(Y/n)'s POV.

We started walking again. I felt a lot better after that little talk. 'I'm glad to have met them.' Ralsei and Kris clearly care about me... Susie, probably not so much but whatever. It might be difficult to say what will be waiting for us on our journey but we can do this if we continue the way we're going.

After a while, we came across Lancer once again. He took notice of us and his smile grew. "Well, flip my flapjacks! The clowns are back in town! Well, bad news! Since you last saw me several minutes ago... I've created a brand new fighting team ready to stop you! Not even the purple girl can stop me now! Ho Ho Ho!!! Are you ready to be--"

Through this whole speach of his, I had a simple smile on my face while listening to him rambling. 'He might act like he wants to kill us but he's a child, through and through. If you keep that in mind, his actions are even kind of cute.'

But the young spade got interrupted by non other than Susie, who appeared to be extremely annoyed my Lancer. "Stop. Stop talking." She demanded in a monotone voice. "Ho Ho Ho? What is that? Why are you saying that?" Lancer was caught off guard, he didn't know how to answer that question. "Ho Ho Ho? It's my evil laugh! Scary right?" He explained with a hopeful grin.

Susie chuckled. "You sound like baby Santa Claus." I glared daggers in her direction. 'How dare she make fun of him like that?!'

Lancer seemed a bit hurt by Susie's words. The tip on his head flopping as he stayed silent for a moment. "..... Uh, you mean, like, in a badass way...?" He played around with his gloves nervously. "Shut up." Susie said while stuffing her hand in her pockets, very calmly making her way towards the prince of spades, completely dismissing us as we anxiously looked after her. She stopped in front of him. "You REALLY think you know how to be scary?" She grinned. Lancer started sweating and stuttering. "W... well.... I...-" "Wrong." Susie states with a blank expression. "Man, wannabe tough guys like you REALLY piss me off. Face it, you wouldn't know scary..." She stepped closer to him, pretty much towering over his small frame at this point.

I had a bad feeling about this. I very slowly reached up to my bow, getting ready to pull it out if needed. I whispered to the two boys, who were silently watching this while situation onfold. "Kris... Ralsei... I know we agreed not to attack anyone but if she dares try anything sinister with Lancer, I WILL put an arrow in her shoulder... So don't try to stop me..." Kris nodded, understanding my standpoint. Ralsei was a bit more hesitant but slowly nodded as well. As much as he would love to give Susie the benefit of the doupt, he knew that right now, she was completely unpredictable and he knew that if Lancer was in danger that I would not hesitate to step in.

Susie continued talking. "... If it picked you up and bit your face off." Lancer looked down with a frown. "Oh really?" She approached him further and Lancer was backing up nervously. I now had a tight grip on my bow and an arrow already in hand, watching their every move. Susie grabbed the young spade by his collar and picked him up, closer to her face. Ralsei anxiously hid behind Kris, holding his eyes closed with his hand. "Oh, I can't look." Kris, was also intensely analyzing the scene with a serious frown.

The purple lizard fletched her sharp yellow teeth, an insane look in her eyes. "Then why don't we prove it? We'll start with the part... Where your face gets bit off. AHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!" She laughed like a crazy person and I had enough. I pulled out my bow and stretched an arrow, ready to shoot it into her shoulder to make her drop him.

Lancer blinkt at the laughing lady infront of him before a very excited smile stretched along his face. "Ohhhhh, ok. I get it! Thank you purple girl!"

We all stopped in our tracks. Ralsei was peaking from behind the stunned Kris. I took some tension from the arrow. And don't get me started on Susie. She halted her laughing fit and snapped her head down to look at the grinning blue Darkener. She was completely dumbfounded and if it wasn't for the dangerous tension a few moment ago, I would have laughed my ass off. "... What?"

"Thanks! It was kind of you! To teach me how to be scary! With an evil laugh!" Lancer clapped with his hands exitedly. 'He... thought she was teaching him?'

"Hey, I wasn't..." Susie tried to explain herself, sweating nervously but Lancer didn't listen to her. "And now...!" He jumped down from Susie's grasp and I lowered my bow, way to confused on what was going on.

Purple/pink rabbits(?), like the one who warned us from Susie, came from behind Lancer. "You're going to be thrashed! AHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!" Lancer finished, copying Susie laugh at the end before he rushed off, yelling "Merry Christmas!" over his shoulder.

