Wendy hummed as the others prepared for the attack on the tower. She didn't really need to. Her styler was all set, her Staraptor was awaiting her move... she was all set. But the others were another story.

Lapis was finishing putting things to help him on his belt while Barlow and Admiral were getting ready some water bottles. Seafoam was helping Marcus while Ice, Spenser and Rednal worked on their gear. The LKs were in their LK uniforms while Ice and Lapis were in their normal outfits. Seafoam hummed.

"Ice... since you're technically a LK, and this is a stupid question, are you going to need an outfit?" Ice purred at the thought.

"Not sure. I mean... my VK crystal has one for me, but I don't know. My mother mentioned that I might get a LK feather, but until I get that if I do, I think I'll stick with what I have for now." Seafoam nodded as she hummed.

"Well... we're all ready?" They nodded as Wendy smiled.

"Race you guys there."

The group entered the dark aura's area and immediately could tell that it was stronger than before. Wendy noticed the fear as the LKs gulped. She smiled as she looked up at the tower and the air got cold.

"Your day is coming

She raced forward, gaining a yelp of surprise as the sound continued.

She got to the forest as she paused and the sound followed.

"This systems failing
The facts unveiling

She regained her original speed as the sound reappeared.

She paused at the entrance of Vientown as the others caught up. She looked up at the tower as the sound followed.

"I'll fight for you

She smiled as she raced for the tower's entrance.

She paused outside and touched the door as the others walked over.

"I'll fight for you

She smiled as she backed up to let the others to the door. Lapis did the honors and slammed it open with no problem. It alerted Crawford immediately.

"Who's there!?" Seafoam hummed before shouting.

"Your girlfriend telling you to knock it off!" Silence followed as they paused.

"I don't have one!" Wendy smiled before putting a finger on her lips to hush the others. She looked up.

"Are you kidding me?" A stuttering mess followed her words as she smiled. "From what I heard you do have a girlfriend!"

Crawford finally jumped down to see who it was cause voices were not his thing. He almost immediately started climbing up again at the sight. The others followed as he hissed. He sent Marcus and Joel into a wall while the others dodged. Barlow growled as he got to a ledge and the air got cold. Marcus immediately started checking Joel as the sound followed.

"This has to stop now
Whatever it is that you're going through
We'll fix it together, me and you

Crawford snapped instantly at that.

"No! This has to stop now
This thing where you think that you've been my friend
And don't even hear how you condescend

Barlow gulped as he was able to get up to Crawford's level.

Barlow (Crawford): "Crawford, listen (I'm listening)
I know it isn't true (Isn't it?)
Just look into my eyes now (Well?)
I know you feel it too (Perhaps I do)
Crawford, listen (I'm listening)
I swear it's not too late
So before another line gets crossed
And everything we've had is lost
Just... wait"

Crawford paused at that word.

"Wait?
No, I won't wait"

A group of crystals pushed him into the air as the others tried to stop him. He steadied his breathing as he momentarily locked eyes with Lapis before looking away.

"There's a line between the winners and the losers
There's a line between the chosen and the rest

But I've always known just where we stood

Lapis hissed as he tried to make a comeback, only to be cut off.

"And that line between the beggars and the choosers

Well, I'm not being patient anymore"

He arrived back at the top floor as he huffed. A smile crossed his face as he kept going.

"I'm crossing the line!

He went over to the balcony and huffed.

"And for us, if we're over

The spot where he had closed off the stairs exploded as he sighed. He whipped around as the group got up to his level. The VKs smiled at the sight of their saviors as Rednal huffed.

"Yeah? And we're not leaving without our friends. Let's do this!"

Crawford hissed as the two sides collided. Seafoam flew up to where the VKs were with Marcus close behind her. Ice gave Crawford a nice challenge with Barlow and Scarlet's help. Spenser joined the duo in the air as Wendy scanned the field while placing Joel against a wall. The tower had gained several different paths and separated rooms since the last time she had seen it. She noticed a small tunnel near Cedar's cage and smiled. Perfect. She eyed the battle as she paused.

"Staraptor!"

At her call, the large bird appeared near Crawford as he pushed the group back. She smiled as it struck him and sent him flying near the tunnel. She raced forward and swung at him. He let out a yelp of surprise as he dodged her attack and jumped back. She was able to corner him while the others ran over to the VKs. Crawford clearly didn't see her plan as he used her targeted tunnel to get away. She smiled as she raced after him. She hoped that this would be what she hoped for. Somewhere where she could get a voice out of him so that Joel could use it. He had until she trapped Crawford to get up.
