Today was really boring, it was just me. Lilly had her clubs to go to and Jack, well uh. I don't know where he is. Probably just hanging out with his friends. *sigh*

"Akio? Are you in here?" Maria knocked on the door. "Yeah, come in." I told her. She walked in with a weak smile on her face. "What's wrong?" I asked her. "It's about your mom and dad, they wanted me to give you a message but. They still don't want you to see them." She told me. 

"Why!? It's been 13 years! Why can't see them!?" I asked with anger. "Well, *sigh* read this." She handed me a letter. 

I opened read. 

'Dear Akio

This is your mother. You know me and your father loves you very much, so we need you to know this before it's too late. We've decided your old enough to know, Akio me and you father couldn't see you because we are in the middle of a war.

The same goes for Jack and Lilly, their parents wanted to see them just as bad as we want to see you. But we can't have the risk of loosing you all. 

I hope you understand. We love you

I couldn't believe it. They're in a war!? But.. How why? "Akio are you ok?" Maria asked me. "So that's where they've been, after wondering all these years why they left! They were in a war the whole time!?" I yelled. "It's like they don't even care how that would affect me! How it would affect Jack and Lilly too!" 

"Akio they're doing this for you! If they would have stayed, this planet would have been destroyed." Maria told me trying to calm me down. "They couldn't have told me sooner!? Why weren't they just honest with me?" I asked.

I ran out the orphanage. I could hear Maria calling after me, but I don't care I have to find Lilly and Jack!

Timeskip

I could see Lilly walking down the street with Jack, looking like they were arguing about something. "Jack, Lilly!" I called after them. "Hey Akio, what's up?" Jack asked me. "Did you know what happened to your parents!?" I asked. 

They looked at each other. "They couldn't take care of us, we don't know where they are." Lilly told me. "Your lying to me!" I told her. I've always had a talent for telling when she lies. It's all in her body language and how she looks at me. She looked at Jack. 

He sighed and looked at me. "What do you think happened?" He asked. "Well I found out that my parents are fighting in a damn war!" I told him "So Mari finally told you huh?" He asked. "What?" I asked. "I don't know why she didn't tell you sooner. We were told 5 years ago." He told me. 

"But she told me my parents gave me that letter recently!" I said to him. "Looks like they didn't want you finding out anytime soon, but why did they wait this long?" Lilly asked.  "I-I don't know." I told her. 

"Maybe they just didn't want you to worry." She said. "Yeah whatever." I said with slight hint of sadness. "Hey you know, your not in this alone. Our parents are fighting to, they're risking their lives to keep us and you safe." Jack told me. "That's just it, they could die." I said to him. 

"True but, they're doing this for you and for the sake of this world. If they didn't fight I think you'd know what would happen." Lilly told me. "No I really don't! Because no one trust me enough to tell me the truth around here! Just who are they fighting!?  Who started the war and why!?" I asked furiously. 

"We don't know that much. We just know that their out there somewhere." Lilly said looking at the sky. I was still mad about this, but they are trying to save us but why couldn't they tell me? I'm their daughter! And Jack and Lilly have been keeping secrets from me too that they could have told me, I mean were best friends. So why!? 

I don't know what to believe in anymore.  

Later that day~

I went to the place my mother had gone when she was younger. I have to admit it was nice, very quiet just how I like it. I looked up, the trees were dead, waiting for their new leaves to come in. Those it was still a beautiful place. I closed my eyes and listened to the sounds around me. 

Then I heard: "Trust in me~ Just in me~" Someone singing. I look around no one was there. I decided to follow the singing. 

I finally reached the source of the singing. I man singing a ever light beautiful song. It filled my ears I had to hear more of it.  He turned and looked me in the eyes.

"Trust in me, Just in me

Shut your eyes, trust in me

You can sleep, safe and sound    I started to feel tired.

Knowing i'm around

Sleep into silent slumber

Sail into silent slumber      I closed my eyes

Slowly and surely your senses 

Will cease to resist

 He looked into my eyes one last time before

 I fell to the ground, 

unconscious.
