💄Wendy's💄

8, government reserve road was an epitome of beauty. A two storey building made of marble and granite design. Every thing reels of class. The lawns were well laid, flowers planted around giving it a Serene look.

The automated gate opened up and Jeremy drove further into the compound, the compound was twice as large as ours back home. Guards standing around protecting God knows what. I could hear dogs barking from a distance.

"We're here" Jeremy informed us as he  finally got to the car park and parked his car beside a silver sport car. The cars at the car park got me speechless. I couldn't hide my amazed look as we got off Jeremy's BMW.  I thought I have seen cars but cars parked here could eat deep into my fathers life savings.

"Close your mouth before flies get in" Brenda said sarcastically as she went passed me.

"Let me help you with this" Jeremy said trying to get my hand luggage from me.

"No, I replied firmly, I don't need your help" I moved away from him, giving us much space.

After the stunt he pulled on our way here, why is he trying to help me with my hand luggage now? Help fire.  I thought in my head.

He snatched the bag away from my hands.

"Is something wrong with you I asked in disbelief

"Behave like a lady for ones Wendy, stop being mule headed" I starred at him in awe as  he strolled towards the same direction Brenda went.

I had no choice but to follow him into the building. "Follow me" he ordered.

"Like I had a choice" I said under my breathe.

He stopped and stared at me for a while, smiled and kept walking.

What the hell is he smiling about

We walked down a long hallway that was painted with gold and white, the floor was made of Marble. This house is huge I thought to myself as I looked on in amazement. I heard voices coming out from the far end of the hall. As we got nearer I noticed it was Brenda's voice. What was she on about again. I wondered.

Jeremy got to the end of the hallway and turned right, this lead us to flight of stairs which we took. The interior design of Leona's house was top notch, it looked like those you could only dream of. Everything was painted gold or white. It gave this royal vibe with a fairytale topping. As we kept going the beauty of the house kept blinding me, I have never been in such a place.

My house was beautiful no doubt but not as magnificent as the one I was in right now.

Leona's voice brought me out of my admiration.

"Hey!! You guys are here, dad meet Wendy" she called out.

A middle aged man who was as tall as Jeremy,  turned and faced us as we walked closer. He was jaw dropping gorgeous for his age, he had a well chiseled face sprinkled with white well shaved beards.

"Jeremy's Wendy" Leona's dad asked. Directing this question to Leona.

There was a slight pause.

Jeremy's Wendy huh!

"Yes dad, you got that right" Leona replied her dad gleefully

I stared from Leona to her father then to Jeremy who stood embarrassed.

" Wow" Leona's dad said coming closer to me. He brought out his hands and I took it.

"Welcome to our home, feel free my dear, we don't bite"

He turned towards Jeremy

"Make sure she is comfortable"

At that Leona's Mom walked in, "hey darling come see Jeremy's Wendy"

"Oh God, this is so embarrassing" I heard Jeremy tell Leona who came closer to us during the introduction.

"Mom and dad likes her already, you see" she told him brushing her shoulders with his.

"Leona, this is all your doings" I heard Jeremy reply her.

"Hey!!! Wendy I'm Topaz, Leona's mom, Jeremy's Guardian, we're very happy to finally met you"

"Thanks ma" I said shyly looking at the petite woman, she was so beautiful and reminded me of my Mama. My mother too was so welcoming.

"Oh c'mon be free" she said pulling me into a hug. "Don't be shy".

"Leona can you tell mom to stop being dramatic " Jeremy told  Leona.

Leona's mom pulled me off, and told Leona to go show me my room. I looked around and noticed Jeremy was gone. He must have been really embarrassed.

"C'mon Wendy let's get you settled".

Leona brought me into a well furnished room due for a princess. She stayed awhile discussing her parents, she asked if I was embarrassed about her parents way of welcoming me, I could only smile. Her parents aside Fanny's late parents were the most welcoming people I've ever met.
She ask me not to take what just happened to heart that her parents could be a handful sometimes. She asked me to have some rest and expect the unexpected tomorrow.

"If you need anything, I'm three doors away" she said and left.

After Leona left, I finally got time to rest and process everything that happened when I arrived.
What did they mean by "Jeremy's Wendy"? Have they been talking about me. If Jeremy has been talking about me why then has he been giving me cold shoulder, why was he hard on me? I really would love to know what he has been telling them about me. I couldn't just wait to call Fanny and tell her about this new gist.

Tomorrow was the party, Leona said all I had to do was look pretty, and pretty I must look for that one person who was forming hard to get...
