Six months

His sleep broke and opening his eyes. He adjusted himself and ran his hand on the other side finding his wife. He frowns feeling the bed empty. He jerkingly sat up rubbing his eyes and wondered where could she have gone middle of night.

He groans in sleep and roaming his eyes around the room hoping he would find her but unfortunately when he didn't find her in the room or heard any noises coming from the washroom knew something was fishy.

He glanced looking at the clock and wondered where could his wife gone at 2am in the morning. He yawns loudly and climbing down the bed looks at door that was slightly opens. 

He walks out of the room and frowns seeing the darkness. He turns the lights on and climbing down the stairs he look through the kitchen door and found the lights on.

He shook his head and realised whets his wife must be hiding middle of night and snacking away. He made his way to kitchen and stood by the entrance against the door. He leans against the door folding his arms resting it against his chest and watched his wife who struggled reaching up to the higher shelf.

He clears his throat and smirk when she turns around looking scared being caught. He chuckles and starts walking towards her.

She starts taking a step back till her back hits the slab. He smirks and traps her between the slab and himself. He placed his both hands either side and smirks looking at her who looks down.

He tilts her head up making her look into his eyes.

Neil : what are you doing in the kitchen at this time jean? You were supposed to sleeping not hunting in kitchen. Say something jaan.

Avni : I was.. I was feeling hungry. I wanted to eat something yummy.

Neil: again craving Jaan! How long will you do this? You had dinner before you slept.

She slaps his shoulder and struggles come to out from his grip.

Avni : I hate you so much. You made pregnant. How is it my fault, I feel hungry every time. It's your babies who feels hungry all the time. You can't always scold me. You're so mean. I don't like this behaviour of yours.

She starts fake weeping drama and Neil shook his head in disbelief looking at her drama. He cups her face and wipes her tears off placing a kiss on her forehead. 

Neil : why are you crying Jaan? I know my babies are troubling you. I'm sorry I should have been little care. What do you wanna eat? I'll make something for you.

Her face lightens up looking  at him. He chuckles at her antics.

Avni : I really want to have noddles... no pizza.. no pasta.. no cake... no fries... no.. my mind is so confused.. can you make everything whatever I mentioned?

She pouts looking at him with doe eyes staring him with a hope. Neil looks like he wanted to bang his head against the wall listening to his wife list of food she was craving to eat. Neil rubs his nape looks at while thinking how to fulfil her wish.

Neil : Jaan... I can make noddles or pasta for now. You can have the rest later.

Avni : no! I want to eat them. It's not me who is craving those foods. It's your babies. Won't you  make it for your babies Neil?

Neil rolls his eyes at her behaviour and walking out of kitchen calls up his security guard and ordered the food that she wanted to eat.

He walks back to kitchen and got shocked finding his wife sitting on kitchen stool eating ice cream.

Neil : Jaan! Why are you eating ice cream? I have ordered the food. You should wait.

Avni : it's okay Neil. I can eat them. I'm hungry. While the foods arrives I thought to have some ice cream. Would you like to have some?

Neil shook his head and crouched down to her level wiping her lips that had some ice cream. He pecks her forehead and watched her eating the whole tub of ice cream.

Neil stood up hearing a doorbell. He cups her face and looks at her.

Neil: Jaan, your food must have arrived. Go and sit in the hall. I'll come with your food.

She nodded her head and wiping her face and hands after throwing the tub in the bin walks out of the kitchen. Neil shook his head and follows her.

He took the food and apologised to the guard for disturbing him. He also thanks him before closing the door and moving back to his wife where sat in hall dreamily wafting for her food to arrive.

Neil placed the bags on the table and sits beside her who didn't wait a second attacking the bags and taking the food out. She took a slice of pizza and took a bite.

Neil watched her eating with a smile on his lips. He loves the moments. It might annoy him the most waking up middle of night and finding his wife in the kitchen to fulfil her craving but was definitely worth it. He was enjoying and cherishing every moment spend with her.

