Chapter 50
The fine intricate work on the double doors, that she usually never cared to notice, took her special interest today, while she stood shuffling from one feet to another.
Nervousness thrumming in her heart.
"You can do it." She whispered to herself, taking a deep breath she lifted her hand, ready to knock.
"Come in Drau." Chorused the twins from within startling her, she gazed at her hand, that was still hovering in air, and back at double doors.
How did they know?
There was no way, they could have heard her anklets through such thick doors, than how?
"Come inside and do the musings princess." The teasing tone of the eldest son of Madri, had her jolting, surpised.
What in the heaven. . .
She blushed furiously, pushing the door open.
Usually it were her husbands that came to her room at late hours, this was the first time she was entering theirs.
The thought had nervousness pulsing through her. Maybe she should return, and come later.
The doors were suddenly opened from within, nearly scaring her.
A smirking Nakul gazed at her. Gazing at his wife, who look positively startled.
"Planning to spend the night in the corridor beautiful?" He teased, wriggling his eyebrows funnily.
A giggle passed through her lips, scarlet intensifying. No matter the situation he never failed to make her smile.
He wrapped his hand around her wrist, tugging her in, shutting the door after them.
"Arya how did you both know it was me at the door?" She asked curious.
"We sensed you." He said matter of factly. "Sensed me? How?" She asked confused.
Her eyes searching his, he couldn't help but smile at her innocence.
Turning to face her, taking her hand in his, he placed it over his chest.
The strong rhythmic thud under her fingers, gave her a sense of reassurance and calmness.
The hard feel of his muscles under her soft fingers, had shyness seeping through her.
His lips curled up, she looked most beautiful when scarlet of the roses seemed to have dusted over her cheeks.
His heart felt a different satisfaction everytime her cheeks took that shy shade of crimson, knowing that he was the cause.
It was silly really, but he loved to make her blush.
He adored the soft smile that appeared on her lips, and he specially craved the way she would lower those thick dark lashes.
The half dark moons, against her pristine glowing skin. An epitome of shy beauty.
His beauty.
The possessive ring of the thought had his heart racing faster. His.
She was his.
"You feel this?" He asked, his inky dark orbs locked with hers, the inferno in them kindling, sparkling and blazing, in a warm flame.
The veil of shyness glimmered in them, making his heart melt like butter in a heated pan.
Strange it is how he had been flirting and dating, girls after girls. But none really clicked.
It wasn't a matter that she was his wife, and that's the reason he was falling for her.
No, he was falling for her, because she was Drau. Sweet, innocent, shy girl, who all too slowly sneaked in his heart.
Had there been anyone else, he didn't think he could ever feel, what he felt for her.
For he knew she was made for him. Whenever Sehdev would speak about destiny or pairs being made in heaven.
Nakul was the first one to brush the thought of. But now, with his girl in his arms, he was cent percent sure, that pairs were indeed made in heaven.
That out there was this one girl, who was made specifically for him. And destiny in its way had linked their souls, and fates together.
Interweaving them like two different threads, in single one. Where one began and other ended, no one knew.
"Yes." Her melodic voice whispered, his heart thumping, like it could recognize the voice of it's beloved.
The air around them lightened, building with a warmth.
Butterflies swarmed in her stomach. Warmth unfurling.
"It can feel this." His whispered husky words caressed her soul. She felt him lifting her hand and placing it over her heart.
Incapacitating her of words, making her heart pulse.
The all too familiar trance that he felt around her, leaning in, pressing his lips to her forehead.
A sigh passed through her lips, a sense of content and satisfaction washing over her.
Like suddenly everything in the world was alright, a sense of security kindling in her. With them she felt the safest, and grounded.
Like nothing could ever touch her with them around.
"Let's get you in." He whispered soft words in her ear, nibbling at the soft skin there.
Though he wanted nothing more than to hold her there. He gazed in her eyes with an intensity, that had her blushing ten different shades of scarlet.
Interlacing his fingers with hers, he took the first step in with her. Walking in their room, she was in awe.
The room was coordinately divided in two equal halves. And it didn't take her long to understand which part of the room belonged to whom.
It was a magnanimous room, that was designed beautifully. A huge diamond studded chandelier, hung in the center of the room.
The golden flickering flames of the earthen lanterns in it, magnifying it's majestic appearance.
A piece of moon that seemed have anchored itself in the room.
Panchaali entered, in what she was sure was Nakul's area.
Little miniature plants were placed strategically around the room.
Signifying his love for nature.
Beautiful creepers veining around the frame of the four poster king sized, a deep ebony framed, sturdy bed.
