Izuku's eyes fluttered open. I was laying on my stomach and something cold hard pressed up against my face and stomach. I opened my eyes to find himself laying on a steel table in a well-lit room. Although my vision was still a little woozy  I was able to make out some objects in the room. Memories of the previous events come Crashing Down causing me to sharply inhale thinking to find water but only finding a sterile dry air. I pushed my torso up using my arms andlook at my hands witch were bandaged. There was a small table next to the one I sat on holding bandages and various medical supplies. There was a sink and cabinets accompanied with jars of Medicine. Several medical degrees  and award certificates saying things  like  most successful surgeries and rehabilitation's. Nervously I look back at my tail that was spread out on the table.

I have three decorative fins, one on my back and two on my sides. Well... I had three.The part of my tail attached to my human torso was wrapped in the white bandage, leaving enough space for my left side fin to stick out but not the other. I packed where the fin should be only to find a sting of pain. And roll onto my back. Failing at my first attempt, because I tried rolling over on the side with my injured fin. Once successfully on my back, I looked around I began plan to escape the out of this place.

Then suddenly out of nowhere with no one the door burst open revealing the female human with the brown hair from earlier. Her eyes widened, and a large smile spread across her face when she saw that I was up. She slowly started backing out of the room closing the door behind her. Not even a second later she began screaming an unknown name
"Shoto!!! Get your ass over here!"

A few seconds later the door be open and the trio that I met earlier stood in front of me. But this time there was an additional member.

I stared blankly at the four humans who stood in front of me. The girl with the brown hair jumped in my face and shouted.
"Hellow! My name is Uraraka!" This
Ida, Shoto and Momo here is the one that patched you up."
She said with a smile. Momo's hand came over the shoulder pulling her away from me so that she could see my face clearly. She motioned to the others to exit the room which they did. Not knowing what she would do  I pushed myself to the corner of the operating table that I laid upon. Frowning she sat at the opposite end of the table. Before looking me straight in the eyes and said "I'm sorry!I couldn't save your fin!"

She looked extremely upset her face was scrunched up in grief. The face read that of guilt. I looked around the room shocked me I had only been in contact with humans for less than an hour and I have already seen so many personalities. Before I had a chance to speak she said in a more serious tone.

"You have suffered severe injuries to your side fins and dorsal fin." I had to "amputate your left fin"

I stared at her and nodded with a smile after all it wasn't her fault she's tried everything she could. She returned a shocked look.

"I didn't think you would be able to" understand me, this makes things much easier.'' She said exhaling the tension in her face dropping.

Just then I realized how long I had been out of the water. The fact that I had not grown legs yet was embarrassing. I looked down at my tail visibly embarrassed. I looked back up at her she wore a slightly confused face, I then mumbled
"Can I have some w-water."

"O-oh o-of course. Uaraka can you" please help me push him to the "Recovery Center. "
And in an instant the door swung open. Momo and Uaraka pick me up and put me in a rolling version of the table I sat on. The only difference was at the back what is a handle and there was small fences around the sides to prevent me from falling off. Although I was too big to fit on it completely, so my caudal fin (the fancy part of the fin) draped over the edge a bit.

Someone tapped my shoulder, I looked over to see who it was.Uaraka was too close to my face for comfort
"So if you don't mind what should I" "call you"

I thought for a moment before replying with a bright wholesome smile.
"You can call me Izuku"

Uaraka ask me mermaid questions all the way to the recovery grounds. But when we made it to the tank I would be staying in I was a bit disappointed, but I accepted it anyways knowing I didn't have a choice.

They jacked one side of the table up causing me to slide down into the pool making a large splash. I wiggled my tail already soaking up the water. From what I could tell I was outside underneath a platform being supported by multiple beams. I looked around to see multiple animals in their own tanks beside me. Most were injured somewhere not, they were most likely sick or were found on the beach. I curled up in the back corner of my tank cautious of my wound and fell asleep rather quickly although I was sleeping for most of the day. Letting the cold water fill my gills and begin filtering the oxygen.