Neil took a tissue and wipes her face. She look at him stuffed a spoon of noddles into her mouth.

Avni: I'm sorry Neil.. I disturbed your sleep again. Please don't scold me.

Neil : it's okay Jaan! You eat. You didn't disturb my sleep. Why would I scold you?

She gives him a huge smile side hugging while still eating. He smiles and pats head dropping a kiss.

Neil clears the mess and scooping his wife in his arms starts climbing the stairs. He shuts the lights off and pushing the door with his foot enters inside.

He lays her down carefully on bed and moves back closing the door . He comes back and looks at her sprawled out on bed looking at him.

Neil : what happened Jaan? Are you not feeling sleepy?

Avni : no! I can't sleep now. Can we watch a movie or you play with me?

Neil: play with you Jaan? What do you want to play?

Avni : I don't know.. I just don't want to sleep.

Neil looks at her and thought of something. He grabs his laptop and comfortable sits on bed with her sitting with pillow behind her back preventing the back pain

Neil : what would you like to watch Jaan?

Avni : let me have a look.

She took the laptop and scrolls down finding a movie when she stopped at one. His eyes widen as he watched her playing one of his movie. He sighs and looks at her.

She leans on his chest and snuggled closer to him. Neil smiles and holds the laptop while watching the movie.

They were half through the movie when he heard her demanding for popcorn. She looks at him cutely.

Avni : Neil.. I want to have some popcorn.

Neil :but Jaan. You had so much food earlier. You can't have popcorn right now.

Avni : please Neil. Your babies wants to eat it. Now don't refuse them.

She knows how get her words get to him. He shook his head and pausing the movie he placed the laptop aside and getting down went to make popcorn.

Turning the kitchen lights o, he took a pan placing it on the gas. He scanned through the cabinets looking for popcorn but couldn't find any. He sighs and thought to do next.

He couldn't go empty hands because his wife will kill if she does get something to eat. Neil sighs and thought of alternative options. His eyes fell on the Maggie packet and smiles thinking she would eat it.

Neil starts making the Maggie and cleaning the mess again he took a bowl of Maggie walks to his room.

He smiles walking to his wife who lays down scrolling down her phone.

Neil : I couldn't find popcorn in the house so I made you some Maggie.

Avni : wow! Maggie. I forgive you this time Neil because you made me some Maggie otherwise I would have killed you.

Neil chuckles and passing the bowl to her to which she starts relishing Maggie. They continued to watch the movie.

Her nose scrunched up when the scene comes up Neil romancing with his co-actress. She didn't liked seeing their closeness. Neil closely watched her reaction and chuckles seeing her getting jealous.

She shuts the laptop and pushed it away.

Avni : I don't this movie.

Neil : you didn't like the movie or someone Jaan?

She glares him eating her Maggie in hurry.

Neil : Jaan! You don't have to be jealous. It's just a movie.

Avni : I don't care Neil! You should distanced yourself from her. How can you romance with someone like that? You have a wife Neil who is pregnant Neil.

Neil rolls his eyes and found it really hard to explain his wife whose feeling betrayed like he divorced her or broke up with her.

Neil took the empty bowl and keeps it aside. He cups her face and wipes those unwanted tears. He kissed her forehead.

Neil: Jaan! You don't need to be insecure. You're way beautiful them. You're beautiful in your way. I love you the way you are Jaan. They don't matter to me. You never hated my work this much. I also know this is pregnancy hormones speaking. I love you Jaan. You're my wife.

Avni wipes  her tears on his shirt and sobbed lightly. She didn't know why she was behaving like that.

Neil : it's okay. Do you wanna sleep? It's very late. I mean it's going to be morning very soon.

She nods her head and lays down. Neil turns the lights off and pulls her in his arms. He pecks her forehead and strokes her cheek.

Neil: sleep Jaan! You look tired.

She closed her eyes hugging him so tightly. She was really possessive over him. Neil smiles and kissed her forehead again and whispers softly caressing her stomach gently.

Neil : goodnight Jaan! I love you both.
