His body was aching, and he felt cold. So, he snuggles into the warmth of Delbert who was always having the higher body heat. His head was pounding, and he felt his throat in pain badly.

"Shit..." He heard Carnell curse out and feeling a comfortable coolness from the hand on his forehead. "Delbert....going...." He could hear half of the things and then he fell unconscious as the exhaustion making it nearly impossible to stay awake.

He slowly opened his eyes. His conscious had been in and out until now, but the weird part was that he was feeling good again. It was as if the illness never had happened. A cool cloth was over his forehead.

"Finally, god this was the scary." He heard Delbert say in relieve and he could just agree as he never had felt like this. Two people pulling him soon into a hug and he couldn't help but wrap his arms together feeling relieved to finally be better.

"I don't know how Merlin done it but he did it and I don't even care when you would have used you know what." It was mumbled from Delbert and he felt himself stiffen now.

"Second this and screw my father. The male did cause this mess and doesn't even think of how magic users feel. Magic itself isn't evil but the person who uses it can be an evil person. Would be the same thing when someone would say swords are evil or any weapons. Doesn't seem logical to me." Carnell huffed out and frustration was heard into his voice as well.

That moronic brother of his, did go that far, and it was making him decide to tell them. They had the right to know and from what he knew the two weren't approving of Uther.

"C-can we have a talk?" His voice was shaky, and nervousness dripped under it. Because this could go either got three ways. One they accept it and don't really care about it. Two feels betrayed that he didn't tell them and being mad at him or three telling Uther -which he doubt it- and him getting either executed or banned from Camelot.

The hug left with this even when he wanted to stay like this longer, it was important right now. The two sat up and he as well. His gaze had avoided them, and he tries not to think about chicken out or simply run away.

"Whatever your trying to tell us, we won't judge nor will we hate you." It was said reassuring by Delbert.

"Indeed, take deep breathes and take your time." Once again, a reassurance came from the second person.

It was helping a bit, but he just couldn't help but feel nervous. Feel that this could end up badly, but he had to. The two deserving to know about him having magic.

"Have an open mind because what I am going to tell you is something that your father or king Uther didn't think of. Nor would he ever think that this can be true." He warned and this time he gazed into the two eyes as both stayed silently waiting for him to continue.

"I was born with a gift and another person. It's not my place to tell you two who the second one is." He gave the two a wary look before continuing.

"I could move things before I even could talk or walk and the same is said to the other person. We both were shunned out because of this. I am neither a sorcerer, druid nor a priest. The same is said for the person. We both are warlocks and born like this and I know it's unbelievable but it doesn't mean that it can't be true because we have effing dragons so it shouldn't be too unbelievable." He felt a weight leaving his shoulders after he ranted this and glanced at the two who blinked and shrugging at the end.

"Meh, doesn't change anything to me."

"Same, be as chalant as you want about this entire thing. We both won't judge. Heck we did have in the past two people who were close to us who had this." It was said with a reassurance. "So, does that mean you don't need spells?" It was asked soon afterward and a grin starting to appear.

"Well I can move things without it. I am sure that later on I don't need them either. And I am also a seer (I hope wrote it right) that makes me see the future in dreams." He said a bit softer yet relieve to know that the two weren't rejecting him.

"That's badass." Delbert said and he snapped his head now towards the mentioned male with a surprised look.

"It is awesome, but I am guessing that not all share our opinion on this." Carnell said and he couldn't feel but look down and feel a wave of insane joyfulness in him. That much that he starts bursting into tears.

The two pulled him into a hug soon and it meant a lot to him because not all did think like this. So, he couldn't help but feel happy. It took a lot for him to calm down. But when he did, he gave the two a bright smile.

"Thank you." He said with a thankful tone. The two waved it away and soon Merlin entered and giving him a bear hug, which he returned. But he also gave scolded him for going that risk and the male looked at him with a pout and he gave him narrowed eyes. All was well and he couldn't be happier to finally be better.