That held dark green silk sheets, duvet and pillows. A matching shade of plush carpet resting on the foot of the bed.
A perfect contrast to the pristine white tiles, that felt icy cool under her feet.
The left wall, next to his bed had a huge mural.
A painted forest, that looked so real, that she almost expected, the animals drawn to run.
Her fingers traced the features of her first husband, who was painted leaning against a tree, a spear in his hand, his eyes watching over his family.
An expression of utter adoration marring his features. But his posture screamed on guard.
The painting was so real, she almost expected, him to speak. Every fine detail was noted.
"Ever the guardian of the family." She whispered, awe and adoration lacing her words.
Thick huge arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her in a hard chest, Nakul rested his chin, on her head.
"Yes. Our very own personal superhero." Love shined through the words of the eldest son of Madri, gazing at his brother.
The man who was their best friend, their father and everything in between.
"You love him alot, don't you Arya?" She asked, despite knowing the answer. "More than my next breath, I love my brothers. They are my everything." He confessed.
Panchaali hummed, smiling at his words.
Her finger next moved to Bheem, who was portrayed sitting at the base of the tree, where Yudhisthir stood.
A mace resting near his knee, a protective gaze over his younger siblings. A platter on laddoos resting near his right hand.
"The protector." She whispered, smiling. "Yup. Who wouldn't hesitate to crush mountains for his family." The eldest twin said softly, affection mirroring his words.
Her gaze moved next to Arjun. Who lay his head on Bheem's shoulder.
His gandiv resting on the side of the tree. A relaxed expression tracing his features, his posture screaming every bit of the warrior he was.
"The pride of the pandavas and the peacemaker." She whispered, a smile tracing her lips. Nakul pressed his lips to her nape, humming at her words.
Her gaze next fell on the twins, who sat opposite to their brothers. Forming a perfect circle.
Where Sehdev had his books on one side, and Axe on the other. Nakul had his sword, and an art brush, next to it.
"The schloar and the planner." The wife of Pandavas concluded, tracing Sehdev's face who was smiling calmly, leaning back casually.
"The artist, prankster and lover soul. Who would go any measures to make his family smile." Nakul's heart jolted, the moment her finger traced his painting.
Nakul was portrayed sitting back, a cocky grin on his lips. But also a softness in his gaze.
Her breath hitched, she didn't know how, but she had been busy in the paintings of the five, she never noticed, the girl in a scarlet lehnga, that looked so much like her wedding lehnga sitting in the center of the five.
"And tell me about this one. What am I trying to potray through this one girl?" He whispered in her ear, his husky voice had butterflies storming in her stomach.
Her heart galloped, anticipation, excitement, and happiness revolved in her, almost overwhelming her.
She tried to speak, but it felt all too much. As she gazed at her identical image on the wall.
"Let me do the honor." He whispered nuzzling his nose in her cheek affectionately, making her tremble in his arms.
"She who is the string tying the five." He whispered, showing how each one of the Pandavas were touching her, in one form or another.
The way she leaned sideways, her head resting against Yudhisthir's outer thigh, his one hand caressing her head.
The way Bheem's hand clutched with hers, assuring and protective. Arjun holding her other, supportive and possessive.
And the twins touching her thighs, where the eldest's son of Madri portrayed the intimacy of a lover.
The younger twins just below her knees, portrayed the assurance of a friend and a partner.
"The five elements of a husband, Jyest here reflects the guidance that if ever required you'll get from all five of us." He began, nipping her nape, making her heart jolt at his words and touch.
Making her feel like she was dreaming rather than it all being real.
"Bhraata Bheem signifying the protection and assurance of your five husbands to. There isn't any danger that can touch you, so long as we are there." He promised, his eyes holding hers captive.
Speaking more, than words ever could, expressing more, than one could imagine.
"Time and again, we will support you in your every decision. And you know how possessive we are, when it comes to you. We can probably share everything with the world, but never you. You are solely to us five, Bhraata Arjun signifies that here."
Possessiveness laced his words, making her heart skip a beat.
Had someone else spoken the words, she would have been terrified. But with him, it all felt so right.
She identified herself as theirs, and them as hers. Instead of fear, the words gave her an assurance, a sense of belonging.
"We'll be your bests of friends, and the most understanding partners. Sehdev here reflects that." He whispered in her ear.
Meaning everyword he spoke, tracing his fingers on the nape of her neck. Illiciting a shiver from her.
Swirling her in his arms, he pressed her delicately in the wall.
His eyes tracing her every feature, from her beautiful soft lips that beckoned him for a taste, tempted him to ravish them.
