gina had been off work with 'food poisoning' for the past three days and rosa still wasn't completely convinced she was okay to go in today, but gina seemed sure that she was.

'you promise you'll tell me if you're not okay?' rosa asked

'ro, i know you love me but you're so annoying sometimes.'

'you didn't answer my question.'

'ugh, yes,' gina kissed her girlfriend before they left the house. 'i love you a lot, you know.'

rosa smiled, 'i love you too.' she looked over at iggy who was playing with a toy motorcycle, 'come on ig,' she held out her hand, 'i'll take you on a real motorcycle one day.'

the child ran and grabbed rosa's hand before all three of them walked out the door and down to the parking garage.

rosa was driving because she still didn't trust that gina was okay. she dropped iggy off at nursery and then drive to the precinct.

she leaned over and kissed gina, 'see you in 5, love you.'

'love you too,' she watched her girlfriend get out of the car and walk out of her view, before deciding to get out of the car a few minutes later.

as soon as the elevator dinged, people looked over at gina.

'gina! i'm so glad you're back, how do you feel?' amy bombarded the redhead as others also started to make a fuss over her. the kerfuffle lasted for a few minutes until gina was finally able to reach her desk.

the assistant got herself settled in before holt came out of his office. 'ah gina, i am very glad you are well,' he greeted her.

'thanks captain.' she replied before he took a brisk walk from his office to the briefing room.

'where is gina?' holt asked the squad as they were sitting, waiting for morning briefing to start.

rosa immediately worried about the woman she loved and checked her phone just as gina walked into the room.

'sorry sir, i guess i still don't feel great.'

'that is okay, would you like to go home?'

'no sir, i don't think that will help.'

'well i trust you to make your own decision.' holt told her before announcing the morning briefing to the rest of the squad. 'peralta and sergeant jeffords will be out all day gathering evidence for a drug ring. the rest of you must be on standby incase they need help or are in danger.'

'oh we won't need help, me and the sarge have got it.' jake told the squad

'don't listen to him. this is a big case, we probably will need help. just be alert.' jake frowned as the sarge had just opposed everything he'd told the squad

'unless anyone has any announcements, dismissed.'

the squad looked around the room making sure nobody had anything to say before rising from their seats.

rosa wanted to check her secret girlfriend was okay, but of course she couldn't make it obvious that she cared, so she decided to tell instead.

'oi linetti! you good?' rosa yelled from the back of the briefing room, getting most people's attention

gina knew what rosa was doing and played along, 'yeh diaz i'm fine,' she shouted back before swiftly exiting the room, leaving others to follow behind her.

it was just before lunch time when gina decided she would go on a slightly early lunch.

gina: goin for food. be back soon <3
rosa: already? it's only just 12
gina: yeh but i'm kinda hungry
rosa: mkay, i know i asked loads but u sure you're okay?
gina: i'm fine ro, love u <3
rosa: love u too <3

rosa watched as her girlfriend left the bullpen before she continued with the little bit of paperwork she had to catch up on.

barely 5 minutes later, gina walked across the bullpen and down a corridor; rosa guessed she was going to babylon so she would too.

the raven haired woman waited a few minutes before making her was to their secret bathroom. she moved the boxes of files out the way and tried to open the door, finding it was locked.

she knocked on the door, 'gina? you in there?'

'yeh but i'm peeing.'

'ew gines, you have your lunch in there.'

'yeh but i was desperate.'

'whatever.'

it was definitely over 5 minutes later when rosa knocked again. 'gines why can't i come in yet?'

'uhh one sec,' gina fumbled with the lock before the door finally opened. 'heyyy...'

'what did you do.' rosa asked her

'well uhh, i don't think i got food poisoning...'

'what do you think it is? you think it's something serious?'

'kinda...' gina told her

'well did you go to the doctor?'

'i don't need t- ro just shut up for a sec.'

rosa did, whilst also being partially surprised.

'sorry, i didn't mean that. just close your eyes.'

again, rosa did.

'okay, open.'

it took a minute for rosa to realise what was in front of her.

'is that positive?'

'mhm,' gina told her nodding. she was smiling on the inside, but didn't show it incase rosa didn't feel the same

'you're pregnant?'

'yeh, it was morning sickness all this time and then i realised i was a week late.'

neither of them said anything for a minute, waiting for the other one to speak.

'wait you're not mad are you?'

'well i wasn't expecting it... but iggy's cute and even tho it's that idiot's kid i'm not mad.' rosa said, a smile eventually finding its way onto her face

'really?'

'yeh, course i'm not mad.' rosa opened her arms and gina melted into them. 'i love you gines.'

'i love you too rosie, so much.' gina said pulling  the dark haired woman in for a kiss

'how much work have you got left?'

'i was off for three days so quite a lot... but i can just tell captain i don't feel good and you can tell him you're done.'

'that should work.' rosa checked her watch, 'it's 12.15, be in the car at 12.30?'

'mhm,' gina smiled and kissed her girlfriend once more. 'love you rosie.'

rosa smiled back, 'love you too gi.'
