IT'S NOT A DATE
Natsu and Lucy slowly opened their eyes, only to see that they were back in Lucy's apartment, Natsu being on the couch and Lucy in a chair. Gray and Happy sat up and looked around the room. Lucy sighed as she stood up and looked at Natsu, who slowly sat up.
"Natsu? Are you okay?"
Natsu slowly nodded as he climbed off the couch and walked to the kitchen to get some food. Gray wiped away the stray sweat that was rolling down his face. Happy smiled and then flew over to Lucy.
"Lushee, what was that?"
Happy asked, sitting down in front of her. Lucy sighed and rubbed the back of her neck.
"It was just a nightmare Happy. Don't worry about it."
Lucy told him, as Natsu walked back into the living room with a banana in his mouth. Gray sighed and laid back down on the floor, covering his eyes with his arm. They had all been through a lot...but that was too much, even for Natsu and Gray. Lucy stood up, brushed off her skirt, then picked up her celestial keys from her dresser. She started heading towards the door but was stopped, when Natsu grabbed her hand. She turned towards him and sighed, his head was facing the floor and his eyes were covered by his bangs. She figured that he would eventually do this, she knew so much more about him then he knew about himself. He stared at the ground as his grip tightened, he breath getting sharp and quick.
"Lucy. What the hell was that? How'd you know what to do to wake us up?"
Natsu asked, still looking towards the floor, not able to bring himself to look at Lucy in the eyes. Lucy sighed again and slowly removed his hand and opened the front door.
"Sorry guys, but I can't tell you that. Not yet at least."
Lucy said, walking out the door and down the stairs, leaving Natsu, Gray and Happy confused, and angry. She walked to the guild and sat down at the bar, resting her chin on her hands. Mira soon approached her and asked if she wanted anything, getting a grunt in return. Many others said hi to her but she continued to give out grunts. She was already in a bad mood, not being able to tell the others what happened, but she also felt very bad, at the fact that she trusts her dead ansector more than her friends.... No her family at Fairy Tail.
"Lucy. Is something wrong, you seem a bit out of it. Also do you know where Happy, Natsu and Gray are, they've been gone all day."
Mira asked Lucy, Lucy finally looking up at her and shrugging. Mira sighed and continued to do her daily chores, neither her nor Lucy ever really noticing the guild doors opening and three people come in and sit down next to Lucy at the bar.
"Oh there you are you three! We've been trying to find out where you we- ummm."
Mira stopped, a dark aura surrounding the four mages at the bar. Soon everyone felt the tension in the air and looked at Lucy, Gray, Happy and Natsu. Ezra stood up and walked over to them. She was about to put a hand on Lucy's shoulder to get her attention but-
"I told you I can't tell you!"
Lucy exclaimed, standing up. Natsu scoffed and stood up as well, leaving Gray and Happy kind of scared as to where this conversation might lead.
"We are you friends and family! Why can't you tell me what's going on?!"
Natsu yelled at Lucy, who rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"What?! Can't tell me THAT either?! Ha! You don't seem like much of a friend to me!"
Natsu yelled, causing Erza to narrow her eyes and everyone else's attention turn to them.
"Well sorry Natsu! I can have my own secrets you know!"
Lucy retorted. Natsu clenched his fist and glared at her.
"Not when me, Happy and Gray were involved! Tell me WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!"
He furiously yelled, causing everyone to go wide eyed in shock and freeze. Lucy caught her breath and sighed. She put a hand on her hip and put on the straightest face she possibly could.
"I can't. No matter how many times you ask me, I can't. You know that if it were ANYTHING else then I would tell you and the rest of Fairy Tail, but this is different. I was ordered NOT to tell ANYONE."
Lucy yelled, only making Natsu even more furious. Mad enough to light his fist on fire and glare the hardest he could at Lucy, even Erza gulped. Mira stepped closer but was stopped by Master Makarov.
"You have no right to say that! The last time you kept a secret OUR GUILD WAS DESTRYOED!"
Natsu yelled, making Lucy freeze, remembering the Phantom Lord attack. Gajeel sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, as well as Juvia. Ezra looked at Natsu and glared.
"NATSU! LUCY! That's enough! I don't want to hear you two bickering anymore!"
Master yelled, getting Natsu and Lucy's attention. Lucy sighed and Natsu growled. Natsu turned his head to the side, the fire dispersing. Lucy rolled her eyes and walked out of the guild and back to her house. Natsu scoffed and plopped himself in a chair in the far side of the guild.
