3 years later,

His sleep was disturbed by soft whispers. He opens his eyes and covering his mouth, he let a yawn out and turning his head other side glances at his wife who was wide awake and was trying to wake him up.

He frowns and looks behind her looking at the time and got confused wondering why was his wife awake this time and disturbing his sleep. He looks at her who was already staring him snuggling to his chest.

His fingers brushed against her head and ran to her hair softly caressing it gently. He stretching his hand turns the lamp on ans looks down at his wife.

He softly calls her name out who peeps out and smiles widely staring at him.

Neil : what happened Jaan? Why are not sleeping? Are you not feeling sleepy? Are you okay?

Avni : Neil I'm hungry. My stomach is rumbling. Can you please make something for to eat?

He disbelief stares his wife and shaking his head thought why can't his wife stop craving midnight snacks. He sighs and immediately got worried when she starts to cry out. He rubs his thumb on her cheeks and calling her name out made her look at him.

Neil : Jaan, why are you crying? Did I scold you or refused it? Please stop crying. You know that I don't like seeing tears in yours eyes.

He wipes the tears off and getting down the bed he took his t-shirt and pulls over his head while slipping the slippers on and looks at his wife who also got down the bed and joined him excitedly.

He shook his head and yawningly loudly waist for his wife to join him. He passed a smile her holding her hand and side hugging her. He kissed side of her head.

They both walked down the stairs and headed straight to kitchen. Neil making his wife sit on the stool looks at her resting his hands on his hips.

Neil : what would you like to have Jaan? What shall I make for you?

Avni thought for a minute and smilingly at Neil she started to list what she was craving to eat right now.

Avni : let me think... oh yes. Pizza, Maggie, chips, noddles... pasta.. ice cream... cake... you know what Neil.. can you please order whole restaurant menu for me.

Neil looked so stunned hearing his wife and chuckles when he heard about ordering whole restaurant menu. He could literally predict his wife wasn't joking about this. She could literally eat a lot when it comes to food especially in this condition.

Neil : Jaan, you can't be serious right now. How will I cook this much food right now? Baby it's 4am in the morning. I can make two packets of Maggie.

Avni :no! I don't want Maggie. It won't fill me up Neil. Neil how can you forget I am again pregnant with your child. I'm not going to eat for myself but our baby you Neil. How can you disappoint our baby Neil. I'm not carving those food but our baby is. I want to eat those foods. My stomach is starving Neil.

Neil sighs and plopping elbow against the kitchen slab and thought what to do next because he knows his wife won't sleep or stop troubling till her stomach is full. He sighs and thinking for a second he looks at her who was impatiently stares him. 

Neil : okay I know what to make. Do you want to some fruits or snacks while I prepare the food?

Avni nodded her head rubbing her stomach and taking her slippers off she stretched her legs out and comfortable. Neil smiles and pecking her head moves to cupboard and shuffling around some snacks for her.

He then took the ingredients out and starts preparing the food whereas Avni stares her husband matching some snacks.

Her eyes twinkles when Neil placed the dishes front of her. Her mouth starts to watery seeing three different food front of her eyes.

In short time Neil managed to make Maggie, chips and pasta with some garlic breads. He also pulls a stood next to her and sat down and smiles looking at her who leaves the snack and was ready to attack on the food. He chuckles and holding her wrist made her look at him.

Neil : Jaan! Food isn't running away so you eat slowly. You don't need to rush. There is no third person who will eat these. While you eat these I'll make some coffee. Do you wish want to ice cream?

Avni : okay! Yes please can I have ice cream in our room. Can I also get ginger tea please?

Neil nodded his head and pecking her head stood up and went to make the coffee. Avni smilingly to herself she starts eating.

Neil making his coffee look at his wife who was relishing the good. He couldn't be happier than this. He couldn't wait to hold his little one in his arm again. He can't wait to cherish parenthood again.

He broken into tears and cried hugging his wife when she announced she was pregnant again. He couldn't hold his happiness and burst into tears hugging her stomach. She's in 5 months of her pregnancy.

His thoughts were disturbed by Avni's voice. He comes out of his thoughts and looks at his wife.

Neil : Jaan, why did you shout? What happened? Are you okay?

Avni : yes Neil. I'm so stuffed now. Can you please me carry me to the room? I want to lie down.

Neil smiles and turning the gas off moves to her and with thumb she wipes corner of her mouth and pecking her head scoops her in his arms and walks to their room.

Pushing the door with his legs, he enters inside the room and was about to put her down the bed when she stops him. He looks so confused looking at her.

Neil : I thought you wanted to lie down sweetheart.

