Thad was confused and said

"Why is it in their best interest that they don't know Anderson?" Blaine leaned forward and said

"Rachel would have freaked out and then bailed and stopped talking to him. She has spent far too long going along with Finn's mind games and only being interested when he lost her attention. And when I was at Dalton, I had my own suspicion that Smythe had feelings for her, and if he knew about Rachel being his Broadwaybabi, it would freak him too, and would make him believe him that he isn't good enough for her because of him accidentally throwing the slushee at me and him blackmailing her to break them up. Rachel didn't talk to him for weeks after he did those things." As Thad listened to Blaine he realised he was right. Thad remembered it hurt Sebastian when Rachel didn't talk to him, and he sighed and said

"You're right, but if it goes too far and gets out of hand, I'm telling him and you or even Kurt or Puckerman are telling Rachel. Got it Anderson?" Blaine looked at Thad and saw he was serious and said

"I got it Harwood." As he said that, Blaine looked at Thad as he stood up and said

"I've been meaning to ask, how did you know it was Rachel?" Thad picked up his keys and phone from the table and said

"After she ran from Smythe, her necklace fell. Smythe picked it up and showed Clarington and I. and I recognised it was Rachel's." Blaine was shocked at what Thad had told him and said

"You mean her Star of David necklace, that her dads gave her?" Thad nodded his head and said

"That's the one." Thad then walked out leaving Blaine on his own in a very complicated situation.

The following week Rachel hoped Sebastian would forget about everything, and about the dance. She looked at Puck and said

"Do you think he forgot?" Puck shook his head and said

"Probably not Rach." Rachel sighed as she knew Puck was right, and as they walked inside their school doors and saw papers with outlines of her face on it, with a question mark in the middle. Rachel was nervous, she hoped and prayed no-one knew it was her, she liked the attention but not with this. 

Rachel kept her head down as she walked through the crowded hallway to her locker with Puck by her side. Rachel took a deep breath as she continued on with her day.

Thad stood with Sebastian and Hunter as Sebastian was putting up the papers to find his Cinderella as he glanced over at Rachel who was at her locker. Thad felt unsure about it, because he wanted to tell his best friend, but he made a promise to Blaine that he wouldn't. As Hunter left, Thad softly spoke

"Is this necessary Smythe, and are you sure this is effective to find her?"  Sebastian sighed as he put up the paper and said

"I have no idea, but I have to do something to find her. I tried talking to her but she isn't replying, I think she is afraid too. So I'm using a different strategy to find her." Thad was still unsure but he knew he couldn't tell him anything at all no matter how much he wanted to.

When the bell rang for first period, Thad walked to his class leaving Sebastian to walk to his. Thad walked into his biology class, and walked over to Rachel and said

"I'll be your partner, you and I need to have a chat Rachel." Rachel looked at Thad curiously and said

"We do?" Thad looked at Rachel knowingly and said

"We do Rachel." Thad leaned forward to her

"Or should I say.." Thad whispered so only she could hear 

"BroadywayBabi." Rachel looked at Thad afraid and said

"How do you know Thad?" Thad looked at her and said

"That's why we are going to have a chat, and you're going to be my partner instead of Santana and Puck being them." Rachel nodded her head as she followed Thad to the back of the class room, and sat next to him and said

"You're going to tell him aren't you?" Thad shook his head and said

"No I made a promise to Blaine that I wouldn't. I want to but I'm not." Rachel was silent, and Thad said

"He told me you haven't spoke to him, why is that?" Rachel took a deep breath, and said to him softly

"Because I know it's him, I know it's Sebastian. I am terrified of him knowing its me." Thad looked at Rachel concerned and said

"Why?" Rachel looked down and then at Thad and said

"What if he doesn't like what he sees and he rejects me Thad. I'm not very open of putting myself out there, if Sebastian knew it was me, he would be disappointed about it." Thad smiled at her and whispered as they started dissecting their frog

"You know he's putting up flyers around here to find you right?" Rachel focused on the frog in front of them and said

"How do you know Thad, he did blackmail me in the past remember?" Thad looked at Rachel intently and said

"I remember. I also remember that it hurt him when you didn't talk to him, and when you didn't talk to him when he accidentally hurt Blaine." Rachel stopped what she was doing and looked up at him and said

"He was hurt because I didn't talk to him?" Thad nodded his head slowly as he picked up the the tools for the frog and said

"He was. it hurt him a lot. So reply to him Rach and talk to him. He's waiting for you too. and I promise you that you won't ever disappoint him. Not you anyway." Rachel was confused and said

"What do you mean, not me anyway?" Thad shook his head and said

"That is for a chat for another time Rachel Berry." Rachel was unsure and said

"How do you know he won't be disappointed Thad?" Thad smiled at her and said

"Because I know my best friend Rachel." 

Thad knew his best friend would never be disappointed in Rachel, Thad realised Blaine's suspicion about Sebastian was right, and his about Rachel was too. Rachel and Sebastian were in love with each other, and they just didn't know it.
