The recording finished up at a little past 6 AM, and Tommy felt dead. After saying their goodbyes, Tommy trudged into the kitchen, looking for anything that might wake him up. He had to head to school very soon, and he wasn't sure he would make it through the day. An echoing ping from his phone presented a text from Wilbur, saying he had a surprise for him later on, but he brushed it off, not replying. He had to focus on getting ready to leave.

A feeling of regret burned Tommy's heart as he thought about his conversation with Wilbur. He didn't mean to be rude, but he was stressed out ever since he joined The Dream Team. Dream was already making plans for Tommy and George to move in with him and Sapnap in the US. George was excited, not caring about leaving his home behind. Tommy was a little more reluctant. He had plans with Tubbo. It felt like his priorities were getting more and more irrelevant every day. It made Tommy feel scared.

You would know...

Tommy's head shot up as he was reminded of his own harshness to one of his best friends. He had almost dozed off, his head leaning against the fridge. Leaning against the fridge was calming for some reason, seeing the reflection of his hand on the stainless steel. Maybe it was because he was too tired to move. He knew that he wasn't being healthy, and it was even riskier with his low pressure not to sleep (or eat almost nothing). Tommy wished he wasn't offered a place in The Dream Team. It was very generous of Dream to invite him, and Tommy was grateful. He remembered the shock of the invitation.

"Tommy..." Sapnap said mischievously. It had made him uneasy, and Tommy pushed back his blonde hair away from his face, leaning back against his chair and glancing nervously around his room.

"How'd you like to join The Dream Team?" George asked smoothly and excitedly. The blonde had felt an unexplainable dread rush through his body. He was sure it was a joke; it would have been cruel to announce that in front of Technoblade.

"...What..." Tommy was flustered.

Techno stayed silent, and it was terrifying to Tommy. Was he angry? Was he disappointed? Did he care? Tommy was inclined to reject it. He was already part of a group- part of a family. It was true that Sleepy Boy's Inc. was fine before him, but he liked how safe and loved he felt with them.

Dream must have been eager because he told his reasoning. "We're top of YouTube, you're top of Twitch. We'd make a pretty great team."

Tommy's heart dropped. So that was the reason. Not because of him, but because of his popularity. He was still speechless.

"Tommy, you gotta accept!" Techno encouraged him.

Tommy believed that Techno was a wise person, and he knew he wanted the best for him (he had told Tommy that multiple times).

"O-okay."

Dream, George, and Sapnap shouted happily before saying their goodbyes and leaving.

Tommy had wanted so badly to DM Wilbur, but he was scared for some reason. He was afraid Wil would be angry at him, even though he knew the real Wilbur would be understanding.

I just wish I didn't accept it.

Tommy slumped down to the floor, fading in and out of consciousness from lack of oxygen. His heart fluttered as he realized how bad that was. Wilbur had warned him to take care of himself. Lack of care for himself and his low blood pressure had finally caused him to be hurt. An unusual thought blinked into his mind. Do I deserve this? Tommy immediately shooed that out of his head, not knowing where it came from.

He heard a distant gasp from his mother, but he couldn't move, and his head was spinning.

After the call ended with Tommy, Wilbur looked down at his phone, tears dripping onto the screen and magnifying the pixels. No, Wil thought, determined not to let his Tommy slip away from him. He texted Tommy's father (Not the one from 'Angst, As They Call It' xD), asking if he could surprise Tommy. Wilbur looked at the clock, cringing as he recalled the time. To his delight, an answer came back very soon.

Child's Father: Hey wilbur. would love 2 have you over any time.best time would be @4pm 2morrow if u can. tommy takes walks around the block then if u want to surprise him there. wed love to see u .especially tommy. says he misses talking w/ u

Wilbur smiled at the last bit.

Wilbur: Could you ask him to walk in Aslkdjghaslk Park (pretend that's a real park) tomorrow? Phil's going to be there too.

Child's Father: of course,

Wilbur began packing a bag. He didn't care how long it would take for him to get to Tommy; at this point, he would swim across an ocean to make sure he was okay. Wilbur's joy swirled around the room, creating a more positive atmosphere.

Techno scrolled through Twitter on his phone, not really paying attention to anything that was tweeted out. He was more just lost in his thoughts as he sat on the couch of a humble hotel, not in the US. He had met up with Phil the other day, and they were trying to make plans to take an uber to Tommy's town.

It had been a while since he had talked with Tommy. When his young friend was offered a spot in The Dream Team, Techno was nothing but proud. He was a little shocked at first because, yeah, people on Twitter had made him believe that he would be invited to The Dream Team. Jealousy was not what Techno was considering at all, but his stomach did turn when George asked. It was the same feeling when something special gets ripped away from you. It hurts your heart.

Now they barely even talked. Not just him and Tommy but the Sleepy Boys in general. Techno made an effort to contact Phil often, but Wilbur seemed to get left out a lot. It wasn't like Techno to be empathetic, but he kind of missed talking with Wilbur. When Phil suggested that they go to the park near Tommy's to meet with Wil and him, Techno agreed without hesitance. He'd be so happy to have his family together again.

I've had this idea of Tommy getting stolen away by the Dream Team for some time, but I wasn't able to find a way to write it until now. I hope you've all been staying safe and staying healthy.
