Hey guys, it's been a while. Well, I lost a friend in the month of March 2023 and it was a rollercoaster of emotions. He meant so much to me and I was so sad that I cried my eyes out. Actually, he was the one that took me to my highschool senior year prom. We weren't together, just great friends. He was funny, cool and very friendly. In all, I miss him and I just wrote this poem to let it out. This is my tribute to him and I hope it can serve as a form of comfort to all grieving.

A lost close friend is akin a lost precious stone,
It feels as though it struck a bone,
The thoughts of everlasting pain,
The thoughts of never seeing again.

I keep the crushing thoughts at bay,
Hopeless hopes of it being a faux by day,
My thoughts drift to the good times,
Alas those are now a part of time.

The grim reaper only takes leaving behind miseries,
Leaving survivors to wallow in their injuries,
I feel myself sailing into depression,
But I am cautious not to be captain of my own destruction.

I know you are at peace,
Somewhere your pain would finally cease,
Looking down smiling at us,
But I really only want you down here with us.