To the long beautiful swan neck that pulled him in. Arousing feelings he knew she wasn't ready for yet.
A darkness swirled in his eyes, he leaned forward, his lips caressing hers, but not really kissing.
"And I, signify love, and intimacy, that as your husbands, we share with you." Passion weighed in every word he cooed in her ear.
Blazing a fire of an unknown need, that burned her from within.
Making her heart escalate.
"The heart of the five." He named the girl in his painting, cooing the words in her ear.
She bit her bottom lip to stop the moan, that threatened to slip.
Lowering his head, he merged his lips with hers. Hands clutching on her waist, sending her heart galloping in a furious pace.
Sparks rushed down her body, making it come alive like an electric wire, pleasure zinging through her.
Warmth pulsing between the two, making her toes curl at the unbidden pleasure.
A piece of her soul seemed to merge with his, she gasped in pleasure.
Whimpering as he bit her bottom lip. Her grip tightening on his shoulders.
As he wove a world of his love for her, pulling in her, in a realm where it was just them and their love.
Her lungs burned for oxygen, turning her head, she broke the kiss. The sheer intensity of which had her head spinning.
Her fingers tightened on his shoulder, her natural fragrance of blue loutuses pulling making him lose himself.
He kissed his way down her neck, the velvety feel of her soft skin setting the blaze in his chest to burn brighter.
"Arya." She half moaned, half whimpered.
"Drau." He crooned, pulling back.
Laying his forehead against hers, controlling the beast in him, that wanted nothing more than to ravish her.
To pull her on the bed, and make her scream in pleasure. But he reigned it all in.
She was too innocent for his carnal desires.
He groaned, "You drive me crazy." He whispered in her ear, kissing her temple.
Sparks of pleasure zooming down her back. "I want to talk to you both." She whispered, trying to clear the haze that had settled over her.
He hummed, nuzzling the tip of his nose in her neck. Reveling in her proximity, her warmth.
"I am listening." He mumbled distracted, his hand moving her hair on one side of her neck kissing it all too softly and sensually.
Her pearly teeth sunk in her scarlet bottom lip, the heady effect of the pleasure began to slip on her.
"A.arya." She shuttered, struggling to hold on to the reality, and not slip in the vortex of pleasure and sensuality, that her husband's every touch promised her.
An unventured territory of ecstasy, and warmth. That he seemed all too familiar with, and desperately wished to show her.
"Please Arya."
She whined, feeling his hand tighten on his waist, clutching as though fearing she would disappear in a blink of an eye.
Her body heated, answering to his every ministration. His one touch, kindling roaring flames.
The flush on her body intensified, his every touch, making her slightly jump. Like being electrocuted with sparks.
That numbed every last of rationality.
The primitive male in Nakul, reveled in her responsive touches. Exploring, and caressing, noticing how his one mere touch had her putty in his arms.
Blazing the fire of pleasure, and intensifying the need, the craving and all too mindblowing desire for her.
Never in his life, he craved someone so much, as he did her. Not just physically, but more on the soulful level.
Where he could shower her with every pleasure, his soul interwining with hers.
"Yes baby, I am listening." He hummed, sucking on her soft skin, enjoying her torment.
Mischief unfurling in his chest, as his hot, wet tongue, his mouth closing over her soft, supple skin, making her shudder violently in his arms.
"No you are. . .not." She gasped, his teeth lightly sinking in, not really breaking the skin, just adding some pressure.
"Can you blame me? I am the husband of the most beautiful woman of this world. Me getting lost in her is only normal." His voice took a husky tone, making her heart clench, the flame of mischief kindling in him.
"Arya. Please." She whispered, making him sigh, groaning laying his forehead on her shoulder.
"Really that important?" He groaned, not liking a bit of the fact that he had to let her go, she giggled, "Yes, very." She whispered.
"Life is a bit-"
"Bit unfair." He quickly back paddled, smiling at her, like he wasn't cursing a minute ago.
He sighed dramatically, kissing her forehead, he took her hand in his. Giving her the best puppy dog look.
A giggle left her lips, warming his heart. "Please Arya?" She whispered, turning her head sideways, like an adorable puppy.
"Just because you asked me so nicely." He teased, beaming at her, he pressed his lips on the tip of her nose.
"Come let's talk to Mr dull." He teased, earning another giggle.
He pulled her in his section, leading to his younger twin's room.
Ceiling to floor length shelves engraved in the left hand side of the wall, with perfectly aligned books, were the first thing that greeted her.
