When We Were Friends

Once upon a time... well I don't know about that. This isn't a fantasy. It's life. Anyway, my name's Lilly Buckton and I'm Thirteen. I'm in the 7th grade and go to middle school in Phoenix, Arizona. I live in an apartment with my mom, dad, and two older brothers. My best friend is Selena Tabbing. But enough about me, let's get on with my life. It was a normal day and my brothers were at school and my mom and dad were at work. I had grabed my backpack that I had pack the night before and left for the bus. I went through my normal schedule, homeroom, math, history, science, and had made it to lunch. I met Selena in the cafeteria.

"Guess what? Tomorrow there is a back to school party at my church. Do you want to come?" Selena asked me.

"Of course! Why would I not want to come?"

"Only if you weren't my bff anymore, duhh. But I know that'll never happen. Anyway, I'll text you the D's tonight. See you tomorrow!"

"Bye!"

After I had gotten home, I got a text from Selena. I expected it to be the D's, instead it said: "hey, change of plans. we're not going to that party tomorrow. want to come stay over at my place instead?" I replied with: "sure, I'd love to come! see u tomorrow!"
