"So, Doc... you're saying I risked my life for Ponyville?" Rainbow was shocked at what she was hearing; she was partly stunned at her act of bravery and sacrifice.

"Yes that's right, you risked your own life for the citizens of Ponyville and if it was not for that brave earth pony... you would be dead by now" The Doctor looked over at Rainbow, who had a happy look on her face. "Now if you will let me continue..."

Everypony that was in Sugar Cube Corner rushed out after Rainbow took off, they all stared at the hurricane that was getting covered by a Rainbow streak.

Rainbow was trying to redirect the hurricane in the direction it came in, she was struggling to get to turn its course. The hurricanes strong wind was not giving up, it was painful on Rainbow's wings, and they were hurting more than ever.

The hurricane was beginning to head in a different direction; it was shifting to the right, slowly making its way towards the direction of Canterlot. Rainbow would not let this hurricane head for any major part of Equestria; she kept trying to get the hurricane to turn on the Dragon, which was only minutes from reaching Ponyville's boundaries.

"There... is... a.... Dragon!" Spike rushed up to Twilight in fear, breathless, he leaned on Twilight's hoof.

"Spike, we know, Rainbow is trying to get that hurricane to change direction... hopefully taking the Dragon with it" Spike suddenly stood in shock looking at the hurricane, then to Twilight.

"You can't be serious Twilight! Rainbow could die!" Twilight closed her eyes and then looked over at Spike.

"Rainbow knows, if she doesn't do it, all of Ponyville would get crushed!" Twilight opened her eyes, only to have a small tear drip down onto the ground.

The hurricane sure enough, changed direction. It was heading somewhere that nopony was, back the way it came. Rainbow left the hurricane's grasp and floated midair. "Yes! I did it! Ponyville is saved!" Just then a hand grabbed onto Rainbow and pulled her towards who ever was holding her. Rainbow was staring into the Dragon's eyes, a chill of fear jumped down her neck.

The Dragon said nothing and smiled at Rainbow, who was still trembling in fear. The dragon lifted up his hand and quickly slung its arm towards the roof of Sugar Cube Corner. The dragon let go, making Rainbow fly uncontrollably, towards Sugar Cube Corner.

Rainbow let off a scream as she hit the roof of the building. She tried to fly to soften her fall, only to notice that her wing was broken. Instead she fell towards the ground. As she hit the ground she was knocked unconscious and was bleeding badly. Everypony gasped as Rainbow lay on the ground, unconscious. They all galloped away as the Dragon stepped closer towards the town.

Everypony galloped away, except one. Applejack tightly grasped onto Rainbow's torn mane and hauled Rainbow harder than she had pulled anything in her life. She was fiercely pulling Rainbow. Her hat came off. She ignored it and continued to pull Rainbow's unconscious body away from Ponyville's bounds.

The dragon stepped over most of Ponyville and kicked Sugar Cube Corner, tearing it almost in half. Applejack watched as her friend was slowly dyeing, she looked over at Sugar Cube Corner, which was almost entirely destroyed by the mess that the dragon made. Suddenly there was an outburst explosion from Sugar Cube Corner causing some of the building to go flying all across Ponyville, one part of the building lunged for Applejack. Suddenly, she was stuck under some of the framing of the building... she was badly hurt, but she never gave up...

"You're very lucky to be alive Rainbow Dash... and so is your friend, she was badly hurt and she needed help. But she just walked away, leaving you here" It took a moment to sink into Rainbow's mind... Applejack risked her own life, to save another. Rainbow hoped she was okay. She got out of bed and walked up to the doctor.

"When do I get to leave Doc? I want to check on Applejack to see if she's okay" The doctor looked over to Rainbow with a smile on his face, he put a hoof on her shoulder.

"Rainbow, she is fine... she checked in today, still badly bruised... but she is okay, or just very, very lucky. You should be proud to have a friend who dragged you half a mile and risked her own life in the process" The doctor lifted his hoof off Rainbow's shoulder. Rainbow smiled at the doctor.

Applejack gasped for air as she was slowly getting crushed by the building frame that was on top of her, she looked over at Rainbow's body. She lifted a hoof, trying to grab her. She then pushed herself out of the framing. She grabbed Rainbow, the more she pulled, the more painful it got, but she was not going to let her friend die.

Applejack got out from the wreckage and continued to pull Rainbow towards the hospital, she looked back at Ponyville which was now partly on fire and half destroyed. Applejack got to the hospital doors. She slammed her hoof on the doors to attract attention.

