Among Us- Part 2
Dang it, Captain Sparklez thought. As if the situation wasn't bad enough, being stuck with people who he barely knew, now one of them was a murderer. He shuddered at that thought, not wanting to let it distract him from his tasks. He had rented this ship (It's a cheap thing now, renting a spaceship) by Tommy's request. They were supposed to have a great time, but obviously, they rented from the wrong person...
He glanced back to see Socks looking up from his wiring task in the cafeteria, his thoughts probably mirroring the Captain's. The kid- Tubbo was his name- looked around in confusion and terror as the lights dimmed, and the trio bunched closer together.
"Alright guys, stay close," he felt Tubbo's hand in his and he squeezed it, comforting the boy, "It's gonna be okay." They headed towards electrical, taking cautious steps. They reached electrical and Sparklez looked behind him, seeing only Tubbo's terrified face. He smiled weakly before he realized his other friend was nowhere to be seen. He was about to start back to where they came from, but decided to call his name out first, just in case he was mistaken.
"Socks?" Sparklez asked, distressed, pointing his flashlight into the darkness of the hall, the beam of dull light barely visible in front of him. There was no reply. Tubbo tugged on the Captain's sleeve fervently and pointed to a dark figure that appeared in electrical. The Captain quickly shielded Tubbo and glared at the figure, slowly backing up.

Dream felt his way around the halls between navigation and o2, shining his flashlight back to see Sapnap, Jschlatt, George, and Wilbur. They made it down to shields where Dream and the rest of the Dream Team looked over his shoulder, trying to tell him what to do.
"Just back up, okay?" He whispered loudly and impatiently. George giggled but fell back, looking down at his device to see a task that he passed. He walked back up to weapons where they were before to do the task.
Dream was still struggling with shields so the others tried to kid around, "George, come help him code this thing into submission," Sapnap joked. There wasn't an answer. Dream finally finished with shields and looked around, "George?" They could barely see each other, but he should have responded. Jschlatt looked back at Wilbur's silhouette, wondering what his friend was thinking.
"Head back," Dream ordered, leading the way. Their hurried footsteps echoed down the halls, the sound bouncing off the walls and ringing in their ears. After passing navigation, Dream squinted his eyes, seeing a face aglow in the dim light of an upload station in weapons.
"George?" He asks, shining the flashlight just below the person's eyes.
"Hey, Dream," George replied cheerily, "I'm just finishing this task up."
Dream heaved a sigh of relief, "Okay, we'll head into navigation and wait for you there," he painted on a serious face, "And next time, tell us where you're going, you gave me a heart attack!" George just grinned, glancing back to hear the sound of receding footsteps.
-
George stayed in weapons for a while, waiting for the thing to finish. There was a sound of a vent opening, then another set of footsteps, quieter, crept upon him. The light from the upload screen went out and he looked around, confused, "Dream?" He called out meekly. Suddenly, a pair of cold hands grasped on his throat, choking him. He tried to scream as tears ran down his face, but he couldn't even breathe.
Crckk.
The deafening sound of George's neck-breaking was heard by no one but the murderer. George hung loosely in the killer's hands but then dropped to the floor with a muffled thud as they let go of him.
~~~~~
"Who are you?" Tubbo asked, his voice quivering. The figure seemed to split, one half disappearing into electrical, leaving the two frightened lads frozen in their spots. The lights turned on, flooding the halls with vibrant glowing and revealing Phil standing in front of them. Techno, the other half of Phil, stepped back out to them.
"Hey guys, I hope we didn't scare you too badly. We just wanted to get the lights back on," he grinned modestly, then shifted his eyes to see a flustered Socks turn around the corner. He sighed in relief when he saw they were both safe, "Thank goodness," he said, alleviated, "I turned into admin to do wiring after the lights went off, I thought you were still with me."
"We're glad you're okay!" Tubbo cried, still clinging to Sparklez's arm. The Captain looked down at him, patting the boy's head then turning his head back to Socks who pushed his glasses up his nose and smiling quizzically at his friend.
"Let's finish our tasks," he laughed. Before they took a step forward, another alarm rang out.
An emergency meeting was called.
~~~~~
Dream stood with the rest of his friends, waiting for George. The lights were back on, showering them with light. Schlatt tapped his foot impatiently and looked to Wilbur, who stood looking out the glass to the void of space, his face sullen.
"Lighten up," Jschlatt said, nudging Wil with his elbow. His friend looked at him and scoffed, but nodded his head. Dream turned on his heel, "I'm gonna go look for George, it's been too long," he said, leaving the room. Before any of the others could say anything, he was gone. They all looked at each other, worry apparent on their faces.
He ran down the now lit up halls, turning the corner. He stopped short as he saw a foot laying on the ground.
"George?" He whispered, too scared to speak louder. He went over to George, who was leaning against the cold metal wall. His head was tipped to the side, tear streaks down his face, and a dribble of blood in the corner of his mouth. Dream stumbled backward and ran to the middle cafeteria button, tripping over himself. He messed with the plastic cover that covered the red button, struggling to open it. With his shaking hands, he pressed the button frantically, sounding the alarm many times.
Everyone somehow teleported to the cafeteria table with their devices in front of them that listed the names of their crewmates and the one imposter. They all looked at each other then at Dream. He felt like crying, he had just seen his friend's body and he just let him go off on his own.
Drawing a shaking breath, Dream spoke, "Where was everyone?" Everyone was concerned about Dream's composure but didn't ask anything.
"Schlatt and Wilbur were with us in navigation," Sapnap said. Dream nodded his head in confirmation.
"I was with Tommy and Techno until the lights went out, then it was just Techno and me in electrical," Phil said, glancing at Tommy and Techno.
"Where were you Socks and Tommy?" Dream asked softly.
"I was in admin after being separated from the Captain and Tubbo. I realized they were gone after the lights turned back on and I went down to electrical after I could see again," Socks replied.
"I was in o2, you guys saw me pass you in shields," Tommy said, hoping they would all vouch for him. He had just cleared the o2 filter when the meeting had been called. Wilbur furrowed his brow, "None of us saw you, the lights were out. How did you see us?"
"W-well I heard you joke about George coding something, and I followed you back to see where he went," he looked around the table, "Where is George?'
"Tommy," Dream spat out, "George was dead in weapons."
All eyes looked to the young boy, and his eyes widened.
"W-w-wait, n-no. It wasn't me!" He panicked.

Kinda sus, ngl, Tommy...
Thank you all so much for reading! I appreciate you all! I would love suggestions for the next story if you're interested in helping. You could comment or DM me, either way is fine. I have multiple essays to write for my classes and at least 10 overdue assignments so I don't know if there'll be an update tomorrow (I also need to sleep sometimes soo...). I'll try to get it out though!
I love you all!
