Chapter 2

     Everything happened so fast. Okay,  not really. I took a long nap on my mommy's lap untill Too Cute ended. Then, she gently put Pepper and me on the floor. She walked to the kitchen and we followed her.

     "Aaawww. Do you guys want a treat?"

     Meow! I tried to be as loud as I could to tell Mommy "Yes!" It sounded like Pepper was thinking the same thing.

     Woof, woof!

     "All right, here you go." She hand each of us a crumb of the chocolate cake she was cutting.

     Yum. Cake is my favorite treat. Mmmm. I tried to tell Pepper with my mouth full.

     I know, right? Almost as good as penut butter.

     After we ate our delicious cake crumbs Pepper had to go for a walk. I was left all alone. I scoured the house looking for something to do. I ran under Mommy's bed and chased some evil dust bunnies, but they didn't put up much of a fight. I sat on the couch and layed my head on my paws. That's when it hit me. No, literally. A sipder came down and landed on my nose. I spoke my head to get it off. When it was gone, I got an idea. If I want adventure, and I can't find it in the house, I need to go outside the house. Just like Pepper! I ran in circles I was so excited. I ran and ran and ran until Mommy came back with Pepper.

     Before she could even take off Pepper's leash, I brushed my golden fur against her leg. Then, I ran to the door a brushed against that. The dsame thing I've seen Pepper go when he wants to go for a walk. I didn't get the same reaction.

     "Aaawww." She picked me up and craddled me in her arms. I set my head on her arm thinking I wasn't going to get my wish. Then, she surprised me. "You want to go outside? That's adroble! I'll she want I can do." She put me gently on the floor with Pepper and walked to her room. I saw her sit down at the computer and start typing.

      You... Want to go outside? Pepper sounded astonished.

     Yeah! What's it like out there? I've never seen. Plus, I want, I need, adventure! Its getting boring in here all day.
     Well. There trees and sky. Um. I don't think I can explain it very well. Maybe you should wait until Mommy finds a way for you to go out there.
     Maybe... Right now, I think I need a cat nap. See you! I ran over to the couch thinking that tommorow would be a good day.
