REVIEW: This was my 'Halloween' read, and one that has been on my TBR since I can remember. I really loved this book despite it not being quite what I expected. I came into it with the idea that it would be really scary in a more gory way, but I was pleasantly surprised to come to see that it is more than that. It's a story exploring loneliness, and man's quest to be understood and loved.
The structure of this book was so beautiful, and the element of story-telling throughout made this a much more intense and personal story. I'd hear lots of mixed things about this novel, but I thought it was incredibly interesting and fun read. The setting of the story really added to the novel I think because there was this sense of the story moving all across the world, like Frankenstein could never escape what he did even when his monster was not present.
FINAL VERDICT: This was such quick, and exciting read which was tension-filled and epic.