Lucy opened the door to her apartment then froze.
"Wait... That wasn't me. I don't usually yell at him like that. And he doesn't do that to me."
Natsu tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow.
"I don't usually yell at her like that.... And she doesn't scream at me like that either."
"What's going on here?"
The two mages asked themselves. Natsu then stood up and pushed back his hair with his hands, meaning he screwed up.
"Shit! Luce!"
Natsu yelled, running out of the guild and making the other guild mates very confused.
Lucy slammed the door shut and ran out of the apartment and into the streets. They ran and ran, wanting to get to the other. Natsu ran through crowds of people almost falling twice. Lucy dodged carts and civilians as she ran down the street. She turned a corner and- THUD.
"Ow."
Natsu said as he rubbed his head. Lucy fell back onto the ground and looked up at Natsu. They stared at each other for about two minutes until Natsu shook his head to regain focus. He helped Lucy up to her feet and sighed.
"Sorry for yelling at you earlier. I wasn't thinking."
Natsu apologized. Lucy smiled and nodded.
"Same. But I don't think that was us. I think it was an effect of the nightmare. I don't know yet."
Lucy said, looking at Natsu, who looked at the ground. Lucy frowned and also looked towards the ground.
"Hey..."
Lucy started, getting Natsu's full attention, of course.
"Is what you said true though? Is that how you feel?"
Lucy sadly asked, only making Natsu sigh.
"Honestly, yes."
Natsu replied. Lucy frowned again and continued to stare at the ground. Natsu looked up at her and smiled.
"But I was still wrong. If you can't tell us then alright. I won't push ya, Happy and Gray on the other hand, might."
Natsu said, smiling, only causing Lucy to smile. They chatted for a while before heading back to Lucy's apartment and eating dinner there. They eventually fell asleep again, Natsu sleeping on the couch and Lucy in her bed.

Lucy slowly opened her eyes and sat up in her bed, rubbing her eyes. She then felt something next to her on the bed and chose to inspect it-
"NATSU?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY BED?!"
Lucy exclaimed as she jumped out of the bed and stared at Natsu, who's eyelids slowly lifted to reveal his onyx eyes. His spiky salmon hair was messy and dirty, for the most part. Lucy sighed as he sat up and yawned.
"Mornin' Luce."
Natsu sleepily said, rubbing his eyes and throwing his legs over the side of the bed. Lucy sighed again and put a hand on her hip. He stood up and looked at Lucy.
"Come here. We're washing your hair before we DO ANYTHING ELSE."
Lucy said, pulling Natsu into the bathroom. She told him to take off his shirt and put it on her bed while she got her special shampoo. Natsu took off his shirt and placed it on the bed and then went back into the bathroom, sat on the floor and looked at the ceiling. He knew that he probably shouldn't have snuck into Lucy's room, but he just couldn't help it.
"Okay I got the... sham...poo....."
Lucy said, walking into the bathroom and staring at Natsu. He raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side.
"What?"
Natsu asked. Lucy violently shook her head and opened the bottle of shampoo, turned on the shower and took the faucet.
"Close your eyes. I don't want to get soap in them."
Lucy warned, Natsu doing as told. She washed his hair thoroughly and even used conditioner. Once she was done she grabbed the hair dryer, dried his hair, then brushed it.
"You don't have to do this."
Natsu told her, only making Lucy sigh. Natsu looked at her and saw a very bright smile on her face. She started messing with Natsu's hair, slowly, kind of massaging his head. Natsu stared at the wall as she did so. His face turned a bright pink as she continued to play with his hair. She was giggling and smiling.
"It's so soft!"
Lucy cheered, smiling the brightest smile Natsu has ever seen her have. He then grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand down. She looked at him and blushed. She realized what she just did and didn't regret it but felt weird and awkward about it. She looked at the ground and took her hand away. He sighed and his blush continued to cover his tan skinned face. Lucy stood up and grabbed a towel off the hanger.
"Here. Dry off."
Lucy handed Natsu the towel, Natsu took it and dried off his hair and upper body. He then hung it over his shoulder and stood up. Lucy walked out of the bathroom, blushing her face off. Natsu sighed and put his arm up to cover his blush. Lucy sat down onto her bed and laid down, staring at the ceiling. Natsu came out of the bathroom and sat down on the couch, leaning onto the arm of it. Lucy put her hand over her eyes as she sighed.
