Tommy walked out of the building with the cool air gently brushing his face. He put his hands in his pockets as he strolled down the empty sidewalk, enjoying the peacefulness of the night surrounding him. Looking at all the buildings where people should've been but weren't, Tommy wondered where they had all gone.

He kept thinking of different places they may have gone, reasons, explanations, or anything that might make sense for them to have left. Arriving at the evacuation center, light from the inside beamed down at the ground in front of it like it usually did.

Something's still off...

Tommy heard the sound of footsteps, turning to face whoever the sound was coming from. The boy, who was older than Tommy, held a tennis racket in his had like a bat, ready to swing at him if he had to.

"Who are you?" The boy asked in a stern voice.

"T-Tommy," the boy said, startled, holding his arms up in surrender. His last encounter with another human was traumatic enough.

"Give me one good reason why I should trust you." The boy tightened his grip around the tennis racket.

Dream woke up, his throat parched. He looked down to see if Tommy was asleep yet. He wasn't there. He was more awake now as he ran to one of the bedrooms, banging on the door.

"What is it?" Wilbur said, rubbing his eyes. Techno came out of the room across from Wil's.

"Tommy's missing!" Dream said, worried, "We need to go look for him!" He snatched his mask from the kitchen counter and strapped it on his face, waiting for the other boys to hurry along. Wilbur still looked half-asleep, Techno just looked chill.

"That's kinda Tommy's thing, he's probably just gawking at the stars," Techno said, not the slightest bit perturbed at the boy's disappearance. He yawned, grabbing a coat he had hung up by the door, "Let's head out. You'll see him right there." They walked down the stairs, just taking it slowly until they reached the looby, "He usually just sits right outside the doors." Techno didn't see him through the glass doors from inside. He pushed the doors open, letting the air from the cold night rush in. He looked to his left and then to his right.

"I don't see him here," Dream said, scornfully.

"Yeah, no, I can see that, you clown!" Techno said, glaring at the boy. The two stared at each other crossly until Wil stepped in.

"Guys, let's focus on finding Tommy, okay?" Wilbur said. He said it strictly, his solidity scaring the other two. They exchanged glances and followed him down the sidewalk. They checked various buildings, but none were occupied by Tommy. They had checked nearly everywhere.

"We could check the evac center," Dream suggested. Techno and Wilbur agreed, heading down to the center.

Their feet ran down the sidewalk quickly. Anxieties flooded their minds making their legs run even faster. Techno took the lead with Dream close behind him. Wilbur tried to catch up with them but struggled, he wasn't as fast as them. They reached the evacuation center and halted.

Tommy was talking to an older boy, probably about two years older than him. A battered tennis racket was hanging lazily in the older boy's hand as he laughed at something Tommy was saying. He caught sight of the others and his expression changed.

"Get behind me, Tommy," they heard him say. Tommy peeked out from behind him. His eyes lit up as he saw them.

'It's okay, I know them!" Tommy exclaimed. He waved as the others rushed over to him.

"You gotta stop doing this," Techno said, ruffling the kid's hair. The youngest just looked at him, playfully defiant.

Tubbo awoke from the bedroom he was staying in, feeling something was wrong. He pulled the covers off himself and pushed them to the side. Opening his door, he went to go check on the others. Wilbur's door was left open so Tubbo peeked in. He saw no one. There's no reason to worry, the others are probably still here. He checked Techno's room, finding it empty. He slid out into the main room and looked at the couch for Dream. The couch was empty. Tommy's spot was also vacant.

Oh no.

Tubbo sat on one of the chairs. Not again, he thought.

It had been a lovely morning. He had just woken up to his mother telling him to come downstairs for breakfast. He had eaten toast, a fried egg, and sausage, along with a glass of orange juice. It was the perfect day with the sun shining brightly through the window and the birds chirping a happy tune. Tubbo walked back up the stairs and opened up a book to read, silence suddenly setting in.

A thought had been slipped into his mind, and it annoyed him: We should leave. We need to leave. Leave. LEAVE. His parents came into his room and stared at him.

"Let's get going," his father had said. He left the room, expecting Tubbo to follow. The boy fumbled the book in his hands, not knowing where to put it. His father's sharp words sliced through the air making Tubbo drop the book and scramble off his bed to follow him.

He looked over at his siblings who just stared off into space, not noticing anything around them. He looked at his family, confused, but followed their lead as they left the house, not even bothering to shut the door.

They reached the park in the middle of town. They didn't pause to enjoy the scenery and just followed the stream of people that headed to the evacuation center. Tubbo sat on a bench in the park and his family turned to look at him.

"Get up," they said. Tubbo shook his head, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Please, please stay," he begged them as they stared at him blankly. They turned away from him. Tubbo tried to yell to them, to ask what was wrong with them, but they hadn't even heard.

So the chapters might be a little shorter, I need to focus more on school now. I'm not used to getting a lot of sleep, usually I get around 4-5 hours. Last night, I went to sleep early (for me) at 11 PM and woke up 4 AM since I've just gotten used to 4-5 hours. I think I need to fix this too :3 I hope you all understand.
