Okay, now that Christmas is over, what happens to all the fir, balsam, and spruce trees that people spent their hard-earned money on? Do they get dumped into a waste disposal? Do they end up in a landfill? Do they become compost? Burned?

My guess for most of those questions is yes. But, there is another interesting, environmentally friendly method of disposal as well, that I only found out about in the past few years.

It just so happens that goats love to eat dried evergreen trees. During this time of year, they love feasting on their favorite holiday treat.
