A brand new beginning, and a new brand of suffering!

I'm adding slavery and other heavy topics to the list of trigger warnings.
But hey, whaddya expect? There are things like that in canon anyways.

Where were they? Was this hell? Wasn't hell supposed to be extremely hot or extremely cold? This place... Had exactly the same temperature as their skin and no coloration at all. They were just... Floating in the abyss. At least they weren't boiling or freezing, they hated extreme temperatures... well, yeah, of course they did, who didn't?

They were dead, huh? It was not as though they cared all that much. Their life was nothing enviable, it was average at most. Sure, it was a shame that they never achieved anything of higher value, that they never reached their dreams.
That guaranteed spot in the college they got thanks to entering many educational programs will now sadly belong to somebody else. But they can deal with that, after all it's not like they have the ability to do anything about it.
Only thing that they hoped for was that Rika would face consequences of her actions.

But that aside now. Floating in abyss is not a thing that should be overlooked for too long, but they managed to almost forget about it. So once again, they questioned themself, where were they? Turning around (possibly even multiple times, it was hard to tell where was up and where was down) changed absolutely nothing. They were not even certain that they managed to actually turn around.

Everything was just monotone black, but despite that, they could see their body when they looked down. There was some sort of haze around them, sure, but they could see anyways. Their clothing was dirty and bloodied, and even ripped in few places, but their skin was clean and mostly unblemished. There was a few new scars that looked freshly healed, from their fall, they assumed. The new scars were mostly shallow and they assumed that most of them will be gone before long.

,,..."

Silence that was present before suddenly changed its flavour. Despite the fact that there still was no actual noise, it was different. The air suddenly gained a metallic taste, not dissimilar to the taste of blood.
Since there was nothing else than their own thoughts to ocuppy their mind, they became hyper-aware of this change almost immediately. Fear momentarily swirled through their mind, and they attempted to suppress it, using logic and the fact that they are dead anyways.

,,Child."

Suppressed fear came back with the force of a large tsunami. The voice was so... so... full. Of everything. It was as though a cacophony of any sound one could come up with aligned the tones to speak.

,,Uh... Hello?"

Their mouth moved by an instinct. It was only right to greet something as powerful as this being, and if the greeting was too informal? Well, too bad, nobody can change that now. Death number two by a collosal, faceless, bordering on eldritch being can't be all that bad.

,,Poor, all too young child, little lost soul."

The being monologued on, ignoring their words of greeting. Did it even hear them?
Well, if it didn't, they're not going to draw its attention. It might be better to stay quiet and listen. They might even get to know what is happening right now.

,,I pity you. I truly do. Your end was not meant to be as soon, you weren't meant to leave this way."

A little pause ensued and something in its not-face moved. It looked a bit like blinking, but they weren't sure.

,,You will be reborn. Soon. I shall ensure that, so worry not my child."

Oh, so now, they're being called it's child. Fuck's sake, can't the being just call them somewhat normally? Would it be too hard for it? But then again, they apparently get to be reborn. What a joy.
Maybe this time, there'll be no psychopathic friends who just one day decide that they're a yandere esque little bitch and murder you.

,,This world, it should be suitable for you, don't you think, dear child?"

A window, perhaps a portal of sorts? Appeared under the gesturing arm of the being. For a moment, the darkness was overcome by very intense light, that blinded Grey.
It took a moment for them to be able to see clearly again. They stared into it for a few seconds, astonished by the architecture, before fully recognizing the place. If they weren't mistaken, and they were pretty sure in this matter, this was one part of Red Line. More specifically, it was the so-called "holy land" of Mary Geoise.

,,I... Uh, thank you, yes. That world... It's, uh, it's definitely suitable."

Their voice was coarse and full of hesitation. They wanted to go to that world, it was on of their crazy dreams that plagued every avid fan of any fandom! But... Going there would mean going into world full of people who have surpassed all human limitations.

,,I hear hesitation and fear, child. What is wrong, is that not your wish?"

Of course the being noticed.

,,I am scared. Yes. I will be weak. I might die again too soon."

Their sentences were choppy and well... Not optimal version of communicating with a higher being, but that was the best they were able to produce with their still fear-ridden brain. They felt embarrassed.

,,Oh! Is that all you worry about, all you fear? It's an easy fix! I will give! Powers to survive!"

Suddenly, the beings voice became so much more jovial as it clasped it's two hands together and tilted the head a bit... While keeping a third hand over the portal.
It leaned down and reached towards them with its fourth and fifth hand, one under their feet, one over their head.

,,Be well, my child. We will see each other, I promise to talk to you. In your dreams."

The hands started moving them towards the portal and the light started intensifying and brightening until it was unbearable to keep their eyes open, until the eyelids weren't enough to keep light out of their eyes, until they had to cover their whole fave with hands because it felt like it will explode from the brightness, until, until...

Until the light faded and they felt cold smooth surface brush against their back and sides, through rough clothing that barely covered them.