"Hey Luce. Can we go out for breakfast? I'm hungry?"
Natsu asked, looking at Lucy, who then sat up and nodded, sighing again. They both got changed, IN DIFFERENT ROOMS, and then left for a restaurant. They went in and sat at a table, ordered their food, got their drinks, chatted and everything. Sooner or later, Gray and Juvia walked into the same restaurant and sat at a table near Lucy and Natsu, being in hear shot. Gray turned towards Lucy and Natsu, started chatting, and even Juvia joined in.
"How's your date going?"
Gray asked, making Natsu and Lucy blush. Gray smirked as they started yelling-
"IT'S NOT A DATE!"
Only causing Gray and Juvia to start cracking up. Natsu then stood up and started bickering with Gray, causing a HUGE scene. Waitresses and waiter came to inspect the issue, the manager came to stop the fight that broke out. Natsu started using his magic as well as Gray. Lucy and Juvia tried to stop in but ended up getting punched. Lucy was sick and tired of the yelling, so she stomped her foot and yelled-
"NATSU! GRAY! STOP BICKERING!"
She screamed, getting everyone's attention, as Natsu and Gray stopped fighting, and stared at Lucy in fear. She glared at them, grabbed their ears and left the restaurant, Juvia following them quickly to the guild. Lucy burst through the guild doors and dragged the two male mages in behind her, saying ow and trying to get out of her grip. Juvia came running in behind them as Lucy brought them over to Erza, who was sitting at a table taking with Wendy. Lucy cleared her throat, Erza turned around and saw the two idiots. Erza stood up, put a hand on her hip and glared at the boys.
"Lucy, what did they do this time?"
Ezra asked, looking at Lucy, who just sighed and tightened her grip on Gray and Natsu's ears.
"They made a huge scene in a restaurant while me and Natsu were having breakfast."
Lucy told Erza, who's face was then covered by an evil smirk.
"Was your date enjoyable?"
Ezra asked, making Natsu and Lucy blush and Natsu stand up.
"IT WASNT A DATE!"
Lucy and Natsu yelled at her, only making her smile and remove her hand from her hip as Lucy let go of their ears. Juvia came over, giggled and then her and Gray walked off to the bar and ordered some drinks, due to the screaming Gray did. Lucy walked up the stairs to the second floor and slowly walked to the door of Master Makarov's office. She took a deep breath and turned the door knob of the room. Natsu watched as Lucy walked into the office and then closed the door, which only made him want to go investigate, which he gladly did. He snuck up the stairs and to the door, sat down and listened. He could hear Lucy clear her throat as she started talking.
"Master... It happened again."
Lucy told him, making Natsu confused.
"Was that why Natsu was yelling at you earlier?"
Master asked, Lucy nodding. Master sighed and got out of his chair and waked towards Lucy.
"My child... What happened with the nightmare?"
"It was different. Natsu and Gray AND Happy were there. But... Something was weird, Natsu was getting mentally hurt or something. We all heard him screaming, no. After he found me, he looked fine, but I could tell he was shaken up. Very shaken up."
Natsu froze, he knew what she was talking about, definitely knew. The nightmare was like no other. It scared Natsu. He was in pain at first, the reason why he was screaming, but eventually he heard one thing. Lucy. Her voice, and only that, not even his own voice. Just hers. He could never find her though, he couldn't see her in the darkness.
"This is bad. Zeref and END are getting to him. Lucy, you know what you must do-"
"I won't! I'm not gonna kill Natsu! You know that Master!"
Lucy yelled, loud enough for every single Dragon Slayer in the guild could clearly hear her.
"Lucy, you don't have to kill him-"
"You want me to kill END. Who is also Natsu if you didn't know!"
Natsu listened in shock, thinking that it would be impossible for Lucy to bring herself to kill him. It would be easy if she tried though, he wouldn't fight back, not to Lucy. Lucy sighed snd took a breath.
"Master. If you want END dead, find someone else to do it. I WILL NOT KILL HIM. Nor Natsu or anyone in this Guild!"
Lucy said, before heading towards the door, making Natsu run and jump off the balcony and onto the first floor again. He sat down at the bar as Lucy came out. Gajeel, Wendy, Natsu, Laxus and a few others stared at her, in shock, but mainly confusion. Lucy crossed her arms and walked down the stairs, and out the large doors of the guild hall.
What would she do? Would she accept Matser's order? Kill END?
