To Close or Not to Close the Curtains

"YOU'RE WHERE?" I shouted at Leo after he told me where they were. "YOU EXPECT US TO GET THERE FROM HALFWAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY?!"

"Well, I mean, you could always fly."

"Leo, we don't have nearly enough money for three tickets to fly from New York all the way to Arizona. Let alone 5 tickets for the way back."

"Wait, hold up. Who is even on the quest?"

"Percy, Nico, and me."

"So couldn't you just shadow travel or something?"

"Not an option either."

"Ugh!"

I was about to start complaining about other things, but white invaded my vision again.

"Crap," I sighed, "I'll talk to Nico and Percy. See you guys soon, I guess." I waved them goodbye and they waved back, Calyspo with a hopeful smile on her face.

I woke up to sunlight on my face. I immediately pulled the blanket over my eyes and tried to will the light to leave.

"Wake up sleepy heads!" I heard Percy yell.

"I don't wanna," I mumbled.

"Come on! I'm hungry!"

"Percy, you're always hungry!" I heard Nico yell.

"We wanna sleep!" I pleaded some more.

"Guys!" Percy whined, "Hey, don't I get to be in charge since I'm the oldest and most experienced?"

"No!" Nico shouted.

I pulled the blanket off my face to see Percy standing by the window with a smug look on his face. I stuck out my tongue. "If you're so smart, then where's Leo?"

"Oh, um..."

"That's what I thought," I threw the blanket back over my head, "He's in Lake Havasu City, Arizona."

"How do you know?"

I explained about the dreams where I was able to talk to Leo and Calyspo and how Calyspo didn't know who she'd be able to connect to.

"That's why I wanted to go on this quest," I finished.

"Oh," Percy said.

"Why did agree to come?" I asked him.

"I made a promise to help Leo in any way to find Calyspo. I guess I feel like I haven't carried out that promise yet."

"Gods, Percy!"

"What?"

"Stop being so Gods dam heroic all the time. It's annoying."

I could just imagine him grinning over there by that stupid window.

"And close those curtains, will you?" I whined.

"Hmm, I don't think Nico wants me to,"

"Shut up," Nico grumbled from under his blanket.

"Aww, but isn't the sun your-"

"I said shut up!"

"Okay, okay!"

I started to giggle.

"Percy, no!" I almost screamed.

"Huh, what?"

"NOT MY FANGIRL MODE."

"What in the world is that?"

I couldn't hold it back any more. I burst into girly giggles and started clutching my stomach.

"You- haha, Percy! You're so lucky- haha, there aren't any couples here right now!"

"What? Why?"

"Do I need to spell it out?" I started, "This is me just thinking about Nico and Will. Just imagine how I would be if Will was here!"

"Oh... OH!"

I could just imagine Nico face as bright red as a cherry under the blanket. I threw my blanket off, still giggling. I climbed out of bed and walked towards the window. Percy backed away slowly as if I was treat while I was thinking about couples or something. I mean, only if he was to insult the couples I was thinking about. I didn't think he was dumb enough to do that, though. (A/N I had made a MAJOR typo over at 'as'... I'll let you figure that one out. lol)

I pulled the curtains closed and walked back to my bed. I climbed in and I slowly began to calm down.

I must have fallen back asleep because I woke up to the sound of running water. I stretched and sat myself up. I looked around and saw Nico sitting on the other bed, looking straight ahead at the wall behind the T.V.

"Whatcha thinking about?" I asked him.

"Nothing."

I fell backwards onto my pillows and through my arms out to my sides. "Lair."

There was an awkward silence for a good 30 seconds before Nico spoke again.

"Will."

"I knew it!" I cleared my throat, "I mean, continue."

"That's it."

"Sure it is."

I was about to beg for more information when suddenly, the sound of water stop. A few seconds later, a completely dry Percy walked out of the bathroom wearing a fresh Camp half-Blood t-shirt and jeans.

"Well, I'm ready for food, who else is ready for food!" he looked around at us. Nico was sitting is the same position, but his gaze had shifted to his hands. I was still on my back, starring at the ceiling. "Okay, no one, then."

Eventually, we all finally finished getting ready. We had all of our things pack in our bags and we had checked out. Now we were at McDolands, again. This time we had ordered to go because we ended up leaving the hotel late. Gee, I wonder why.

Anyway, now were outside on a bench, eating.

"Look!" I shouted, "A rainbow!"

"Oh, oh, oh!" Percy pulled off his backpack and started rummaging through the front pockets. "Got it!"

He threw the drachma into the rainbow and recited the proper opening, then asking for Annabeth Chase.

The IM popped up to show Annabeth in her cabin at her desk. She was looking at a picture that I couldn't see with a worried look on her face.

"Wise Girl!"

"Oh, hi Seaweed Brain!"

"Omg," I whispered.

"What?" Nico asked, who was right next to me on the bench.

"I just can't get over how cute they are together!"

"Wow."

"Oh, don't worry."

"Worry about what?"

"I haven't forgot about you and Will yet!"

Nico sighed. I just started smiling uncontrollably.

"Oh, no. Not fangirl mode or whatever again!"

"I'll try."

I focused back onto Percy and Annabeth's conversation a just the right time.

"So how can we get there?" Percy asked.

"Well, you guys could ask Hazel for help. That'd be your best bet."

"Okay, cool! Thanks Annabeth! Love you!"

"Love you, too. Bye!"

"Bye!"

Percy waved his hand through the IM and pulled out another drachma. He tossed it and asked for Hazel this time.

Hazel was in a cafe place I didn't recognize with Frank across from her.

"Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to inturrupt or anything."

"Huh?" Hazel looked over and smiled, "Oh hi! What's happening?"