Avni : I did but not here. I want to go to balcony and cuddle into your arms. Please can we go out?

Neil : how can I say no to you Jaan, but it's cold so no ice cream for you. You're already stuffed so we will sit out and talk.

She looks at him and was about to argue but seeing his stern face she stayed quiet and snuggles into his chest as he walks to balcony and placed her on a couch.

He wraps her a blanket around her shoulder and pecking side of her head he walks out of the room.

He comes back holding two cup of coffee. He sits beside her and hands her a cup who refused it to drink it. He sighs and starts drinking his coffee.

He smiles when he felt his wife snuggling into his chest and wrapping the blanket around his body.

He placed his cup down and wraps his arm around her shoulder and glancing at her pecks her head.

Neil : what are you thinking Jaan?

Avni looks at him and smiles snuggling into his chest and placing her legs on the table.

Avni : I'm thinking about our relationship and the journey Neil. How beautiful we have created our own world with our small family. We are going to be parents of your little one once again Neil. Our Ansh and Ira is going to have a sibling. 

Neil smiles and nodded his head and thoughts how truly he is blessing to have this wonderful family.

They started to talking their past. In last years a lot of things changed but their love grew stronger.

Neil looks down and smiles when he found his wife sleeping. He pecks her head and putting her legs down slowly gets up and picking her up in his arms walks to room and putting her down on the bed covers her with duvet and kissing her head whispers.

Neil: goodnight Jaan. I love you so much.

He headed to his side and closing the lights he closed his eyes pulling his wife closer to him and slept.

Next morning slipping out of bed and sneaks out of the room and walks to beside room where his kids were sleeping. He pushed the door and enters inside and found them still sleeping. He smiles seeing how they were sleeping.

The duvet on the floor and their legs on top of each other and Aadhira on Reyansh almost crushing him.

Neil chuckles and picking the duvet covers them and pulls Aadhira away from Reyansh and kissing their head quietly walks out of the room.

He walks down the stairs and decided to make breakfast for them before they get and keep him busy. Since it's Sunday morning and the twins normal sleeps in and giving more time for Neil to arrange most of the things.

Neil doesn't let a butler work on Sunday as he loves spending his time on Sunday with his family. He has given all the butter day off.

Neil shaking his head and heading to kitchen and starts preparing for breakfast. He was so engrossed didn't notice when Aadhira and Reyansh walks to kitchen and starts pulling Neil's trouser.

Neil comes out of his thought and looks down when he heads them shouting his name out. He smiles and picking them up makes them sit on the slab.

Cupping their faces kissed their cheek and wished good morning.

Neil : good morning my precious Jaans.

Aadhira : good morning papa.

Reyansh : good morning papa. What are you making? It smells so good.

Neil : can you guest what I am making? It's your favourite.

Aadhira : pancakes with strawberries and cream.

Neil smiles and nodded his head . He turns the gas off flipping the last pancakes and looks at them whose mouth were watering seeing the pancakes.

He chuckles and taking the apron off and walks towards them.

Neil : my babies must be hungry so why don't we freshen up then eat this delicious pancakes.

Reyansh and Aadhira nodding their head and jumped down the slab taking Neil's help and rushed outside of kitchen. Neil chuckles and follows them.

Neil set the table with pancakes with their favourite fruits and cream with hot chocolate. Neil looks at them who ran taking their seat. Neil serves them and sitting down beside Reyansh watched them eating with a smile.

Neil went to take shower whereas Aadhira and Reyansh sat on the bed beside Avni and watched Avni who sleeping. Their eyes landed on Avni's stomach and giggles seeing her stomach.

Aadhira : can we wake mumma up?

Reyansh : we shouldn't? Mumma looks so tired. Let her sleep.

Aadhira looks at Avni then at Reyansh and nodding her head but they didn't noticed that Avni was already woken up and was smiling at their conversation.

She opens her eyes and looks at them. Aadhira and Reyansh smiles when they saw Avni awake.

Aadhira : mumma. You are awake. Good morning mumma.

Reyansh : good morning mumma.

Avni smiles and sitting up gestures them to come closer and kissing their cheek she wished them back.

Avni : good morning my babies. When did you both wake up? Did you have breakfast?

Reyansh : yes mumma. Papa made us pancakes. It's so yummy. You missed it.

Aadhira : yes mumma. I had three. It's so good.

Avni : how sad? I missed it. Mumma is sorry. I haven't been giving you both time.

Reyansh: it's okay mumma. We understand. You have a baby in stomach. Papa told us not worry you.

Avni smiles seeing how understanding and caring her kids is. She was so blessed to have them. Her eyes falls on Neil who comes out of washroom and looks at the trio.

