Mommy, I want to tell you something
I feel like a rose lying in the middle of the street
Forgotten
By its owner
Who could not notice that
A single rose had slipped off his fingers
And so I was left on the ground
Alone
I tried to scream
To call out to him
But he was out of my reach
I had fallen badly
I was too injured to move
Worst thing mommy
People came by and trampled on me
Some slowly and others quickly with feet that carried them off to unknown destinations
There were others who looked back and saw that I was damaged
But they kept on walking
Welcome to the human world
Mommy
I bled
They didn't see the blood though
Because the cloud watched with pity what went down beneath her
And she cried
I felt her tears heavy on me
I wanted to tell her to stop
Because I was bruised
And I was cold
But I was too weak
She eventually stopped and called the sun to make me smile
But I was a rose
A wounded one
Too damaged
He dried me up
And I had no strength to continue anymore
Mommy
What I meant is that
I have been lying on this bed
Watching the time tick by
Bleeding on the inside
And hurting because once again
My expectations hurt me
And now I don't have the strength anymore
To fight for friendships and love
Because the world did
Not
Love
Me
For reals anyway...