A portrait of the five brothers, their mother, and her, hung proudly on the wall in front of his bed.
Where Kunti and Panchaali sat on two seater couch, the five stood surrounding them.
"When did you draw this? You are such an excellent painter." She whispered, tracing the painting.
Again, it was the same fine work of mural. A painting that looked realistic, like any moment all of them would speak to her.
"How do you know I am the one who drew it?" He asked curious, he never told her that, painting was one of his hobbies.
"You have a heart of an artist." She replied simply, making him chuckle, amazed at the girl ahead of him.
Just as he thought he had figured her out, she would do or say something, that would leave him wondering, just how much more amazing can she get?
"You are something, aren't you princess?" He teased, his tone though light, had a thread of seriousness, making her cheeks turn a darker shade of scarlet.
"Drau?" Arjun's voice from the doorway had her turning, he along with Yudhisthir stood there.
Curiousity tracing their features, just as their eyes found their wife. At this hour, Panchaali never left her room, it is the reason they made a point to visit.
Seeing her here surprised them, they were glad finally she was moving around more freely.
"Need something dear?" Yudhisthir asked walking in, shutting the door behind them.
A calm smile playing on his lips, while his eyes fell on his wife. She looked marvelous in her coral lehnga.
The soft lace material that frilled right at the bottom. Her hair were once again pulled in a thick and long fishtail braid, a trail single jasmine flowers, emphasizing it's beauty.
"Actually I wanted to talk to you all." She whispered, nervousness lacing her words, breaking Yudhisthir out of his stare of her.
"What about?" Sehdev asked walking out of the bathroom. A look of curiosity and surprise reflecting on his features.
Panchaali? And in his room? It was a pleasant surprise. Happiness surging in his heart.
"Um." Nervousness unfurled in her chest, how should she tell this? It felt all so new, never in her life she had been suggesting an excursion.
Where it was a small thing for most, for her it felt all too much.
"Where is Arya Bheem?" She asked instead, noticing his absence.
It was strange how she missed even though she had seen him not long ago.
It was another thing their relationship had done to her, whenever they were not around she missed them.
It didn't matter if they had met moments ago.
"He is out for some important work, will be here soon." Arjun whispered, hating the fact that he lied to her. He was home, just in no shape to meet her.
She gazed up at him, the trust in her eyes, making the pang of guilt hit harder in his chest. Twisting it like a sharp blade.
"Drau?" Sehdev prompted, her breath caught in her chest. What if they said no?
The four shared a look, her nervousness unsettling them. Their protectiveness stirred, making them imagine the worst of scenarios.
Yudhisthir walked up towards her, talking her hands in his.
"Love." He crooned, her heart accelerate.
"Come with me." He spoke all too softly, guiding her towards the bed, making her sit comfortably, at the center of it.
Her back leaned against the headboard, Arjun sat on her one side Nakul the other.Yudhisthir and Sehdev sitting in front of her.
Had it been the Panchaali before her wedding, she would have freaked out, screamed a bloody murderer even.
But now, all she felt was a sense of protectiveness and belonging, like her world was complete.
The only thing missing was her arya Bheem, if he had been here, it would be perfect too.
Arjun and Nakul wrapped their hand, around her back. Yudhisthir and Sehdev taking one of her hands in theirs.
Jolting her out of her thoughts.
"Did something happen Drau?" Arjun asked concern lacing in his words. "No, Arya." She shook her head, still contemplating to how to go about it.
"Did anyone say anything?" Nakul asked a dark edge playing on his words, Panchaali shook her head.
Their heart tightened, Yudhisthir cupped her cheeks between both of his hands, making her gaze in his eyes.
"Did any male say or touch you in any way?" The eldest pandav tried to be calm, but the fury he felt, had his heart pulsing in his chest.
The grip of other pandavas tightening on her, wrath sparkling in their chest.
"No." She said, shaking her head furiously. They all got it wrong, she mentally grumbled.
"It is just that Mata Kunti suggested we go to this little town, where they hold festivals every twelve years. So I came if we can go?" She whispered.
Their shoulders visibly sagged, tension disappearing from their body. An excursion? This is what she was nervous off?
They wanted to laugh at her adorableness. She was the cutest.
"Drau, you scared us." Sehdev sighed, chuckling with his brothers. "You princess, will be the reason why I grow old faster." Said Arjun, chuckling, making her frown.
Did she do something wrong? She wondered.
"And why are you nervous about it? Surely, you didn't think we'll bite you off for suggesting a little vacation?" Teased Nakul, pretending to bite her, she half squealed and giggled, making the others laugh too.
