Most people are afraid of coming out about their sexuality. When people turn it into a joke, or talk badly about what someone is, it keeps people from wanting to share who they really are behind the mask they paint. Take the short animated film, In a Heartbeat. The protagonist, or one of them, Shawrin, is gay and really attracted to one boy, our second protagonist, Johnathan. But, due to the negative way people seemed to see him in this film, he had to keep it hidden. My dream is to not let what others say get in the way of someone saying that they're not straight, but something more. 

I'm an alliance member. This means I support gays, asexuals, all the sexualitys. I actually have a ton of friends who fall under this category. When I saw In a Heartbeat in middle school, I knew I already had people fitting under those categories demonstrated in the short. Now, I want everyone to see, being gay or whatever you are. . . It's okay. As the lyric from 'Everyone is Gay' by A Great Big World goes: 'You are unlike the others, so strong and unique, we're all with you'. I don't care what you are, just be yourself. No one's stopping you.