The four of us just stood there in silent as I slowly put my bow and arrow back into their places, still looking after Lancer. I heard Susie sigh. "I guess that's KIND OF an improvement..." She mumbled under her breath but I still heard it.

All of a sudden, the rabbits pulled us into a battle. That definitely starled all of us For a moment, we were all to stunned to do anything until Kris shook his head, probably to get rid of the confusion and we all got ready for the battle.

Knowing that Susie was going to attack them, I cupped my hands around my mouth, shouting to them. "Hey, you might want to watch out for the purple lizard lady. She might be our friend, but she's crazy!!" The opponents nodded in understanding, their guard going up. Susie growled. "How often do I have to say it, little girl, we are NOT friends!!" She swung at the enemies in frustration and anger, but they dodged her.

I could feel Susie's glare on me but I didn't care. Kris decided to act next, attempting to befriend them. To be honest, he barely lifted a finger and... "Alright! You win! Let's be friends!" All three of them smiled happily. 'They really did not want to fight us. They were just to scared of their boss.' Only thinking about it made my blood boil but I took a deep breath, to not repeat everything from earlier again. Kris, Ralsei and I spared them one by one until we won the battle.

We all put our weapons away. Susie still had an obvious frown on her face. "Why did you warn them huh? I couldn't even land a single hit! Where is the fun in that?!" The Bully crossed her arms, pouting. I got so angry at her words that I walked towards her, just like she had done with Lancer earlier.

"Why I warned them about you?! You really got some nerves, haha! You threatened a 9 years old and then wanted to take your anger out on a bunch of innocent Darkeners you've never met before. You want to know why I warned them, because you're freaking unpredictable. Earlier I had you at arrows point and if you dared to go through with your threat to Lancer, I would have shot you with it. I might have had a breakdown earlier but that doesn't mean I'm going to just stand there and let you hurt innocent people. And as long as you don't get your crap together, I'm going to continue to protect people from you! So buzz off my back!"

After I got that out of my system, I walked on ahead. 'She irritates me beyond words. She needs to understand I'm not going to go along with her way of thinking.'

Susie luckily didn't say another word as they all followed me. Ralsei walked beside her, wanting to keep her company even though he was till shaken up about what went down before the battle. I could hear Kris jogging up to me, staying by my side silently for a moment before adrresing me with that calming voice of his.

"... Doll... are you ok? You... really gave Susie a peace of your mind, huh? Not that I mind." I sighed and answered him softly, to not let Ralsei and Susie hear. "Susie's just... a lot. She's so stupporn.." Kris chuckled. "Seems like something you two have in common.~" I sent a glare his way but decided not to argue, knowing that it was true. "I know you told me to ignore her actions but I'm also a guard, Kris. I protect people. And if she puts others in danger with her acting like this, then I'm going to step in. She needs to know that what she's doing is not ok..."

"I totally agree with you. Susie can be kind of crazy sometimes. And I get where you're coming from but... what if Ralsei is right and... there's some good in her?" I gave him a confused look. He put his hands behind his head as he continued talking.

"Back at home, I have a friend who thinks very similar to how Ralsei does. She always believed that there has to be some kindness in her. No idea where she got the idea from. We all thought she was crazy for even thinking it but... now... I don't know..." I looked down in thought.

"That friend of yours... Is she close with Susie?" Kris seemed to think about it for a moment. "I guess..? They aren't friends. Susie isn't friends with anyone but Noelle has a... softspot for her." Kris put quotation marks at softspot. I tilted my head. "A softspot?"

"You know, as in..." Kris formed a heart with his fingers, grinning softly. It took me a few second before I gasped very loudly, earning a weird look from Ralsei and Susie. I put a hand over my mouth before whispering to Kris. "You mean, as in... a crush? Are you sure?" He chuckled.

"Oh believe me, doll. I'm a very observant guy. I don't miss thinks like that. It's how I'm able to read you so well.~" I blushed at the last part, hitting him in the shoulder. "Stop it!"

He gave a short laugh, making my heart flutter. 'Ugh, what's wrong with me!! This is to frustrating! These two Lightners are going to be the death of me -_-'
