Shivaay and Arjun rushed to the hospital with the baby .

Arjun went inside the ward while shivaay waited outside . Things were happening so fast and he couldn't even breathe actually. First , the time and now this child is parentless ,just because of him. Tears ran down his eyes and he couldn't even stand . He dragged himself to the washroom and surrendered to his guilt .

' Please be careful next time , now there's nothing to worry . If the cut was deep then ... take care . The medicines should be available in the store nearby .'

Ar-  but she didn't cry like , I mean there was no noise . Is that because

' We noticed it too , I don't think it is because of this injury . Don't worry we took scans to confirm if there's anything serious . She's yet of vocalize , that's it. ' .

Ar- thanks .

Arjun felt relieved only then , of course it shook him when she spoke the word deep and went quiet . He quickly grabbed the prescription and carried the baby with him . Shivaay was not found outside , Arjun was already scared like hell and why did he have to disappear now .

Ar - so what's your name baby?

She just kept quiet .

Ar- as expected .

Arjun nodded  and went to the pharmacy quickly.

Please bring your own change , he read this written on the board and it struck him suddenly. The Rupee note he carries is not this timeline's,  note denomination is different here . Ok G pay then , wait, not even that .

Ar- shivaay ...! Where are you man ?

The store member watched his  strange reaction,looked like he was on the verge of crying already .

' excuse me ? Do you want anything? It's a long queue '

Ar - uhh....no sorry yeah I... I'm sorry ,will be back in a minute .

She had already slept on his shoulder, he stood like stone in one place not knowing what to do . He then decided to search for shivaay first but that's when he noticed a familiar face at the hallway and ran to him .

Ar- excuse me , hey.

The person turned back on hearing this and Arjun showed all his teeth .

' yes ?'

The other one had no clue , and Arjun was late to realise this , yes he had seen him in college but was it reciprocated ? No maybe. Ok he felt awkward for grinning at a stranger like that , well , not completely a stranger . Atleast for the other person he is a stranger .

' what is it ?'

Ar- uhh I was thinking if you could lend me some cash for the medicine , I forgot to bring my wallet . And , I will

' for the child ?'

Ar- yeah .

' ok , how much ?'

Ar - I don't know , one sec

He took the prescription out to check it ,  he  would've almost dropped the baby if not the other man had held her at the right time.

' Careful !'

Ar - sorry , yeah so it's just a couple of medicines. I'm not sure

' Ok , here '

He handed over a thousand rupee note and Arjun thanked him immediately .

Ar- you're the best , thank you .

' take care of the child .'

By then his wife came and told that the doctor was calling them inside , he left .

Arjun bought the medicines and started searching for shivaay who was nowhere found . He then chose to check in the men's washroom once .

Ar- you sit here like a doll , I'll be right back .

He made her sit on a chair there and went to check . She seemed to have woken up by then , she remained idle and put for a few minutes but suddenly started to cry .

With the support of the arm rest she climbed down slowly and took baby steps towards the back entrance , still crying . She seemed scared and lost in that moment .

Arjun was shocked when he saw shivaay crying inside the men's room.

Ar- shivaay !

S- I killed them Arjun .

He cried holding his head .

Ar- it was an accident, and they drove past the speed limit.  It's not your fault captain .

But shivaay looked inconsolable.

The nurse who was passing by noticed the child standing alone without anyone at the backside entrance and went to check. On finding her crying she carried and juggled her .

' hey it's ok baby , let's get you to your parents.'

And suddenly out of nowhere her voice broke out and she cried so loud and so bad . The nurse thought she was badly hurt somewhere .

' must be this wound '

The baby kept leaping off her hold to get down , but she didn't let though.

' what is it ? ...the parents these days '

She was ready to go back inside when something caught her attention . Immediately hiding herself behind a pillar there , she peeped a bit to check the car . She was horrified on finding it and quickly went inside to call the security booth on the front gate .

Thankfully the security had a long rifle with him . The place was crowded when they caught some robbers inside the car , threatening a pregnant lady and a driver . Even some from the public helped to control the theives , and bring the hostages to safety .

But soon her water broke and she cried out like anything in pain , the driver  panicked and immediately rushed her to the labour ward with the help of the nurse who had the baby .

S- how is she now ?

Ar- fine , patched up the wound . But there's something wrong with her vocal chord I guess .

S- what !

Shivaay freaked out immediately.

Ar- no no, not because of the accident. By birth maybe , she hardly makes any noise .

S- but she's big enough right ?

Ar- yeah ...wait  , where is she ?

Arjun looked terrified on finding the chair empty.

S- you left her here ?

Ar- yes .

S - when no one was around ? Are you insane !

Ar- shivaay wait , you were missing and I

S- and you just left her like that , how can you be so careless with the baby Arjun !

Ar- really? First thing , I had no idea why and how we got into this freaking town here and you go AWOL too , how am I supposed to react ? Sorry I failed to be the  mother of this century . Come on , I just finished school . I was scared ok , and you vani

Before he could complete ranting , shivaay did suddenly disapper into thin air , just like that . Arjun was feared like crazy now .

Ar- shed! Shivaay ....!

' Where did they go , leaving the baby! I was busy attending the labour ward , what were you doing . You are answerable to the Dean now '

' I'm sorry doctor  I didn't notice .'

' Don't give me excuses and go find them , or else we have to report to the police by evening .'

' God what am I gonna do?'

'Calm down first , I'm sure none is gonna leave their child behind . I'll take her and check around , I know how he looks , I remember seeing her with her father in the hallway  ,you go check that side . '

' Ok '

The nurse tried all her ways to calm the baby but nothing seemed to work , crying continued , it was so loud and hard they all thought the baby would drain out and faint at some point. She walked towards the back entrance to check that side once again but the baby's sudden silence made her halt right there.

He turned back on feeling someone grabbing his shirt, the shoulder portion of it . The nurse remembered him from before .

'  Oh Thank God you're here! how can you be so irresponsible sir ? '
