Chapter Eleven
The Plan (Part 2)
"OK, so here's the plan-" just then, Charlie was interrupted by somebody plopping down next to me. I looked over and almost screamed.
"Emma!" I reached over and offered a hug. She gladly accepted my offer and squeezed tight. "I didn't think I would meet up with you again."
She giggled, "I didn't think I could find you again," she glanced over at Charlie, "Charlie? I haven't seen you since 4th grade!"
"Hi, Emma." Charlie gave me a look and pointed to Emma. As if asking if she knew. I shook my head. He made another look as if asking if we were going to tell her. I nodded.
"Emma, I have something to tell you. Something important." She looked over at me as I started to explain. When I was finished, she reached over and hugged me again.
"I say let's get back at her. Didn't you say you had two crushes?"
"Yeah, so?"
"Then we still have a chance with the other one!"
"I guess so."
"But this time, you have us here to help you!" I smiled. "So who is it? She asked.
"Luke."
"Oh, I know him!" Charlie practically shouted. "He's on he football team! And single, too"
I rolled my eyes. "OK, so part one of our plan is to get Luke and I a date. How will we do that?"
"What's going to be part two?" Emma asked.
"Let's just focus on part one for now."
"Oh, I know!" Charlie said, "Luke's a fan of blind dates. Why could set up a double blind date. You and Luke and Isabella and me."
"How about a triple blind date?" Emma suggested.
"You like blind dates too?" I asked bewildered.
"No! I was talking about my boyfriend, Todd."
"Cool, sounds like fun then," I smiled, "Charlie can you set it up?"
"Yeah."
"OK, that's fun and all, but what about part two?" Emma pried.
"Well... I was think about maybe some spy work to find out Selena's crush..."
"Omg! That's a great idea!" Emma squealed.
"Yay! I'm glad you like! And I was hoping maybe you could do it?"
"Oh, uh, I don't know if that's going to work out..."
"Why not? She doesn't know you or anything."
"Oh, look at the time! The bell's going to ring soon!" She rushed out and towards her next class.
"How weird," I concluded.
"Yup," Charlie agreed, "but she does have a point. See you tomorrow, Lilly."
"See ya," we waved goodbye and he headed for his classroom.
I sighed happily and followed their lead.
