An important lesson I had to teach myself was that happiness doesn't come in sizes or intensity. It isn't too big and it isn't too small. It is simply what gets you out of bed in the morning. You take what you get and one day it'll be enough. One day you won't have to turn that music up for the wrong reasons. One day you won't have to dry clean tear stains. One day you won't have to look for it in all the places you shouldn't be. One day, it will come from within, and that day you'll be glad you stayed. So wait for it, that happiness that gets you out of bed.
