Chapter 12: Lana
(Above is Lana in Middle Earth)
Our Fellowship stood in a line, awaiting gifts from the Elf Queen. She handed me a packet.
"Use them well," she whispered. As she walked down the line, each of us girl were passed a bundle. I gently unwrapped mine and found a necklace and a little book with a pen. In the front cover it read,
Record this journey so your many-greats grandson may remember, Lana Tolkien.
I smiled. J.R.R.Tolkien would remember this world because of me.

I stepped into one of the boats and squeaked as it wobbled. I tumbled into the water and was barely able to save the book. Frodo raced over and yanked me out. When his hand touched mine I felt my cheeks flush. Darlene shot me a pointed look, and I looked at Aragorn. She blushed as well, her face turning a brilliant red. Isla delicately stepped into the boat next to mine, making Alyssa roll her eyes.
The boats went as such:
In Boat 1, Isla, Legolas, Gimli, and Alyssa squished in.
In Boat 2, Boromir, Merry, Pippin, and Darlene were able to fit.
In Boat 3, Aragorn, Frodo, Sam, and I filled the space.
Pippin insisted on sitting on Darlene's lap, and the two seemed to be playing a game where Darlene poked Pippin, and he had to grab her hand. I saw Aragorn look over several times, and I giggled. Frodo looked over.
"What is it Neavyan?" I shook my head.
"Nothing Frodo." I looked over. "Could you call me Nea?"
"Why?"
"It's easier to say." He nodded, making the boat wobble.
"Don't make me fall in!" I gasped. He chuckled.
"I don't want to pull you out again." I stuck out my tongue at him and he did to same to me. Sam sighed.
"What am I gonna do with you two?" I tilted my head, in mock thought.
"Nothing, Sam. We'll drive you crazy first." We started cruising down the river, and I watched the Sun sink below the cliffs. It was the last time I would ever see the sunset in the way I did then; simply the Sun sinking beyond the horizon.
