Mari-
After the last bell rang, and before she could lose her new-found confidence, Mari grabbed Adriens hand as he started walked away.
"I need to talk to you." She said, amazed at the calm voice she heard from her mouth. "Can you wait a second?"
"Uh... sure I guess." came his confused reply.
When everyone else was gone Mari said, "I'velikedyouforareallyreallylongtimeandIhopeyoureciprocatemyfeelingsisreciprocatetherightwordIdon'tknowsoanywayiwouldreallyliketoknowifyoulikemebackit'sokayifyoudon'tI'llbefineso-" She rambled until Adrien held up his hand, "I'm sorry Marinette, I like someone else."
Mari resisted the urge to run out the door. "Oh-oh that's okay. L-l-like i said it doesn't bother m-me, i-i-it was j-just a crash, i mean crush anyways."
She plastered a fake smile on her face and nodded her head when he said, "If it helps, it's not Chloe."
That was her only comfort as she walked normally out of the room, and ran sobbing all the way home.

Adrien-
"I hope Mari's okay. Ah better not worry about her, she said she was fine, and Mari's never lied to me before. Better get to thinking of a pla-" Suddenly screams erupted from the nearby park. "Plagg, claws out."

He arrived at the park at the same time as Ladybug. Turned out a teenager had been dumped unceremoniously when he proposed to his girlfriend, and was akumatised. Chat broke the engagement ring, LB did her thing, and before even the paparazzi had time to appear, he turned to her and said, in all seriousness, "Ladybug I love you with all my heart, please accept my feelings and allow me to show you who I am."
LB said, tears in her eyes, "You had to choose today didn't you, it had to be today!!!" She was nearly shouting now. "First the boy I love rejects me, then my best friend trys to win my heart. GO AWAY!!" She runs crying, leaving Chat in shock as tears streamed down his face.
And yet even as his mind rapped itself around the fact that she only saw him as a friend, he swore revenge on the one who broke his lady's heart.
