09 December - Angus X Brian
It was December 9th. Saturday. It was still snowing outside, reaching -20°C. The heating was on full blast as a couple snuggled up together in a large double bed. A smaller body wrapped in the arms of a slightly larger body. Brian gently held Angus close and kissed his curls.
"Good morning." He hummed. The guitarist grumbled and turned his face away. Light shone in through the window, which Angus didn't like at all.
"I'm tired." Angus whined. Brian chuckled. He sat up in bed and went down to the kitchen. There he opened the refrigerator and started preparing breakfast. Pancakes. He also made coffee and tea. When everything was ready, he put the food on a tray and went back into the bedroom. Angus hadn't moved an inch for the half hour Brian had been cooking and was still curled up under the covers. Brian chuckled and carefully placed the tray of food on the bedside table.
"Come on, darling. Breakfast is ready." Angus turned onto his back and rubbed his eyes while yawning.
"Breakfast in bed?" He asked sleepily and sat up a little, leaning against the headrest of the bed.
"Mh." Brian hummed in agreement and climbed into the bed next to him. He covered himself and then carefully lifted the tray onto his lap. Angus' eyes widened when he saw the pancakes and he licked his lips. Brian giggled as Angus rolled up a pancake and took a bite.
"Mh." Angus hummed, closing his eyes. He leaned his head on Brian's shoulder and smiled. "I love you."
"You love my pancakes." Brian corrected, grinning knowingly at him.
"That too." Angus nodded and looked him in the eyes. "They are heavenly. But so are you, baby." Brian giggled and pushed a curl out of Angus's face before starting eating too. So they sat next to each other in silence. Angus still had his head on Brian's shoulder and they finished eating their breakfast.
"What do you want to do today, darling?" Brian asked, kissing Angus on the head after putting the tray on the floor. Angus laid his head on Brian's chest and closed his eyes, yawning.
"I don't know." He muttered. "I think I just want to stay in bed."
"Stay in bed, huh?" Brian repeated thoughtfully. "Why not?" He agreed. Angus smiled. They lay there cuddled together for a while. "Have you ever thought that we could learn a language together?" Angus raised his head to look at Brian and started to laugh.
"A language? How do you come up with something like that?" Brian shrugged his shoulders.
"Just like that. I heard it's a good idea for couples at Christmas time." Angus chuckled.
"What language did you want to learn?"
"No idea. I didn't think about it that much." Brian muttered. "Spanish?" Angus hummed thoughtfully.
"Italian."
"Swedish."
"German."
"French."
"Russian."
"Chinese." Angus burst out laughing.
"Chinese!? My goodness, Brian! We would never learn this language!"
"Why not?" Brian giggled.
"It's way too difficult." Brian grinned.
"I'm sure we could do it together."
"Let's start with something easy. Spanish sounds good." Brian grinned.
"I think we even have a book!" The older one jumped up and ran down into the living room. Angus watched him go, laughing. It didn't take long and Brian was back again. He held a thick book in his hand and sat back on the bed.
"Spanish for beginners." Angus read aloud as Brian handed him the book. The guitarist opened it and looked inside. There were many pictures. They flipped through the pages a bit and made fun of the people in the pictures before trying to read the sentences. It was about Spanish proverbs.
"Más vale tarde que nunca." Brian read and then looked over at Angus. The older man started laughing. "The saying suits you."
"What does that mean?" Angus asked, puzzled.
"Better late than never." Angus chuckled. Brian kissed him gently and turned to the next page.
"Tener memoria de pez." Angus read and then started laughing.
"What?" Brian giggled. "What does that mean?" Angus laughed so hard he had to hold his stomach and the book on his legs shook so hard that Brian couldn't see what it meant.
"It means having the memory of a fish." Brian chuckled.
"And what does that mean?"
"That you always forget everything. Like you." Angus laughed.
"Not true!" Brian shouted, laughing.
"Yes it is! You always forget everything! Your memory is as full of holes as Swiss cheese!" Brian chuckled. "Encontrar tu media naranja." Angus grinned after a while of silence.
"What does that mean?" Brian asked, puzzled .
"Finding your half of the orange." Angus said after checking.
"Huh?" The older man asked puzzled and scratched the back of his head.
"You're my better orange half." Angus said, smiling. "It means finding your life partner." Brian laughed.
"So we are orange halves. How romantic." Angus laughed and put the book on the floor before snuggling up to Brian.
"I love you, crazy Englishman." Brian giggled and held Angus close.
"I love you too, Scotsman." Angus grinned.
"Brian. I'm bored." The guitarist complained quietly. Brian sighed.
"Me too."
"What do we do now?" It was quiet for a while.
"Dirty deeds?" Brian grinned and raised his eyebrow teasingly. Angus rolled his eyes.
"Not now, Brian."
"Why not?"
"Not now, Brian." Angus repeated himself. "I just... want to cuddle with you." Brian smiled and held him close again.
"I love you, Angus. You are my better orange half and you are..." He had to stop for a moment because they were both laughing so hard. "You are simply the most wonderful creature I have ever met. You are beautiful, crazy, smart and you have everything I could ever want. I'm really glad we met. I love you." Angus smiled softly at him and kissed him on the cheek.
"I love you too, Brian. That will never change." Brian smiled and they snuggled back into the sheets, wrapped in each other's arms. They loved each other very much and that probably wouldn't change. It was Christmas and although they loved each other all year long, they tried to spend more time together, especially at Christmas. After all, they were each other's orange halves, right?
THE END;)
