"i hate him," jimin said, pulling down the collage of photos that he put up of joon and him one by one, angrily.
areum and hoseok were watching him from the bed, completely unsure of what to do about the situation.
"don't say that," areum said, "you don't hate him."
jimin glared at her.
"yes, i do."
he didn't.
jimin moved to his closet now, grabbing each of namjoon's shirts one by one and throwing them onto the floor.
"he just let me walk away. he hasn't called... hasn't come by," jimin said, laughing sarcastically, "he doesn't give a shit about me."
areum and hoseok just looked at each other.
"jimin... maybe you should call namjoon. he could come here... we could all talk-"
jimin stopped him.
"over my dead body," jimin said, "after how he treated me? hell no."
it was very evident that jimin wasn't himself, but neither one of them knew what to do to fix it.
"what did namjoon say, jimin?" hoseok asked, "like... what got you so upset?"
jimin shook his head, struggling to get one of joon's shirts off the hanger
"just a bunch of fucking bullshit. 'we'll facetime, jimin!' or 'we can visit!' and all that crap."
the two looked confused.
"well... what would you have wanted him to say instead, jimin?" areum asked, softly, trying not to anger jimin any more than he already was.
jimin looked over at them.
"oh.., i don't know," he started, "maybe.., 'i'm not going!" or 'hey, jimin, i know i'm going really far away for three fucking years, so why don't you come with me anyway so that our relationship won't go to fucking shit!'" jimin said, getting angrier the more he spoke.
the two watching raised their eyebrows.
"so.., you're mainly upset because namjoon didn't offer to bring you with?"
jimin nodded, still frustratingly ripping clothes out of his closet.
"well.., jimin, did you ever think that maybe namjoon never asked because... he didn't want to ask," hoseok said, questioning.
"yes," jimin said, with a bitter tone, "that's why i'm fucking mad."
areum looked at hoseok with a glare, then back to jimin.
"i think what hoseok is trying to say here... is that.., did you think about how maybe namjoon didn't ask because he was trying to be considerate of you... and your future?" she asked, "i mean... knowing namjoon, i'm sure he didn't even consider that as being an option. he wants what's best for you, you know?"
and jimin was barely listening, still intently focusing on removing any signs of namjoon from his room.
"you know," hoseok spoke up, "the reason you were pushing him so hard to go to snu... even though you didn't want him to go?"
he paused.
"i'm sure he wants you to go with him, jimin. i'm sure he'd love to have you there. of course he would. but... he's trying to do what's best, don't you think?"
and jimin simply did not want to hear it right now.
he wasn't able to listen to reason when he was still so angry.
"listen," jimin started, "him doing that to me... him putting me in that position... that was fucked up, okay?"
and jimin was clearly sad... and hurt underneath all that anger, it was written all over his face.
"so.., if you guys want to be all 'team namjoon' and just continually come to his defense over every fucking thing i say, then go ahead," jimin said, going back to what he was doing, "just leave. go to his place, then. i'm over this."
jimin was acting so off... so not himself.
it wasn't him at all and areum and hoseok were so concerned.
"we'll give you your space, okay?" areum said, "you can text us if you need anything."
and jimin just shrugged it off, clearly just wanting them to go.
areum and hoseok just looked at each other, then made there way out, hesitantly.
it didn't feel right to stay, but it didn't feel right to go, either.
as soon as they made it out the door, hoseok spoke up.
"should we like... call his mom... or something?" he asked, the two of them walking to their car with an uncomfortable atmosphere around them.
"no..," areum said, "i mean... he just needs to calm down. he needs to talk to namjoon when he's more levelheaded and they'll work it out."
hoseok just nodded.
there was silence for a second, before hoseok spoke up again.
"it was weird... seeing jimin like that," he said, "i mean.., he's usually so sweet."
she nodded back.
"i know," she said.., "it was... weird. we can check on him in a while if we don't hear anything, but i'll call namjoon tomorrow and see how he's doing."
hoseok agreed with the plan and they finally made it to the car.
they got in and hoseok hesitated before putting the keys in the ignition and starting it up.
"do you think they'll actually break up?" he asked, feeling like it was almost illegal to say out loud.
and areum paused, before she spoke up again.
"i don't know."
