The Crash Pt. 2
Keith
Keith feel warm which is not what he felt earlier. Though he is not complaining, at least he's not roasting. He feel as if he's standing up. he feel secure but he feel unsafe, as if something is going on around him that is putting him in danger. his ears are ringing.
Keith slowly opens his eyes, a blurry haze covering them. He moves his arms, getting that satisfying chain reaction of cracks and rubs his eyes. After everything has cleared and he can see, he looks around. Everything is tinted a light blue but he can distinguish a double bed, a wardrobe, desk, gaming setup and a first aid kit.
After Keith finally looks down, he realises he's in a Healing Pod. He knocks on the glass and it retracts, letting him gain a better view of his surroundings. The bed has white sheets, the wardrobe is wood and the desk is as well. The room is quite medium in size. He's wearing a white suit with black stripes right above the hips and two black v shapes underneath his elbows.
He steps out onto the rug and walks out. He opens the door of the persons room and down the hallway. As he proceeds with doing all these things, the ringing slowly fades. After a long journey, searching to find any form of existence, he finally stumbles into a kitchen. the table tops are marble and the cupboards are wood. Like any average kitchen. He looks up at the sudden pound of noise. Two figures, one of which is familiar are fighting.
"Keith needs to stay here, ma. Did you see the shape he was in when I brought him here?" Lance says angrily.
"You disobeyed my orders to not bring home anybody. What if he isn't actually Keith, then what will happen?"
"I know Keith. I can tell the difference between an imposter and him. I fought along side him. I've known him for years."
"But you haven't seen him in ten years."
"Classic Lance," Keith scoffs.
"Keith. Good to see you are awake. How do you feel?" Lance asks.
Keith stares at him and then down at the bandages wrapped around his hands then back up into his eyes, noticing the muscles he's gained since they last met. "Good, I guess."
"Of course you are. I am the one who saved you after all," he replies and points a finger towards himself in a proud manner.
"Whatever, Lance. You haven't matured at all, have you?"
"Don't be like that. I'm your saviour. Your prince to your long hair. The shoe to your Cinderella."
Keith stares at the other, face un-wavering. "Yep. Hasn't changed a bit."
"Who are you," Lance's mother orders hostiley from beside Lance.
"I'm Keith Kogane. It's nice to meet you Miss Mcclain. I was the former paladin of the black lion and am a member of the Blade of Marmora. It's nice to meet you." Keith extends his hand to the women with the greying hair though she doesn't do the same.
"I do not trust you though I suppose you can stay but only if Lance-y will keep you in check."
"Thank you," Keith says and turns to Lance.
"We'll be going to my room now," Lance says and begins walking away. Keith follows.
The two stand directly in front of each other, one with a scowl on his face and the other with a smile.
"What happened to your hand?" Keith says and nods towards Lance's hands.
"It's all in a days work." He smiles cheekily. Keith turns away.
"Can I have a change of clothes?"
"Yeah, sure." Lance shuffles clothes around in his wardrobe until he finds the right outfit. Black pants, a white shirt and a red jacket (similar to his usual outfit). He throws it to Keith. "The bathroom is two doors on the right."
"Why do I have to leave? Can't you just leave the room?"
"It's my room and I don't want your filthy self changing in here."
Keith glares at Lance before leaving the room and changing in the bathroom. Once he returns, he notices Lance sitting on the bed, staring at a photo.
Keith throws the white suit at Lance and says, "what's Mr Loverboy staring at? One of his new girlfriends?"
"Ew! Don't throw that at me," Lance whines.
"Why you so-"
"-obsessed with me, boy I wanna know~" Lance sings.
Keith narrows his eyes at Lance who puts the picture away. "Care to tell me the reason as to why you ended up crashing near my house? Was it to be near me because I wouldn't blame you if that was the case."
The memories come back to him and Keith clenches his fits tightly. He gets lost in the sinister thoughts. The thoughts dwelling on him. "You good, Keith?" Lance asks. He looks up to see familiar blue Altean markings so close up. He unclenches his fists and steps backwards.
He takes a deep breath before saying, "yeah, I'm good."
Lance looks at Keith harshly, getting in his face, making him uncomfortable. Lance leans back and Keith sighs. "Sure, alright. If you say so."
Keith walks past Lance and sits down on the bed, looking down at the wooden floor. The bed sinks beside him. "You must be thinking about how awesome I am, aren't you?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Really?" Lance's eyes light up.
"No, you idiot," Keith shouts and bonks him over the head.
"Ow, that hurt," Lance whines and rubs the top of his head.
Keith stands up. "I should contact the Blade of Marmora and see if one of them can come down here and collect me. I can't spend too much time away from my duties."
"Sure, go ahead. Your communication device is on the desk."
Keith grabs the device (blade beside the communication device) and sends out a message to all the members. "This is Keith Kogane. I am currently on Earth after my ship crash landed. Assistant required as soon as possible."
He stares at the device, hoping for a response to come through. "Whatcha waiting for?" Lance asks from behind, his breath near Keith's face. He side steps away from the farmer and looks down in hopes that his crush doesn't see how red his face is.
"I'm waiting for a response."
"You can't expect them to reply straight away. You need to give them some time. They're out there saving the world and stuff."
"That's if they aren't dead already," Keith mumbles.
