Chapter Eleven

I Lead a Sneak Attack With Purfume

"So where should we start?"

"I dunno."

"Well, that doesn't help."

"Come on, you're the oldest here!"

"So?"

"Ugh! You're impossible! How does Annabeth put up with you?"

"Eh, I dunno."

"Holy Hades, Jackson!"

"Well what do you suggest, then?"

"How about a safe place to stay? Like a hotel or something."

"And risk it being invaded and mortals being injured?"

"Well, we could sleep in a cave. Whatever you prefer."

"Fine. Hotel."

I watched with awe as Percy and Nico agured like there was no tomorrow. It was as if I wasn't even there.

"Can we get food first though? I'm starving." Percy started again.

"Where?"

"I dunno."

"Oh my Gods, Percy!" Nico threw his hands in the air.

"Well there's a McDonald's over there," I said, breaking their death glares.

Percy looked over at me as if just remembering I existed. Then he broke out laughing. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nico biting his lip trying to surpress a smile.

"I don't get it."

That threw Nico off. Now both the boys were on the ground laughing about Gods know what.

I sighed. We weren't getting anywhere like this. I bent down and grabbed both of their ears. One in each hand.

I started walking towards the McDonald's across the street. People passing by gave us weird looks as the boys struggled to follow me while repeatedly yelping. I just smiled at the people and gave them a nod.

When we we're outside of the fast food store, I let go of the boys' ears. Immediately they both started rubbing the side of their head that I had grabbed.

"Gods, that hurt more than Tartarus," Percy whinned.

"He's right... for once."

"Nico!" I practically shrieked, "You need to be nice! Apologize."

"What! I'm not going to-"

"Yes you will if you want your food."

"Sorry, Percy." Nico grumbled.

I caught Percy covering his mouth, laughing.

"Percy, you too."

"What! But I-"

"Perseus Jackson you will apologize!"

"But-"

"No aguring Mr.!"

"Yes, Delyla. Sorry, Nico."

I smiled, "Good boys. Now you guys go find us a table."

We entered the McDonald's and Percy and Nico went straight to the back to get a table. I went to the front to order the food.

I ordered two happy meals and one adult chicken nugget meal. I got the number, which was 7, and joined the boys.

When I came up to them, they still didn't have a table. Instead, they we're arguing again. I watched as Percy gestured to the playroom. Nico immediately pointed to a table in the corner.

As soon as they saw me, their eyes widened and they quickly scrambled to the nearest open table. I rolled my eyes and sat down.

The table happened to be a booth. In their hectic attempt to not let me see them aguring again, they ended up next to each with me on the other side.

We sat in an awkward silence for a while. Nico had his arms folded and Percy was sitting boredly while tapping his finger annoyingly on the table. I blame the ADHA.

Finally our number was called. I looked at Percy and held out my hand.

"Backpack, please."

He mumbled something under his breath that sounded somewhat like "bossy like her mother", but he handed me the pack. I took out the little baggie of money and gave him his pack back. (A/N lolz pack back)

I went up to get the food and thanked the lady. Then I took it back to the table.

I handed Nico and Percy the happy meals and I sat down with the adult meal.

Nico went straight for the toy, but Percy started complaining.

"Why do we get happy meals and you get an adult meal! Its not fair." He folded his arms.

"Dude," Nico said, "Stop complaining. She might take your toy away."

Percy playfully guarded his happy meal and I laughed before grabbing my food from my bag and starting to eat.

***

We entered the hotel about an hour after that. Percy and Nico had stopped treating me like a scary stepmother by now, but they could tell I meant business at the least.

As soon as we went through the automatic doors, Percy jogged up to front desk. By the time Nico and I had reached the desk, Percy was already done and holding a key card.

"We're in Room 340!"

"THE THIRD FLOOR?" Nico and I practically yelled at the same time.

"Yup!" He smiled, "Come on!"

He started walking towards the elevators and stairs.

We followed him just a few steps behinds.

