The party was only one hour away when Rainbow decided that she should get moving over to Twilight. She flew across the sky, skimming town hall and lowering down to have a talk with one of her friends, who was leaving the Ponyville Post Office.

"Hey Ditsy? How you been doing?" The lazy eyed Pegasus looked over to where the voice came from, only to notice that it was her Winter Wrap Up captain.

"Hi Rainbow Dash!" The voice was slightly muttered... but Rainbow understood her disability and acted as if she never had it.

"So Ditsy, you going to be at Twilights party?" Rainbow seemed happy to talk to someone who she understood so well, unlike Applejack who was acting strange this morning. But Rainbow never thought of it and decided to let it slip by, after all... Applejack was her friend, she could have been tired.

Ditsy pulled out a letter from her saddlebags and handed it over to Rainbow "I'll try, I need to finish these... uh... Deliveries!" Reading the letter her head, Rainbow never usually got mail or any form of communication from outside Ponyville.

"What's this Ditsy?" Rainbow asked, concerned if she got the mail mixed up again.

"It's your mail!" Ditsy always had a happy attitude. Rainbow liked Ditsy for always being positive despite some lonely years and some mockery because of her out swayed eyes.

"I never get mail... who is it from?"

"Its from... uh... I think it was... Celest... Celestia!" Ditsy had the memory of a goldfish, it caused her to forget a lot of things.

Rainbow grew a huge smile on her face as Ditsy told her who it was from "Princess Celestia? It's from the Princess!?" Rainbow opened the letter as fast as she could, almost tearing the thing apart. She read the letter out loud, for everypony to hear, as if she was bragging.

"Dear Rainbow Dash.

You have been invited to the annual Wonderbolts meet up at the castle in Canterlot. This invitation was sent from Celestia herself. We hope to see you there. The event will start in seven days.

"Oh... my... god..." Rainbow shouted really loud, almost everypony within a mile radius heard her. Or at least that's what it felt like to Rainbow.

"Congratulations Rainbow Dash!" Ditsy said, after she got over the shock of Rainbow's sudden shout. Ditsy smacked her hooves together, creating a clop sound. She knew how much Rainbow Dash wanted an opportunity like this.

"Ditsy! I can't thank you enough!" Rainbow and Ditsy hugged each other while everypony wondered what all the noise was about.

"Ditsy, I better get heading over to Twilight's... I know how much she wants me to be there before the party" Ditsy let go of Rainbow Dash and nodded politely, making her eyes spin in her head a little.

Pinkie was bouncing around in Carousel Boutique as a white coated Unicorn walked through the door with a bunch of gems in her Saddlebags.

"Oh, Pinkie dear, what are you doing here at my store?" Rarity walked slowly over to Pinkie.

"Ohh Rarity! You're back, you see I was bored, so I decided I should come over to see you, but you were not in. So I thought to myself what a surprise it would be for me to be in your shop for when you come back!" she said, still bouncing around Carousel Boutique.

"Well... thank you I guess, but is there anything I can do for you Pinkie... after all your stunning party is going to be ready in less than an hour" Rarity heard Pinkie do a loud gasp and sprung in front of her, slightly startling her.

"A dress, you could make me a pink dress with glitter, streamers, candy... and Cake!!" Pinkie was bouncing all over the shop as Rarity gave out a sigh.

"Pinkie, I already made you a dress like that... remember? You used it at the Gala!" Rarity looking slightly disappointed at Pinkie who seemed to have forgotten they even went to the Gala.

Floating in mid air, Pinkie put her hoof on her chin in concentration. "Ohhh... that dress, I don't know where it is Rarity!" Rarity pointed over to the small clothes rack.

"It's right where you left it Pinkie, now please do be careful... I don't want to have to clean up my shop again after what you did last... time..." Rarity hesitated as she heard a loud bang behind her, and stuff falling. Looking round at Pinkie, who was covered in streamers and glitter, Rarity had an angry face on her.

"Oops, my bad!" Pinkie giggled as she launched herself over to the clothes rack.

"Pinkie! Now I have to clean this up... why are you so... messy?" Rarity got startled again as Pinkie appeared in front of her with icing on her face.

