CHAPTER 16
The next day, all of them teleported back to their place. Since Raon already knew the coordinates, he could easily transport them back through his teleportation magic. As soon as they got home, Raon asked permission to travel as he finally found a clue as to where his brother was. Cale agreed and gave him some things he could bring for his journey. Hans, the servants and the knights were also called to the Henituse Estate for their monthly meetings. Cale knew why it was being held and the servants reassured the redhead that they were fine. The servants always ensured that Cale and his children had something for them for a week they were away. Hans, Melissa and Marley were worried about leaving them every month for a week but they couldn't disobey the Lord's summons. They could lie for the sake of their beloved Young Master but a summon with the Lord's signature is different.
Back at the Henituse Estate, Deruth once again called for the servants and knights tending to Cale in the villa. Every month, Deruth calls them for a meeting. He wanted to know what's going on with his son. It's been four years since Cale left, and not even once he ever tried going home or showing himself. He was worried, the budget consistently increases every year yet he doesn't know where the money is going. Not that it's an issue, he just wanted to be with his son again.
Three days after Hans and the others went back to the Henituse estate, a storm rained down on the town. Soleil and his brothers got sick. This was the first time that the three of them got sick at the same time. Ohn and Hong helped Cale in tending them.
Cale placed a cold towel on their foreheads in hopes that it would lessen the pain and heat the children were feeling. Ciel didn't like pain that much so he teared up in every discomfort he was feeling. Cale couldn't help but hold their hands when they were in pain.
"What should I do? The servants and Melissa are not here, Hans is also not here. There's no physician currently in the villa and the bridge connecting this mountain and the town is currently not stable because of the strong winds outside," Cale muttered.
He was certainly panicking. He didn't know what to do. He just hoped that his children's fever would subside at night. However, it didn't happen. It was the middle of the night and their fever got worse as night came and Cale didn't know what to do anymore. All he could do is bring them to a physician, but this was a small town so physicians were in the cities. And the only physician he could trust is currently in the Henituse Estate.
"Ohn, Hong, can you look after them for a while. I'll look for help," Cale was on the verge of crying.
He never wanted his children to suffer, Ohn and Hong understood it and nodded.
Cale ran out and as soon as he opened the main door, he bumped into someone. This person caught him before he fell off. When he raised his head, Solaris' face greeted him.
"Are you okay, Cale?" Solaris asked.
"S-Solaris!" Cale called as he hugged him. He didn't know but he felt relieved seeing him.
"Please help me, my children are sick and there is no one in this house," Cale said as he gripped on Solaris' clothes. "The storm is too strong for me to use a horse since I am not a good rider."
Cale's breath started to hitch, he was panicking enough that it caused him to hyperventilate. Solaris' immediately covered Cale's mouth and told him to breathe through his nose.
"I understand the situation, don't worry. I'll bring you to a physician. But for now, please calm down, everything will be alright," Solaris soothes Cale.
Cale slowly calmed down and his body limped and leaned on Solaris'.
"Thank you," Cale said.
His body is already weak, if I didn't come here ... I can't imagine what would happen to them, Solaris' thought.
Cale and Solaris immediately went to the children's room. Cale instructed Ohn and Hong to transform into their cat forms as they needed to come to them. They can't leave the children alone in a big house. Cale made the three children wear a coat to keep them warm.
Solaris carried Soleil and Etoile, while Cale carried Ciel. Ohn and Hong mounted on Cale. Then all of them went off.
"We can't use a horse right now since the bridge is very unstable, so we will teleport to the place where I left my horse," Solaris said.
"Okay," Cale responded.
Seeing his worried face, Solaris couldn't help but lean his head onto Cale's to reassure him.
"They will be alright, don't worry," Solaris said. Cale smiled and nodded.
Solaris and the others teleported to where his horse was. It was a little far from Henituse Territory so they still had to travel a little. Solaris mounted the horse and he helped Cale too.
"Hold on to me," Solaris said.
Cale held on to him and he made sure his children were safe as well. Even though it was raining heavily and the raindrops hurt his face, Cale didn't mind. As long as he could treat his children, few pains were fine.
When they got to the gates of the Henituse Territory, the knights stopped them.
"Show your identification first before going inside," the knight said.
Cale removed his hood and the knights were shocked so they immediately let them enter. The knights were stunned still seeing the Young Master who didn't show himself for four years, and if their eyes were not tricking them, he was riding a horse with the hero Choi Han who's supposed to be in a bad relationship with their Young Master.
The Henituse Estate was notified of the arrival of Cale Henituse. Hans immediately went to him, along with Melissa and Marley. Cale frantically told them the condition of the children. Hans ran to call the physician, Melissa and Marley went to an empty room and the other servants went to get clean and dry clothes for the children and Cale.
Cale stood there while his body was trembling from the cold, a servant of the estate was still scared of him to hand off a dry towel. Solaris, whose disguise stopped working since before, took the towel and put it on Cale's head.
"You should take a bath first, it'll make your children upset if you get sick too," Choi Han said.
Cale, whose adrenaline was still rushing, failed to see who Solaris was. He nodded and Melissa took Cale to take his bath. Hans assisted Cale, and Marley assisted Choi Han. The whole servants of the villa were glaring daggers at Choi Han, as he, in turn, was shocked because the disguise came off. He knew he couldn't hide who he is, but he isn't prepared right now either!
Cale came out as soon as he bathed and dried, Choi Han, who's currently in Solaris' appearance, came out as well. The two of them were currently waiting outside the room where the children were being treated.
Seeing how Choi Han changed his appearance, the servants felt bad for their Young Master who was being tricked right now. But they don't have any right to tell Cale.
"Your children will be alright," Solaris said. Cale nodded and smiled.
The guilt felt even more real seeing Cale smiled because he didn't know that Solaris and Choi Han are the same people. The servants didn't want that smile to fade.
Then the physician came out.
"How are my children?" Cale asked.
"They are fine now, Young Master," the physician smiled. "It seems the children were cared for, they are very healthy, Young Master. You don't have to worry."
"Thank you," Cale breathed a sigh of relief.
"Young Master, I'll take note of the physician's instructions. You should rest now," Hans said. "Solaris-nim, I'll ask someone to lead you to your room."
"No, he'll stay with me. I don't want to be alone right now," Cale said as he held Solaris' hand, which made the latter blush.
Hans' eyes twitched as he knew who Solaris really was. He swallowed his reaction and nodded. Cale and Solaris entered the room next to the children, Ohn and Hong were also staying in another room.
"I'm sorry, Solaris," Cale said as he buried his face on his knees.
"It's alright, Cale," Solaris said as he sat beside him. "I won't leave you alone."
Not now, not ever, he wanted to say but he refrained himself.
A moment later, Cale finally slept. Solaris carried him to the bed. He was about to go but Cale held on to his hand. He sat beside him and later on, he fell asleep as well.
The two slept peacefully that night, not knowing Solaris' necklace finally lost its effectiveness.