"Of course we'll go dear." Yudhisthir said smiling, cupping her cheek in his one hand.
He wanted to pinch her cheeks, the way her eyes lit with joy and excitement at his answer.
"Yes! Now I can tell Bhanu and Pauravi that we can disguise as singles! It will be so much fun with everyone Ayu, you all, Bhanu, Pauravi, Bhraata Duryodhan. " She gushed excitedly, nearly vibrating with all the suppressed energy.
The air in the room thickened, shock zinging through their bodies.
Single?
Back the hell up!
Did they heart it right? Did she just say the word single, Ayushman and her in one sentence.
Like hell that's ever going to happen. A silence fell over the place, one could practically hear the heartbeats, it was that quite.
"Hold on a second." Arjun said, his hackles rose.
"Posing as Single?" Sehdev asked, simultaneously.
"And Ayushman is joining us?" Nakul questionioned spontaneously.
"Fuck no! You're not going anywhere." The eldest son of Madri growled, once the shock dispersed.
"Nakul!" The three voice warned. "But Jyest-"
"No. Just no. Doesn't matter the reason, we do not talk to her like that for asking something. Clear?" Yudhisthir's firm command leashed out, reinging in his brother's anger.
Who nodded, giving her an apologetic look. She smiled, placing her hand over his, squeezing it reassuringly.
Nakul sighed in relief, leaning in he pressed his lips to her forehead. Her heart skipping a beat.
They were possessive, it wasn't really her fault. And Yudhisthir didn't see the reason to raise their voices on her.
"But arya, you just said we will." Panchaali whined, turning to face her first husband, who stomped down the roaring fury in his chest.
"Panchaali, you posing as single?" Yudhisthir mumbled, thinking of all the males who'll be there.
His natural protective instinct kicked in, a beautiful woman like her single in an event, he could just imagine the throng of males courting her.
That was something maybe he could still handle, but the perverts. Just the thought of them made his blood boil.
Who was he kidding? He didn't like any male around her, anyone whom he didn't trust.
And she wanted to walk out there all alone? What is wrong with her? Forget about Panchaali, she's naive.
Doesn't know much of the world. But what of his family members? What were they thinking making her believe this was a good idea.
And which husband would accept, her wife going out there disguised as single? Which husband would like to see his wife being flirted or courted by another?
They sure the hell didn't. From day one of their marriage, they had been saying one thing, she was theirs.
Simple. What part of this three words anyone didn't understand? Or she didn't understand?
"No. Just no love. You want to go out we'll take you somewhere else." He said suggested, reinging in his protectiveness.
"Please Arya, I really want to go." She whined, making them want to groan. Why? Why oh lord? Why always them I this sticky situations?
"With that Ayu? Not in my next ten lifetimes." Nakul mumbled under his breath, nearly spitting the name Ayu, like it was a curse.
Possessiveness thrummed through him. Buzzing him with a darkness. His wife. Just theirs.
Not some Ayu or Mayu, who one fine day woke up and decided to haul their asses to Hastinapur.
She was their wife. His.
"Arya please." She pouted, giving them her best puppy dog face, making their hearts thud.
Her pouting sizzling their hearts, they couldn't resist that pout, not that they would ever tell her.
But damn it. Why Drau? Ask for something else, we'll give in a heart beat. The pandavas urged her.
"No, Drau." Arjun said sternly, there was no way in heaven his girl is going anywhere with that oaf of a man.
And disguised as a single? Not in a next billion years.
"But arya, you all just said yes." She whined, why suddenly a no?
How is this even fair?
"We can go to the norther islands, if you wish." Sehdev suggested, faking an excitement.
"No. I want to go this village that Mata suggested." His wife replied adamantly, making his excited expression drop, a huff leaving his mouth.
"The Himalayas are a beautiful place." Nakul tried, he wouldtake her around the freaking space, but not anywhere near that Ayu.
"Mata's suggested place is even more beautiful." She replied, folding her hands under her breasts.
"The south has brilliant forests." Arjun suggested, grinning, pretty positive she wouldn't say a no.
"Still a no." She shook her head, making him groan.
"Drau, anywhere else dear. In any other disguise, but not this." Her first husband stated firmly, making her pout all the more.
Their hearts clutched, what sort of a wish was this?
"Arya." She whined.
"Drau." The four chorused sternly.
She huffed, folding her hands over her chest, moving out of her bed. "Where are you going?" Arjun asked, standing up.
"Not to Mata's suggested place don't worry." She grumbled, walking off.
"Drau." The four called, following her. "Don't follow me." She said trying to sound stern.