Neil : did I miss something? What were you talking out? Is my Jaans complaining about me to their mumma.

Avni smirks and thought to pulls Neil's legs. She whispered something to their ears and looks at Neil.

Avni : why is my babies complaining about you Neil? I won't have you bossing my babies.

Neil shook his head and jumping on the bed and pulling Aadhira and Reyansh over him and starts ticking them. The laughter echoed in the room.

Neil : am I bossing you two? I made you pancakes yet you dared to complain about me. You don't love papa.

Aadhira : no papa. I love you. I wasn't complaining. It's was Bhai.. I didn't say something.

Reyansh: no papa. She's lying. I also love you.

Neil : I'm not a fool. I know you both.

He continues to tickle and in between he glanced his wife who was smiling at them. He winks at her and looks back at the times who also starts tickling him.

Neil burst out of laughing and rolls on his stomach and holds their hand looking at them.

Neil : what are we going today? What's the plan?

Like every Sunday the twins plan out what they want to do as a family. Reyansh and Aadhira looks at each other and smiles looking back at Neil.

Reyansh : papa can we visit dadu, Dadi and Bebe then family picnic.

Aadhira : yes! It will be so much fun. Picnic and ice cream. Wow. I can't wait.

Avni and Neil chuckles seeing their daughter having obsession with the ice cream just like their mother.

Reyansh and Aadhira opening the door rushed inside the Khanana making Avni and Neil shout at them.

Swetha and Bebe who was sitting in living room got shocked and happy when they heard their voices and stood up hugging them.

Swetha : oh my god. I wasn't expecting this surprise. What do you want to eat or drink?

Reyansh : Dadi can we get your special drink?

Aadhira : yes Dadi. Where is dadu? I don't see him.

Bebe : look there he is.

The twins turns around and looks at Prakash who climbs the stairs and hugs the twins.

Prakash : I had to come down when I heard voices. I missed you two so much.

Reyansh and Aadhira smiles and surfing beside Bebe and Prakash starts to watching tv and talking to them whereas Neil and Avni holding hands walks inside and wasn't shocked seeing their parents not acknowledging their presence.

Neil clears his throat to gain their attention after making Avni sit comfortable and also sat beside her.

Neil : didn't someone miss us too? Did you forget we also exist Bebe& dad?

Bebe : i definitely didn't missed you Neil. I might have missed my Avni but not you.

Everyone chuckles including Avni and Neil shook his head seeing his family drama.

Swetha comes with a tray with drinks and snacks for the twins. She placed it one the coffee table and sat beside Neil.

Neil smiles looks at his mother and placed his shoulder on her lap.

Neil : mom did you miss me? I missed you so much.

Swetha smiles and ruffles his hair and looks at Prakash who shook his head seeing his son getting jealous.

Swetha : how can I not miss my son? I missed you Neil.

Neil smiles and smirks looking at his Bebe and father who just chuckled and looks back at the tv.

They stayed at khanna mansion till evening and were ready to leave to have a picnic on a beach where Reyansh and Aadhira changed their mind and wanted to have a sleepover with their grandparents.

They couldn't say no so after picnic on beach Neil was going to drop them back at khanna mansion.

Bidding bye to them they left and settling in their car , Neil drove to a beach. On the way they brought some snacks and drinks.

The car was blasted with music and Neil along with Aadhira and Reyansh starts humming along. Avni chuckles at their craziness and resting her head on Neil's shoulder closed her eyes.

They arranged picnic set up on beach with drinks and snacks laid on the blanket and taking their shoes off and sat down.

Reyansh and Aadhira after filling their stomach decided to play leaving their parents alone.

Neil looks at his wife while shifting closer and pulling her closer to him. He pecks her head and looks at his kids running behind each other.

His other rested on her stomach and gently caressed it. He softly calls her name out. She tilts her head and looks at him with a smile on her face.

Neil : they look so happy Jaan. They are blessing to us. I love you so much Jaan. I love our little unborn baby. I can't wait to hold this one in our arms.

She smiles and felt her eyes watering as she watched Reyansh and Aadhira who was splashing water on each other.  

Avni : I love you too Neil. We are blessed to be their parents. I love you so much. Thank you for everything. You're the best man, a father and husband. I couldn't imagine how my life would be without you. I love you so much.

He smiles and pecking her head and bends down pecking her stomach too and mumbles I love you too.

They both smiled when Reyansh and Aadhira come there and joins hugging them and shouted I love you.

They all smiles and stayed hugging each other. This is was their journey from childhood to husband and wife. They made it work through all the hurdles and obstacles in their life and stayed together.
