Emotions?
(Ok real quick before you read there is only going to be 3 chapters left after this, sorry but making sequels aren't as easy as I thought it would be. But I hope you've enjoyed so far)
"Akio, you know there's no need for that hat thing and contacts right?" My mother asked me. "Oh No, I suppose you are right." I removed them both. I had known what my eyes were like, but they never looked like hers. "Mother? Why are my eyes different from your's?" I asked.
"It must have been a birth defect." She said blankly. I just nod. "U-um mother what if i'm not ready?" I asked. "Excuse me?" She said eyeing me.
"You are one of the most highly trained irken at your age!" She told me. "I know but, they will be here in a few days and. I'm...scared?" I said confused.
"Scared!? You are part of the great Irken empire! You show no fear!" She yelled. "I know but-" "Enough! I've had it! You show way too many emotions, you really are like a human!" She said. "No! I'm nothing like them! They are horrible weak creatures! I'm not...like that." I said tearing up.
She just turned away. "Why am I like this?" I asked. "Child you ask too many questions! Now return to your pod! You obviously need to be reminded why you are here!" She commanded. "Nex! Come here." She said darkly. "Take her to the pod units she needs to be *ahem* handled." She told him.
He smirked. "As you say my commander. Come along Akio." I followed him.
I knew what was coming, every time I disobey an order or do something out of hand I'm taken to the pod units and have horrible punishments done to me. Mostly including shocking and injections.
Today Injections. "Look Akio, you must learn to watch what you say." Nex told me. I nodded. "Just get over with." I said. He injected me with X Chemical. (IDK) Damn it hurt!
But the pain went away and all I could feel was...nothing. That's all I ever feel lately. As if nothing else really mattered. Is this what she wants, for me to not care about anything outside of my mission.
Well if that's what she wants then so be it! After a few hours I stood up and walked back to my mother. I saluted her. "Hmm?" She tilted her head.
"Ma'am, how much longer should I wait to get rid of them?" I asked with an emotionless voice. She smiled wickedly. "Now that's the Akio I need! Only a day away~" She said giggling silently.
I saluted once more then left. I sometimes wonder feel if it even matters if we kill them, and why me? There tons of us.
So why only me?