"Or what?" Yudhisthir asked amused. "I don't know?" She said to herself, what do wife's do when angry?
She wondered.
The four chuckled. "You're so cute." Sehdev crooned making her frown, she wanted to look dangerous, not cute.
She turned around squinting her eyes, a firm expression appearing on her face.
"I won't talk to you all." She said firmly, alarms went off in the pandavas mind.
"Wait no." Nakul nearly shouted, but before he could get to her, she was already walking out.
"Drau!" The four shouted half panicked. "Damn!" The first son of Madri growled, once he heard the door click shut.
"How do we make her understand?" Arjun growled running his fingers through his hair, tugging at them.
Yudhisthir pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing annoyed at the turn of events.
"Posing as single? What is she thinking? Here Ayushman is after her knowing she's married, just imagine her going there as a single female." Sehdev grumbled.
"A freaking blood bath by my hands." Arjun growled, his hands itching to snap some necks, just thinking about it.
"Ayushman is still better. No matter what, I have never seen lust in his eyes. He keeps a respectful distance, always looks at her with respect, and maintains her dignity." Yudhisthir said matter of factly, he didn't really like Ayushman.
But he had to give the man some credit, he was bareable.
"Only reason why he is still breathing." Nakul confessed, growling.
"But events like those, have perverts of all sorts. One look at her, and I swear, heads will drop." Sehdev snapped, fury reverberating through his words.
"Why does she not understand such a simple thing?" The elder twin whined.
"That's because she is naive. Innocent. According to her, because she's good. She assumes all will be good as well." Yudhisthir stated, he loved her innocence, adored it even.
Did everything to not get it contaminated, by the evil of the world. But situations like this made him wish, she wasn't so innocent.
Pauravi and Bhanumati can disguise as singles, they have known this world for almost thirty years now.
Met and dealt with a lot of people, a lot of experience, on dealing with different people and understanding the lies and traps.
And his Drau? The girl was practically still learning to read and write. And she wanted to go out as a single.
"But that is not how the world works Jyest. She is our wife. How can we let her walk in that crazy ass place, with god knows what sort of people without our protection."
Nakul stated, frustrated at the fact that he couldn't make her understand this.
She was sweet to the core, wore her heart at her sleeve. But not all people did.
People out there were monsters. And she was too vulnerable like any baby was when born.
What he didn't understand how he married his daughter off so soon? Never in a billion years, would Nakul ever marry off a daughter, if she is born through a yagn.
Just because she is physically grown into a beautiful young woman, you marry her?
Is it what the woman qualification is to marriage?
Don't they too need the right amount of psychological understanding of the long term emotional attachment and adjustments that they will have to make.
A person as Draupadi, who doesn't have a proper knowledge, forget about the education, but also the fact what a marriage actually entails.
There was no doubt that Nakul adored her, he loved her even. He knew that. But at times he gets scared what if it wasn't Arjun who had won her hand?
Where his wife did understand her responsibilities as a bride, and daughter in law of the family, and did it all so beautifully.
Even better than any bride before.
But she lacked the understanding of the expected physical intimacy that entails in a married relationship.
Sure they could just walk in, and one day do the deed with her. And the sweetheart that she is, he has no doubt that she would ever protest.
But the question comes here, is it what she is ready for? How right is it to pull her in relationship she didn't even understand the meaning of?
It wasn't that Nakul didn't crave that level of intimacy with her. Or the others didn't.
The question here was, the understanding that their wife lacked. It was a war of it's own to reign in their emotions around her.
But until she was completely educated on this subject.
The risks that entailed, her hormonal and her body, the physical and mental bond of a couple, the pregnancy, the child, the self care, the difference between love making and marital rape, every other topic.
So she could evaluate her situation, have a proper grip and understanding of her situation, and than, and only than could make a decision for herself.
Not with the sense of "duty", that most woman did. That just because she is married to them, she has to sleep with them.
Like come on, it is a very special moment for any woman. And he want his woman to make that choice for herself.
After all Panchaali is more than a body to them, and their relationship is way more than just sex.
They have needs, and desires, like any other male. But they refused to let that desire be the reason of their wife's demise.
The major reason why women around the aryavart died. Early pregnancies, or the depression that followed, or at times suicide because of marital rapes.
Topics that were brushed under carpet. And it was one thing that the five had decided together, on their very first day of marriage.
A complete understanding and her concent in this relationship. Where marriage was not all about sleeping with your wife, and popping up babies, but a journey of life together. . .
"But Drau has asked something, how can we say no?" Asked Sehdev, breaking the chain of his twin's thought.
