Leona finally talked me into travelling back down south with her, her cousin and Jeremy.

I found out Leona was an only child to Jeremy's uncle boss, the man who had secured the scholarship for Jeremy. Jeremy lived with Leona and her mom in Denmark before he moved out.

She talked about  how she had  a crush on Jeremy when they first met, then she found out she was older than him and killed that feeling. She said she was into older guys.

She didn't even stop there, she told me how Jeremy wouldn't stop talking about me.

What did I ever do I thought to myself only if she knew he just wanted to fuck me.

"Jeremy told me you're studying medicine"

"Oh!" so he was actually listening the other day.

"Yes" I relied "I will be travelling back Sunday morning."

"We would be traveling too Sunday morning" she said clapping her hands like a child we'd travel together then".

"I don't wanna be a bor.."

"Cut that crap" fanny who had been pretentious all through finally spoke.
She stood up and came closer, Leona staring happily at her.

"She's going with you guys miss gorgeous" fanny told Leona who smiled at Fanny's compliment.

I was in the vehicle with Jeremy, Leona and Leona's cousin who was my course mate Brenda.

Brenda and I were on loggerheads. She openly called me a bitch one time during lectures. She said I acted like the world revolved around me.

Yes the world do revolve around me, I had the brains, the looks, the tits, the hips and the ass. I thought to myself

The clout chaser Brenda, was drooling over Jeremy, I was watching her from the rearview mirror.

I sat in front with Jeremy and we weren't traveling in a  comfortable silence, we were in an awkward situation, Leona  had to start up a discussion, just to remove the cloud of tension.

"Brenda here study medicine too in your school,  I guess you guys have met before.

Before I could answer Brenda replied her cousin.

"yes, I know her. She is a bitch, everyone knows her. The bitch with the brains" I watched as she rolled her eyes.

Thank gracious she was smart Enough to add "with the brains" would have been mad if she hadn't

"Brendaaaa" Leona drawl

I watched Jeremy as he made a very annoying sound and replied

"I wouldn't doubt that"

"Jeremyyyyyy" Leona said alarmed "where are your manners guys" she asked them.

"and, Brenda continued she thinks the world revolves around her"

"Yeah!  I second that" Jeremy said while looking at me for a second before taking his eyes back to the road.

We were caught in an awkward situation.

I turned my face towards the window and stare at the moving buildings and other cars. blocking Brenda's bickering. Dumb bitch

"My pop's birthday is on Saturday" Leona informed us after a long silence "you're invited Wendy".

"I don't think I can....." Leona cut me off before I could finish.

"oh come on,  you're coming, Jeremy here will pick you up on Friday evening after classes"

Wait, this was moving too fast

"why me" Jeremy asked. Irritation marring his cute features.

"You don't have to,,,,." I was about to say

"yeah I don't have to,  she can find her way down"

"she will do no such thing" Leona said you're are picking her up, be a gentleman for ones Jeremy ".

Jeremy went mute.

How the hell does she have a hold over Jeremy like this.

"It's settled" Leona said smiling broadly. I looked through the rearview mirror and found Brenda fuming. Die bitch.

We got to my school and was  dropped off at the campus hostel. Three hours of driving and getting to know Leona as a nice person and  could be a good friend. I noticed Brenda didn't get down she left with them.

I thought she stayed in the campus hostel. "Uhu" I did.

After I got back into my hostel room, I found out my roommate kessy hasn't  arrived yet, I could tell because her bed was empty,  kessy always had something on her bed, you could tell she was around by her bed. She was one scattered girl. I got settled and called papa.

"hey baby, how was your trip" papa asked

"Fine"

"How's Leona" papa continued

"She left"

"What's with the monosyllabic answers" papa asked

I rolled my eyes knowing my papa very well, I didn't want him asking anything outside the ordinary.

"I'm just tired, the journey kinda tired me out" I replied.

"Okay" papa began "I would allow you rest, say hi to your church friend with the cute car" papa with  amusement in his voice said.

"Bye papa" I told papa and ended the call quickly feeling really embarrassed.

I called Fanny.

"Baby girl how was your trip"

"Fine fanny, and yours" I asked her. She too left for school this morning.

"Good, good I'm with robbin as we speak"

"Robin? I asked "who's Robin"

"Fine specimen at the bar"

"Does he attend your school" I wanted to know.

"No, he came with me, I'm marrying him" Fanny said sarcastically.

"Are you drunk or something"

"Very sober baby, I'm in love" she told me. I heard someone chuckling at the background.

"Bye Fanny" I ended the call before she could embarrass herself more.

What's was wrong with my family. Papa first and now fanny.
