We stood outside the Mines, and I watched the door slowly appear. Gandalf tried several spells before Pippin inquired,

"What do we do now?" Gandalf glared at him.

"Knock your head against them Peregrin Took, and if that does not shatter them, then I will at least have peace from foolish questions!" Pippin locked taken aback, and I took his shoulder.

"Gandalf is frustrated." Merry started throwing rocks in the water, and Aragorn stopped him. Frodo suddenly shot up.

"It's a riddle! What's the elvish word for friend?" Gandalf stood.

"Mellon." The doors crack open and we entered.

We entered the door and I looked down. I shrieked. Skeletons littered the hall in various poses of death. Legolas broke off an arrow.

"Goblins!" We all drew our weapons, until we heard Sam cry,

"Frodo!" Aragorn, Boromir, and Darlene started to fight the beast, until the Watcher dropped Frodo and lurched out of the water. We ran into the Mines, as the entrance caved in behind us.

We entered a tall, long hall. Sam looked around in awe.

"That's an eye opener, no mistake." We walked along into Gimli gave a great sob and raced away into another room. Alyssa chased him.

"Gimli! Eluryan!" We raced after them, and entered a tomb. Gimli sobbed before a grave. I whipped around when drums stared pounding. Aragorn gasped.

"Orks!" Darlene yelled to the hobbits,

"Hobbits! Stay behind Gandalf!" We drew our weapons, and I moved behind Gandalf. The orks poured in, and I started wildly slashing at any foul thing that came close. I turned and saw a hulking shape dominate the room. My attention was competed for when two screams echoed from across the room. Frodo and Darlene both cried out; Frodo in fear, Darlene in pain. I ran to Frodo, who was stabbed by the troll.

"No!" I screamed. The battle died down and we gathered around Frodo's limp form. I gently rolled him over, and sobbed in relief when he gasped a breath. Suddenly I heard Pippin yell,

"Legassa? Legassa! Wake up! Wake up!"