"She isn't looking at the complete situation." Arjun grumbled, irritated and annoyed at the happenings.
He really didn't want to deny her, but how can he allow this?
"Let's do one thing, we agree to this." Yudhisthir began, after thinking awhile, clearing his head of all the possessiveness and anger.
"But Jyest-" the three protested.
"Listen to me. We agree to this but with a few conditions." Yudhisthir began detailing out the plan, making the three grin, like cats that ate the canary.
"Jyest you're a genius!" Nakul shouted, throwing his arms around his elder brother and kissing his cheek with a loud smack.
"Ew Nakul!" Yudhisthir cringed, wiping his cheek. Earning laughs from other two.
"It is my love!" The eldest son of Madri whined, faking a sad voice. "Than keep it for our wife. I prefer social distancing." The first husband of Panchaali shot back, humor tainting his words.
"You wound me. In this magnanimous world, no one cares for my love. I have so much of it." He said dramatically.
"Guys we have another problem at hand." The youngest pandav cleared his throat, earning the attention of the three.
"What now?" The third son of Kunti asked, yawning.
"I don't know you guys noticed or not, but our wife is angry at us. So, we need to actually get back in her good books, before we go ahead with this plan." The youngest pandav pointed out.
The four frowned, exchanging looks. "And how do we do that?" Yudhisthir asked gazing at his youngest brother, who raised his hands in surrender.
"Don't even look at me. I don't have any girls in my wardrobe that I have mastered on. My specialty lies in books, but sadly wife's don't come with an operating manual." Sehdev teased, earning laughs from the other three.
"Just imagine one for our Drau. To make Panchaali happy press the botton 'A' on right." Arjun said, earning a bout of laughter from his brothers.
"To make her angry press 'B'." Sehdev added.
"And to have the ultra blast of anger that will have you quaking in your knees press 'C'." Nakul said monotonously, mimicking the instruction guides, present for competitions.
The room filled with their booming laughter, Yudhisthir shook his head, chuckles peeling out of his lips.
Turning to the door, he tried to catch his breath. But instead in left in a whoosh.
There stood his wife, hands folded over her chest. Eyes squinted, glaring at him.
The usually calm flame her eyes, today blazed bright and high. And he could see himself and his brothers, getting roasted over it.
His laughter converting in hard coughs, face paling. His wife was angry. And not just angry, she was furious.
But unknown to their demise, his brothers laughed.
He mentally shouted at them to shut up, but one look from her, and he knew, that if he opened his mouth he will be in deeper grave.
Probably in hell even, playing fugdi with his father, Yamraj.
"Oh and the way if woman came with manual, you know what the book would look like?" Nakul asked laughing.
Yudhisthir shook his head, I don't know what the book would look like, but if you didn't shut up, you would surely look dead.
He mentally stated, facepalming when the two laughed harder at his question.
He glared at them, looking at Panchaali's face, that intensified in a shade of red.
"Nakul it's late let's sleep." Yudhisthir said in voice laced with suppressed warning, "Oh come Bhraata it's not even bed time." The eldest son of Madri stated, waving his hand in air.
The eldest son of Kunti didn't know whether to slap him, or himself. The man was adamant on making their graves deeper.
"A book on woman's would definitely have stacks of empty pages. For no one has known what they really are." Sehdev added, earning a bark of laughter from the two.
And Yudhisthir wanted to bang his head on the wall. The pages might be empty our caskets to our pyre won't be! If you all don't shut up.
Sehdev doubled over laughing, his gaze moving to Yudhisthir, who stood shaking his head.
He still tried to control his laughter, looking sideways at his eldest brother, who turned his head, pressing his lips together in a 'we-are-fucked-and-you-have-no-idea-how-deep' smile playing on his lips.
The one siblings technically gave each other, when they could see their parent preparing for a lashing, and the idiot sibling is too busy getting in trouble to note it.
Sehdev gave him a confused laugh, Yudhisthir forced a laugh, cupping his brother's cheek, and facing it towards the door.
Faster than the water that gets evaporated in Sahara desert, Sehdev's humor did.
The laughter caught in his chest, turning into a fit of coughs, that Yudhisthir smirked and rubbed his back of.
Getting in problem, makes you feel panicky and scared. But seeing sibling realise that he is falling in the very same hole with you, has a different level of amusement.
Sehdev paled, gazing at the love of his life, reminded him of Mahakali avatar of Parvati.
"Jai Bhadrakali." Sehdev whispered joining his hands meeting Yudhisthir's eyes, who smirked, "jai Bhadrakali indeed." He whispered, humor tainting his words.