"What was that Rarity?" Pinkie was still chewing on food as Rarity backed away in disgust.

"Pinkie! Eww, clean up first, I don't want you getting icing in my mane!" Rarity went over to the mirror to see if Pinkie's sudden appearances caused her hair to have anything in it.

"Okie Dokie Lokie!" And Pinkie vanished, allowing Rarity to breath for a moment.

Fluttershy walked into Sugar Cube Corner, only to see that it was covered in streamers and party decorations. She then remembered that the party was today.

"Hey Fluttershy!" Came a voice from behind the counter, Fluttershy looked over to see that Twilight was standing there.

"Oh Twilight, I forgot that the party was today, I'm sorry..." Twilight went over to Fluttershy and placed a hoof on her shoulder, with a small smile on her face.

"Oh don't worry, it's fine... you will still stay for the party though? Wont you?" Twilight let go of Fluttershy who gave a satisfied nod of agreement.

"Although Twilight I might have to leave early, my pets will need feeding"

"Of course Fluttershy, we won't mind" Twilight gave Fluttershy a happy smile.

Just then, Rarity walked through the door... strangely, not wearing anything fancy, in fact... she wasn't wearing anything. "Uh, hi Rarity... why are you not wearing anything fancy like you normally do?"

"Come on darling, you can't be serious. This is a party for Pinkie Pie, it's going to be... messy" Rarity raised an eye up at Twilight who rolled her eyes in realisation.

Rarity walked over to Fluttershy, who was waiting in the corner. "Fluttershy, darling, how are you this fine evening?" Rarity seemed concerned about Fluttershy, who was not as active around Ponyville as she normally was.

"Oh I'm fine Rarity, how have you been?" Fluttershy walked from the corner she was standing in, towards Rarity.

Rarity put a hoof on Fluttershy's shoulder, Twilight walked behind the counter of Sugar Cube Corner, only to notice a long Rainbow streak heading for the door.

Rainbow Dash flew through the door, almost hitting the wall. The Rainbow streak faded away as she slid across the ground because of all the speed she picked up. "Am I late?" Rainbow seemed concerned; she never wanted to be late when a party was held for Pinkie Pie. She knew how Pinkie could get.

"No Rainbow, in fact... you're early, why don't you go talk to Rarity and Fluttershy, I'm still trying to make sure this party doesn't turn the wrong way" Twilight pulled out a clip board and started writing on it, she was concentrating hard.

Rainbow walked over to Rarity and Fluttershy who were talking... well, Rarity was talking. Rainbow interrupted Rarity, who was talking about how her sales were going up. "Fluttershy, where have you been lately?"

Fluttershy looked over at Rainbow who had a concerned look on her face, "Sorry Rainbow, I've just been tending to my animals a lot more, they required my attention" Fluttershy dimmed her head as Rainbow walked over.

"It's alright Fluttershy, we know how busy you can be... Rarity, what have you been doing lately?" Rarity still looked annoyed at the fact that Rainbow interrupted her while talking to Fluttershy.

"Oh I'm fine Rainbow; I was just telling Fluttershy how good my sales are going. I guess you're doing the usual napping and flying?" Rainbow put a smile on her face and nodded, Rainbow never took it as an insult because that was generally what she got up to.

Applejack walked through the door with Pinkie Pie blind folded, slowly edging her closer to the table with a cake on it. "Alright Pinkie, be careful... this time let me take off the blindfold before you dig in"

"Oh I'm so excited, what did you guys do, oh i hope there is cake, streamers!" Pinkie took a big gasp "Balloons!!" Twilight smiled as the usual thoughts of Pinkie were true.

"Alright Pinkie, here we are... now let me take the blindfold off" Applejack took the blindfold off and Pinkie saw all her friends standing there in a line.

"Happy Birthday!" they all shouted it louder than anticipated, but Pinkie was busy bouncing around the room in joy that they all threw a party, just for her. It had everything she wanted.

"Oh my god you guys are the best!" Just then, Pinkie dived into the cake on the table. She came out the cake, covered in icing, she swirled her tongue around her body, licking up all the icing that covered her whole body.
