Chapter 2: Introductions

"So, tell me who you are."

The Captain and Sierra stared at each other for a short while, before Sierra eventually (and hesitantly) gave her answer.

"I'm Sierra Harlow, an ally of the Kraken. My father used to work in England before he was killed, and my mother raised me on her own until I was five. And you?"

The captain smiled a bit more.

"Strange of you not to know who I am. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, and I guess I 'own' this fine ship that you just insulted,"

Sierra looked away and stared out onto the sea ahead. She knew that she was stuck here, and so she didn't bother to escape, since there was nowhere to escape to.

"So, when are we setting sail?" Sierra decided to ask, to try and sound interested in whatever the crew was doing.

"Well, I'm glad you asked! Um... well, I don't know yet... maybe today, we're all ready to head off if you are!"

'Was this Captain really bothered whether or not I'm ready to leave? I would've thought he wouldn't give a care in the world' Sierra thought. She replied quietly, "I guess I am ready...", and Jack smiled a bit more, his gaze still on Sierra.

"Then we'll be gone from this place soon! Make yourself comfortable!"

Jack then 'walked' off, and left Sierra alone once more. She ran up to the forecastle deck and looked out onto the horizon. Since she didn't have a spyglass to inspect up ahead, she made do with her bare eyes. One of the crew members questioned her somehow 'odd' behavior, and all that Sierra did was give him a slight dead glare, which sent him away quickly. She was enjoying the small sense of power that she had over the crew, and she knew that everyone was starting to fear her.

Everyone but Jack...

All of a sudden, the anchor was being lifted, and Sierra turned around to see people at multiple stations. Some were sorting the sails, some were at the capstan, and it looked like Don was at the wheel, accompanied by Jamie and another sailor. It was amazing how such a bad-looking crew can be so good at teamwork and such.

"Our next destination, wherever the wind will take us!" Someone shouted, and a synchronized yelling of 'Aye!''s followed afterward. The atmosphere was getting better, and so was Sierra's overall mood, but the anger of being taken from her new camp was still present. She went over to the foremast's base and leaned her back against it. Jack soon went over to her however, and started another conversation.

"How'd you like the ship so far?" He spoke. Sierra didn't reply, and instead glanced at him for a short while before looking back at the horizon.

"Very good point. How about this..."

Jack placed one of his hands under Sierra's chin, and pulled her face close to his. They both blushed.

"What do you think of me?" Jack spoke in a quieter tone. Sierra looked into his eyes for a small while, and soon came away from his face quickly.

"My opinion on you is still to be decided. Goodbye,"

Jack lowered his hands as Sierra walked off quietly, and a small smile appeared on his face. He was starting to develop a crush for her...

The next day...

Sierra sat on the top of a barrel, looking down at the water flowing past the ship. She was calmer that day, and had gotten used to the crew already. Looking out onto the horizon again, she noticed an island up ahead, and rang the nearby bell to let everyone else know. Everyone arrived on deck, and started to work immediately. However, Jack stood at the front of the ship and looked at the island calmly and peacefully. Sierra didn't join him, but she looked at him for a short while before heading to the Captain's quarters to 'gather' supplies, or as much as she could get. She was experiencing another new adventure within the same couple of weeks, and she was more than prepared for what was to come.
