A Moment of Enough
Can I live a moment where all is still,
Where time stands quiet, against my will?
A breath, a pause, a fleeting sigh,
Nothing to chase, no need to try.
Can I close my eyes and simply be,
With nothing more that I must see?
No dreams to hunt, no past to grieve,
Just a single moment to believe.
For once, let the world fade to grey,
Let worries drift far, far away;
Let my heart rest from all it craves,
Let me be free from what enslaves.
In this moment, I need no more,
Not the open sea nor distant shore;
Not the promise of tomorrow's light,
Just the gentle hush of this endless night.
For what is life but a fleeting dance,
A thousand breaths, a single chance?
And if I can find a moment's peace,
Maybe, just maybe, I'll find release.
So yes, let me live this one small breath,
With nothing more to seek or possess;
To hold this moment, pure and sweet—
A perfect stillness, nothing more I need.