Nico was about to press the elevator button when Percy yelled "NO!"

"No, what?" Nico asked him.

"Don't press that elevator button."

"Why?"

"We're taking the stairs!"

"What! No!"

"Come on! The exercise will be good for you!"

"So what! I-" Nico started arguing again, but I cut him off.

"Why don't you take the stairs and you take the elevator? It can be a race!"

"Fine," Nico grumbled.

"Yay!" Percy shouted, "and what will you do Lyla?"

I pointed to the elevator. "We'll start as soon as the doors close."

They both agreed and Nico pressed the button. We went into the elevator and Percy stood ready at the bottom of the stairs. As soon as the doors shut, Percy started running.

"He can't possible run up 6 flights of stairs faster than an elevator, can he?" I asked.

"I wouldn't be so sure."

We waited in anticipation until the doors dinged open. We saw Percy studying the key card. He looked up at the sound of the doors opening and he smiled.

"What took you guys so long?"

"How did you-"

"What's my prize!"

I thought for a moment before ginning. "You're prize is," I started, "you get to carry all the backpacks to the hotel room!"

His smile quickly faded as he stared at me in disbelief. I grinned wider and took my backpack off my back and handed it to him.

He groaned and slung it on his other shoulder. He held his hand out for Nico to hand him his backpack, too.

Nico shrugged his shoulders and gave Percy his pack.

Percy and Nico walked ahead of me and I followed behind. I couldn't help but think over the day.

Percy and Nico we're fighting just like brothers. I mean, technology they're cousins. And that means technology Jason's my half brother. And his sister, Thalia, I think, she's my half sister. And we're connected my Zeus's marriage to my mom, Hera. And she's the Goddess of marriage and motherhood. Which is ironic since I grew up without a mother. But I guess that's just because she's a Goddess. And I remember from history class that since she was the Goddess of marrige, that she'd only have children with Zeus. Which would explain why I'm a broken promise. And then- (A/N I think I made Delyla some sort of super master mind or something...)

"Here we go!" I was pulled out of my line of thought at the sound of Percy's voice.

He opened the door for us and dropped the bags in front of the first bed.

It was only one room, with two beds, a T.V., a mini fridge, and a bathroom.

"Percy, you couldn't get two rooms?" I asked him.

"Naw, that cost double."

"How much was this, then?"

"$20"

"And our food was $10."

"So we've spent $30 already."

"Yup."

"Crap."

"And we have no idea where to go?"

"Yup."

"Crap."

"Yup."

"Well how about we figure it out tomorrow then. I can't think straight, I'm so tired," I whinned.

"Good idea, but there's only two beds..."

The three of us looked at each and almost started running at the same time.

"DIPS!" I yelled as I flopped on the closest bed.

I looked up to see the boys running to the next bed. They both ended up touching it at the same time.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" Percy yelled. They played a few rounds, but they continualously tied.

"You guys could share," I suggested, "I mean, you're both guys."

"But-" Percy started to argue, but Nico cut him off.

"Relax. You're not even my type." He flopped on the left side of the bed with his hands behind his head.

"Fine," Percy grumbled.

He layed down on the far right of the bed.

"Percy?" Nico asked.

"Yeah?"

"Go take a shower."

"What?"

"You smell from running up those stairs."

He threw the blankets over his head, "I'm too tired."

I climbed out of bed and grabbed my perfume from my bag. I walked over to where Percy was laying and poked him.

"Percy?"

He took the blankets off and I immediately sprayed the fragrance, aiming for his neck.

"AHHHHHHHH" he screamed. Nico and I entered a laughing fit. I fell over onto the floor holding my stomach. Nico fell off the bed, but continued to laugh.

"Not. Funny," Percy complained.

When we finally stopped laughing, Percy asked me what that was. I told him it was my perfume, and he laughed.

After that, we all went to bed. I closed my eyes and hoped that Calyspo's magic wouldn't fail, and I'd see them again tonight.
