Chapter 4

The next few days Mommy spent her time packing. I would lay under the couch and watch. If I came out and sat next to Mommy, she would pat my head and get back to work. If I start walking around, I get in the way. Then she would usher me away. So I just stayed under the couch.

Soon, all the was left in our home was Mommy's bed, the couch, Pepper's cage, and my travel case. Oh, and of course all the boxes. Mommy sat down on the couch while talking on her phone.

"Uh, hi. Is this Moving Manics? ... Oh, good. Well, I need help moving my boxes and big things to new house. ... Yes, it's just me. ... Uh, 2:00 P.M. ... OK, thank you!"

"Good news, guys!" She moved to sit on the floor. Pepper and I ran over. "The moving guys will come over soon so I need you two to be on your best behavior. OK?" I meowed in agreement and Pepper barked and licked Mommy's hand. I rubbed my back against her other hand then sat down in her lap. Pepper stalked over and sat next to me. Mommy used both her hands to pet us at the same time.
I lu you, Mommy. I meowed and began to purr. Purrrrr purr purrrrr

Soon, the moving people came to take all the boxes away. I was hiding the whole time. Once the left, Mommy put Pepper and me into our cages. She put us in the car and drove to our new home. I couldn't wait.