"Help! Please... Help!" Applejack dropped Rainbow and slowly walked away. The banging attracted the doctor's attention, who called for other paramedics to grab onto the Rainbow pony on the ground.

"Wait! You need help!" The doctor shouted at Applejack who started limping back to Ponyville. The doctors took in the cyan Pegasus and started to perform procedures on her, slowly mending the wing and cuts.

"And that's what happened, your friend said she would visit back when you awoke, she shouldn't be long" The doctor slowly walked out the door and Rainbow climbed back into the hospital bed, waiting for Applejack to arrive.

Rainbow fell asleep on her bed shortly after the doctor left. She slightly opened her eyes to see a nurse at the side of her bed. "Miss Rainbow Dash, you have a visitor... do you want to see her?" Rainbow awoke and nodded slightly to the nurse, who started walking towards the door. She made a gesture that motioned for somepony to come in and stepped aside to let the pony walk in.

Rainbow looked over at the door to see Applejack walk in. She never had her hat on. "Rainbow? You alright?" Applejack's voice was smooth and calming, Rainbow studied her body, it was heavily bruised and cut, along with a messed up mane. Rainbow leaped off her bed and hugged Applejack tightly, it caught Applejack by surprise.

Rainbow was slightly crying on the Earth pony's shoulder "Applejack, you saved my life, thank you..." Applejack returned the hug and smiled softly.

"Aw shucks, it was nothing Rainbow. You're my friend, I would never let you die if my life depended on it" Applejack was crying on Rainbow, only happy her friend was okay and happy. She pulled out from the hug and smiled at Rainbow, who was still slightly sobbing.

In walked four other mares, they came in shortly after Applejack came in. "Twilight, Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rarity, what are you all doing here?" Rainbow asked in confusion, Pinkie was bouncing around as usual, Fluttershy was slowly walking in behind Twilight, Spike came in after all the other ponies gathered around Rainbow.

Twilight was smiling and looking over at Applejack. "She told us everything Rainbow, Applejack saved your life, we came here to bring emotional support" Rainbow hugged Twilight as she walked up to her. Fluttershy and Rarity were talking to Applejack, who was looking out the window to Ponyville.

"If it wasn't for Applejack, you wouldn't be here. What she did was the bravest thing I've ever seen... and I'm sorry for running away when you needed help Rainbow" Everypony nodded as Rainbow walked over to Applejack, who was slowly walking out the room.

"Applejack, wait!" Applejack turned around and looked at Rainbow with a smile on her face.

"Thank you... you saved me, how can I repay you?" Applejack turned round again and was about to walk out as she turned her head over to Rainbow Dash.

"You already have Rainbow" Applejack walked out the room. Everypony had their eyes on Rainbow, who was walking back to her bed as the doctor walked in.

"Miss Rainbow Dash? You will be alright to leave in a couple hours, your wing wont be functional until its fully repaired, so we're putting your wing in a brace and letting you leave" Pinkie walked out with the doctor, still bouncing.

Rainbow looked over to Twilight who was smiling and making a motion to follow her, "Come on, let's go" Rainbow followed slowly behind as her wing twitched and slightly hurt. Twilight saw Rainbow's pain and put a hoof round her neck and tucked her wing in and held it down.

They got to the counter of the hospital as the doctor came out from behind the desk, "Miss Rainbow, you're wanting the brace I'm assuming?" Rainbow nodded as the doctor went out one door and came out another with some sort of laced chest case.

"Hold still Rainbow, we can't do this with you moving around... oh and this might hurt a little" The doctor fixed the strap around Rainbows chest. Twilight took her arm off Rainbow. There was a small crack as Rainbow's wing was shoved into place to repair. The doctor then covered the straps, slowly, trying not to hurt Rainbow.

The doctor stepped back as Rainbow was fitting into her new wing brace. "There you go Miss Rainbow Dash, you wont be able to go into your house for about two to three days" Rainbow opened her mouth as if to ask him why, but then realised what he meant.

"Looks like I'm going to have to stay with one of you guys for a while" Applejack got a realisation that she could make her move on Rainbow this way. She thought about it for a while.

"I wouldn't mind you staying with me Rainbow, I have an extra bedroom down bellow the library" Applejack looked over at Twilight in disappointment, as if to say to her... -This was my chance to get closer to her!- But Applejack kept her disappointment small and acted as if she was happy.

Everypony left the hospital, slowly following Rainbow who was following Twilight back to her library. Applejack never moved and just stared as her four other friends walked away, the fifth... she wanted to be her lover...
