Chapter 3: morphing
Reminiscing is a curse.
What's my problem?
Have you ever thought how much you morphed in your life?
When I was young, I believed in goodness, I believed in fairness, I believed in truth.
I trusted in people who surrounded me; I trusted my parents to take care of me physically and mentally but they turned out to be the one who hurt me emotionally always.
I trusted my brother and sisters to stand by me but they just didn't care.
I trusted my friends to accept me for who I am and love me as I am but it didn't work.
I was good friend. I love them, stood beside them through thick and thin. I just wanted same in return.
Was it too much to ask?
I was pure, innocent and highly gullible and naive.
I was blinded by all that was fake and non-genuine.
I was nice, I am still nice.
I am never rude to people.
God knows they have their own demons to fight, I don't want them spare their precious energy for me.
Where did I go wrong?
I lost my trust.
I lost my beliefs.
I lost urge to do something good for the world.
I was altruistic. I needed reason to work hard. I needed someone who would give a fuck about what I do.
I studied hard to achieve the dreams that my parents placed upon me, never asking what I want to do with my life, and trust me when I tell you I was happy.
But when all my mighty hardworking didn't bare the fruits like they wanted, they abandoned me.
They say I have changed.
