The Sleepover

Selena and her mom picked me up from my house at 7:30 P.M. We listened to the radio and sang songs as we drove to her house. Selena's grandma doesn't usally let me come over, but since it was still the first week of school she made an exception. We stopped by Wendy's and got chocolate and vanilla frosties. I got a vanilla one because I had chocolate fudge and peanut butter ice cream before I left and my doctor had told me not to eat alot of chocolate because it highly affects acne. Anyway, we got to Selena's house and ate our frosties.

"Hey, Lilly, want to go swimming when we're done? The pool is always nicer at night."

"That sounds awesome! I can't wait!"

Soon we were both done and went out to the pool. The water was warm, but not at all hot. The only light we had was that of a porch light and the moon. But that didn't matter, we just fine and content with with the warmth of the pool and cool of the night. As we swam, I decided to begin a conversation.

"I really like being in 7th grade. The walking between classes, more than one teacher, I think I love everything about it. What do you like best?"

"I dunno... I guess if I have to pick just one thing it would be the boys. There's so many more than in elementary school. Do you have a crush on anyone, yet?"

"Honestly, I hadn't thought about it much. Well... There are these two boys that I have math to together with. There names are Luke and Charlie. What about you?"

"No, not really. I like to keep an open mind until later on in the year."

"That makes sense. It's getting late, we should get to bed before your mom or grandma starts yelling."

"Good idea. You've never seen my grandma yell, and trust me, you don't want to."

"Strangely, I belive you. Come on, I'll sleep on your sister's bed since she's of of town."
