Winter gives promises,
Promises of hope and peace,
Winter gives light to new times,
A new year, a new look on life,

Winter gives gifts,
Gifts of friendship, love, and family,
Winter gives time,
Time for giving, loving, and sharing.

Winter gives promises,
Promises that are broken, unkept,
Winter gives light to new times,
A lost friend, lost plans, lost moments,
Winter gives gifts,
Gifts of dreams, memories, and photos,

Winter brings snow and the cold,
Ice that chills the heart and cools the soul,
Winter brings fire
Fire that burns, destroys, and sparks,
Winter brings stories,
Stories of friends, family, and life,

Winter takes away the warmth,
Warmth of the sun, of laughter, and of wishes,
Winter takes away the coldness,
Coldness of heart, of fans, and of ice cream,
Winter takes away the songs,
Songs of love, of others, and of art,

Winter is promising,
Winter is full-time
Winter is gifting
Winter is snow,
Winter is cold,
Winter is fire,
Winter is in ice,
Winter is written,
Winter is promising.