That dispersed the moment his eyes settled on his wife.
"Oh brother I have dated so many. Yet I can't understand a single one of this woman." Nakul said chuckling, "They are unsolved mysteries brother." Arjun added and the two laughed.
"They'll be the reason of are unsolved mystery murders, I swear." Sehdev grumbled, giving his elder brother a panicked look.
"Do something." He urged.
"She is my wife too. I am in as much hot water as you all are. And this two are making it reach the boiling point."
Yudhisthir greeted, glaring at his two siblings, who unwittingly were singing their death certificates.
"You remember Rajkumari Ulekha, the one you dated?" Nakul began gazing at Arjun.
"And you know Nakul you are about to die." Sehdev mimicked his voice, grumbling under his breath.
"Discussing your past relationship in front of your wife. Ha! And I thought they had brains." Dharmraj mumbled.
"That one with mermaid waist?" Arjun said after some thought. Yudhisthir and Sehdev coughed hard, ready to strangle their siblings.
"No, no that was Aarti. No, wait Aarti is miss silky hair. oh wait Bhoomi, was mermaid waist. And her sister Trisha was the deep eyes." Nakul said with a dreamy sign.
"Oh lord grant heaven to my twin. I pray to you, to him in your arms, and help him cross over to the realm of afterlife once my wife grills him to death." Sehdev gazed at the ceiling praying earnestly.
Yudhisthir groaned ready to murder the two. This grave was now fiery, he was sure even their ashes won't be found.
"Nakul it's late." Sehdev gritted his teeth, forcing the words out of it. "Why the hurry with sleeping? Oh wait! You were in a similar hurry the day you met Disha, the princess of Bhangadh." Hummed Nakul.
Arjun laughed, the two sharing a high five.
Sehdev's eyes widened in panic, shaking his head rapidly, he gazed at the door. But his wife was taking none of it.
He shut his eyes, mentally beating the shit out of Nakul.
"Nakul." Yudhisthir began.
"Missing Pooja. Don't worry I remember her name as well." He teased, "Pooju." Arjun teased, and the two laughed.
Yudhisthir's paled, his eyes meeting his wife. He wanted to scream, She was a girl who had crush on him, when he was six.
But of course Panchaali didn't hear that.
Sehdev walked over to Arjun. "Bhraata!" Exclaimed faking a loving voice, throwing his arms around his brother, turning him around.
Till he was facing the wall, and Arjun the door. He felt Dhananjay's body go taut.
"Fuck!" Arjun hissed.
"Oh don't worry, you and Nakul have already fucked us up, hard rough and fucking fiery." Hissed Sehdev.
Arjun's mouth opened and shut,God, God God! This was a soup that he will be roasted and boiled in.
He pulled back from Sehdev, all three facing Nakul, shaking their head a no. Warning him to shut his mouth.
"Why are you all being so weird?" Nakul asked confused. "You are behaving as though Panchaali is standing behind me." He teased.
Serious as death, the three stared. "She is." They chorused.
His smiled dropped, heart pummeling with a craziness, that had his breath hitch.
Turning around all too slowly, he felt like he was facing his nightmare.
"Drau-"
"You mean mermaid waist, don't you?" She asked sarcastically.
The four felt their hearts jump in their mouths. "No, Drau it's not like that-" Yudhisthir began.
"Pooju?" She taunted, her eyes glaring at him.
"Drau-"
"Oh I think you meant Disha." She said with a tight lipped smile.
"Darling-"
"Bhoomi is the right name." Sarcasm dripped off like acid burning the four.
"Let us-"
"Not another word. Not now! And don't you dare follow me!" She growled, shutting the door with a resonating thud, making the frame shake.
The cringed, their hearts beating wildly.
"Nakul!" The three growled. "Sorry!" He shouted, but they run behind him, he jumped over the bed, and the table, twisting and turning in air, landing on his two feet.
The three scaled around, "I swear you are dead!" Arjun growled.
"Arey yaar! I didn't know she was there!" He whined putting the cough between them.
"I warned you!" Yudhisthir shouted.
"Sleep sleep Nakul? At least say dead Nakul. That freaking made more sense!" He screamed panicked, as the three growled running behind him.
"Okay! Time out! Time out!" He called, sitting on the floor, the three sitting around, before laying back, gazing at the floor.
A silence descended on the four. "How do you deal with a wife this angry?" Arjun asked.
"Murderous is the word brother, not angry." Sehdev mumbled.
Knowing they screwed and screwed bad, how do you sort mess like this with an angry wife. . .
